"I Smell Love In The Air."

As Zhang Wei lay on his bed alone that evening, he couldn't help but think about what had happened in his car between himself and Zoe.

Why had his heartbeat doubled after brushing his lips with Zane? He raised his hand to his lips and quickly took it off, and shook his head.

How could he be thinking about brushing lips with his only male friend? Had it affected Zane as much as it was affecting him? He wasn't into guys, so why couldn't he get that picture off his head? Zhang Wei wondered with a frown.

His eyes fell on the monopoly set on top of his bookshelf, and he smiled when he remembered the game between them and how they had fought with the pillows.

After leaving his house earlier, they had gone shopping for a suit and shoes for Zoe. "You have to try it out," Zhang Wei reminded Zoe when she made no move to go to the changing room after picking the suit.

"Uhm, Sure. Okay," Zoe said before walking into the changing room to try out the suit.

Just as she took off her polo shirt and was about to wear the shirt, She saw the doorknob bend as though someone was trying to open the door. Zoe panicked and quickly blocked the door as she looked around, wondering what to do.

"Zane? Is something wrong? I need to try out a new suit I just got as well," Zhang Wei called with a frown.

"Oh! Ah, I'm okay. Just give me a second," Zoe said as she hurriedly buttoned the shirt and pulled the door open.

"Are you okay? Why are you sweating so much?" Zhang Wei asked in concern as he stepped in to take off his clothes.

"I'm fine," Zoe said and quickly rushed out of the room to give him space to dress up.

"This looks really good on you," The young female sales clerk said as she eyed Zoe appreciatively.

"Thanks," Zoe said with a blush as she walked over to stand in front of the mirror. It did look good on her, and she almost couldn't tell that she was a lady. She smiled at her reflection in the mirror appreciatively. 'I make a really handsome young man,' she said to herself.

"We need to get you a good shoe," Zhang Wei, who had just stepped out of the dressing room, said as he looked her over. He dipped his right hand in the pocket of his trouser with a thoughtful expression on his face before going out to pick a shoe for Zoe.

"What size of Shoe do you wear?" Zhang Wei asked Zoe and looked down at her legs. He frowned when he noticed how small it looked.

"Size 38," Zoe said as her cheeks warmed up in embarrassment. There was no one she could lie about her shoe size, especially not when she was probably going to be testing it in front of him.

'So cute,' Thought the young female sales clerk who was attending to them as she tried not to giggle when she saw the look of embarrassment on Zoe's face.

Zhang Wei tried not to chuckle, too, as he walked over to pick a shoe for Zoe. "This should do," He said and handed it to Zoe so she could try it on.

Zoe stood up to walk over to the changing room, making Zhang Wei cock a brow, 'He also couldn't expose his feet in public?' Zhang Wei wondered as he lifted a finger to stop the sales clerk from saying anything.

Zoe quickly took off her shoes and stared at her brightly colored artificial nails. How was she ever going to explain such a feminine and well-pedicured foot to him? She quickly slipped on the shoes and stepped out to join them in her complete outfit.

"Yeah, now you look complete," Zhang Wei said, punching Zoe's arm and making her wince.

"We can leave like this then," Zhang Wei said as he stretched out his card to pay for all the clothes.

"No, we can't," Zoe said as she dragged Zhang Wei to the side so the sales clerk wouldn't hear what she wanted to say. "My mother and sister are going to get mad if they see me wearing such expensive outfits. They will even be angrier when they find out a rich person got them for me," Zoe told him with a frown, making him nod.

"Okay. I understand. You can change out of the outfit then," Zhang Wei said before he went ahead to conclude the transactions with the sales clerk.

As they walked out of the place and returned to the car, Zoe handed the shopping bag to Zhang Wei. "I can't go home with that. My mother would kill me," She said without meeting his eyes.

"Oh! That's fine. I'll pick you up from your neighborhood two hours before the date so you can have ample time to get dressed and be at the restaurant before Miss Yang Lan's arrival," Zhang Wei said as they got into the car.

Zhang Wei raised his head when his mother knocked on his door, interrupting his thoughts.

"Yeah?" He asked when she looked in to see what he was doing.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" She asked with a smile. She really wanted to hear as much as she could about 'Zane.'

"Sure. Is dad bothering you?" Zhang Wei asked as he sat up.

"It's about your friend. I like him," Madam Zhang said with a smile and prayed to high heaven that it was Zoe as she was suspecting.

"You've been saying that since you saw him, I'm sure if I had brought someone else, you would like him just as much," Zhang Wei said with a scoff making his mother laugh.

"There is something special about him," His mother said with a smile.

"Aside from the fact that he seems to be much weirder than I am?" Zhang Wei said with an amused smile. His mother had always been the person he shared most things with since he didn't have friends.

"Weirder? How?" His mother asked with a curious smile as she drew closer to him.

"He has a lot of phobias. He is Aquaphobic and even gymnophobic. Only God knows what other phobias he has," Zhang Wei said with a fond smile. He was looking forward to knowing all of Zane's phobias.

"I guess Aquaphobia is fear of water, but what is gymnophobia? Fear of gymnastics?" Madam Zhang asked with a confused frown making Zhang Wei chuckle.

"Fear of gymnastics? So funny! It is actually the fear of someone else seeing his naked body. You won't believe he even went into the changing room to try out his new pair of shoes," Zhang Wei said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Oh! That must be serious. So for the Aquaphobia, he doesn't shower or what?" Madam Zhang asked curiously. She had never seen anyone with such a phobia before.

"I have no idea. It probably has to do with swimming. I overheard him telling the dance instructor he couldn't join them for the swimming lessons because he was aquaphobic," Zhang Wei said, making his mother smile.

How convenient! Having a phobia for everything was suspicious. Madam Zhang thought with a smile.

"He is a very interesting young man. I will leave you to rest now," Madam Zhang said, getting off the bed.

"What's with the sudden change? You aren't going to ask me about the preparations for the blind date tomorrow?" He asked, narrowing his eyes suspiciously. That was so unlike his mother.

"I'm sure you have it covered. Goodnight, darling son," She said, blowing him a kiss before leaving for her room.

"What are you smiling about so happily?" Her husband asked when he noticed the mischievous smile on her face.

"I smell love in the air," She said happily as she placed her hand on her chest and sniffed the air dramatically.
