As Long As You're In My Daughter's Body, You're Grace

"Did you notice the way she looked at him when he stepped in?" Mrs. Jiang asked her husband, chuckling as she thought about it.

"I had to jab her with my elbows to close her mouth," Zoe said, giggling.

"To think our proud princess pleaded with him to stay with her," Chairman Jiang said with a broad smile.

"Maybe the accident isn't such a bad thing. At least something good is coming out of it. I hope she regains her memory soon," Mrs. Jiang said, suddenly looking serious.

"Don't worry, honey; she'll be fine. We will need to inform Mr. Tae-joon about her current condition," Chairman Jiang said as they got out of the car.

Immediately Ann and Tae-Joon got out of the car. Ann slipped her hands into Tae-joon's hand, making him look at her in surprise while Chairman Jiang and his wife pretended not to notice.

Ann decided she would make the best use of the opportunity she had been presented with. Everything might go back to normal, or she might just wake up to find out it had all been a long dream, and then she'd start having regrets.

Tae-Joon tried to remove his hands, but she held him firmly, surprising him once more. He hadn't known she had such physical strength. She was certainly full of surprises today, he thought.

Chairman Jiang turned to his wife and Zoe, "Please, take her inside. I'd love to be alone with Mr. Tae-joon," He said as he led the way to the living room.

Ann reluctantly let go of Tae-joon's hands, worried she wouldn't be able to see him before he left.

Mrs. Jiang led her up the stairs away from Tae-Joon, with Zoe following closely behind.

"I just had to speak with you. I'm sorry we haven't met since your grandfather and I decided on the union," Chairman Jiang said, smiling at him apologetically.

"That's not a problem, sir. I perfectly understand," Tae-Joon said politely.

"I actually called you back to talk to you about Grace. Seeing as you both seem to be getting along and you'll be family soon, I felt you should know what the doctor said. Before I go into that, how was your date?" Chairman Jiang asked, looking at Tae-Joon with open curiosity.

He didn't need to give the man the details of the date since it had been a total disaster, but for the sake of their parents, they had agreed to pretend to get along.

"It was fun," He said and added a smile to make the lie more convincing.

Chairman Jiang chuckled, "You really don't have to lie. I know my daughter, and I know her well enough to know that the date must have been terrible," He said, chuckling again. He really liked the young man and hoped the young man would end up becoming his son-in-law.

Tae-Joon didn't know what to say to that; he didn't know whether to be honest, or stick to the lie. He opted for a shrug instead. If the man said he knew his daughter, who was he to say otherwise?

"I'm certain you noticed her unusual behavior today. Grace isn't feeling very well," Chairman Jiang said, pausing to consider the most appropriate way to say it without making it seem like she had a mental problem.

Tae-Joon listened to Chairman Jiang, not wanting to interrupt or ask him questions.

"What I mean is, she seems to believe she is someone else. She has no idea about who she is. I don't know how to explain it to you because I don't understand it myself, but she doesn't remember anything," Chairman Jiang said, looking at Tae-Joon helplessly.

'She obviously has no idea who she is, seeing the way she was clinging to me a while ago. It'd be easier dealing with a Grace suffering from Amnesia than with the normal one,' Tae-Joon said to himself.

"You mean she's suffering from Amnesia?" Tae-Joon asked, wanting to be sure he'd heard him right.

"No. The doctor said it wasn't Amnesia. It's a form of Personality disorder. She thinks she is someone else," Chairman Jiang said.

"Thanks for letting me know about this. I'll be on my way now. I'll see her tomorrow," Tae-Joon said, standing up to take his leave.

Ann entered Grace's room; she had seen such rooms in movies but never in her wildest imaginations had she ever believed she would step foot in one.

"This room is beautiful," She said as she looked around the room.

"Quit being a stranger in your own bedroom," Mrs. Jiang chided gently as she entered the room.

"Grace, this has been a long day for you. You need to freshen up and rest. I'll have the maid bring your dinner upstairs," Mrs. Jiang said, turning to leave.

"Sorry ma, I know this may be difficult to believe, but I'm not Grace. Please, call me Ann," Ann said, looking from Zoe to Mrs. Jiang.

Mrs. Jiang stood by the door as she stared at her for some seconds without saying anything, and then walked towards her and lovingly tucked the stray hair on her face behind her ears.

"As long as you're in my daughter's body, you're Grace. Don't worry, honey. You'll be fine," Mrs. Jiang said and walked away without looking back.

Zoe stepped inside the room and sat on the bed. Though she didn't understand much of what was going on with her sister, she was going to stand by her.

"What's your name?" Ann asked Zoe.

"Zoe. But you always called me Baby sis or baby," Zoe said with a fond smile.

Ann smiled at that, so the Ice princess was actually fond of her kid sister. She could understand why. Looking at Zoe, she had the face of an angel with innocence written all over it, but looking at her eyes, Ann could tell Zoe knew more than she was given credit for.

She had the body of a teenager, but Ann could tell she was in her early twenties. She liked the girl effortlessly.

"Although I'm not Grace, but if it makes you comfortable, I could call you Baby sis, too," Ann said with a smile. She had always wished she had a younger sister, and she'd just experienced what it felt like to have a younger sister.

"You can call me whatever makes you comfortable until you regain your memory," Zoe said, patting her hand. She didn't want to put any pressure on her older sister.

"Thanks, dear. I'll call you Zee instead. How about that?" Ann said, smiling fondly at her. Seeing how nice Zoe was, Ann wondered where Grace had gotten her bad manners from.

Zoe clapped her hands gleefully. "I love it."

"Zee, please, I'd love you to tell me everything I need to know around here," Ann said, looking at Zoe with pleading eyes.

"You know you only need to ask. Just tell me when you're ready, and I'll tell you everything you need to know," Zoe said excitedly.
