Story

Today was the day that I set out for a new adventure in Whitchurch. I wonder what lies ahead for me there. Maybe I could even write again. Even though my one and only friend turned out to be a murderer, I feel inspired to write about her story as a mystery. I don't normally feel like I should write about things like my own friends' murderous rampage but for whatever reason, something is compelling me to do so. However I told that feeling no, if I were to write again it would be on my own terms. Again there was a feeling to write mystery and murder. I wouldn't mind writing about mystery and murder but I would never write it about my own friends' incident. 'Beep Beep' sounded the car horn. It was time to leave the Welsh border. I was going to Whitchurch, Shropshire. England provides many places but not many small loving towns like Whitchurch in Shropshire. It may be a market town but it's small and a very loving place. Everyone was so nice to me when I visited as a little girl. I can't imagine leaving my old town apartment in Abergavenny. This is also a market town in Monmouthshire. There's not much left to do in this town anymore. Whitechurch will be a nice breath of fresh air, they say a change of scenery can truly help anyone. I wonder if I'll find something to write about when I get there. The whole trip took three hours but it was worth it, because now that I see this beautiful place I feel like a new person. Now to find a place to live.

" There's a place to rent at Shotton Hall ma'am" said the driver.

"Thank you young man, how much do I owe you?" I ask, but all he did was shake his head no.

" No ma'am this one's on me. I was off duty when I picked you up so it's no problem."

" Oh tish tosh I never take things for free young man, now how much is the fee I owe you" I sternly replied.

"Well then ma'am, that'll be £4.50," is all the young man said with a very big smile on his face. I thought it was funny that he almost insisted that was the price. But I knew better so I gave the man £8 instead.

I thanked him again and headed over to Shotton Hall that the driver mentioned. The walk wasn't too hard or too far and it was such a beautiful place, I almost couldn't take my eyes off it. It's time that I start moving on with my life. I thought to myself, I wonder sometimes why I drone on in my own head. But then I realize it's because I get inspired by talking to myself. That's when I had bumped into someone. I looked up and who do I see, none other than my own nephew Harry.

" My word, is that you Harry?" I asked.

" Huh, Aunt Maybelle? What in God's name are you doing here?" He sounded almost angry.

" You haven't heard yet? There was a terrible murder at my reunion last week. I didn't want to stay there any longer so I figured I'd move up here. Never expected to see you here Harry, it's a nice surprise. I haven't seen you since you left for college. My my how you've grown. I'm trying to rent one of these apartments. Maybe you can help me my dear nephew."
