Chapter 22: I'm in
Well shit I still feel like throwing up. Damn it Shiro what the hell did you do to me man. Cruz seemed to be looking around once we got home which was what he was always like, but a little more on edge. I had to get food for dinner at the shopping district so we all went our separate ways. People were congratulating and cheering for me which made me feel strange and happy. I think Cruz was probably on edge since he had stolen a lot from people so now that the Capricorn guild is high ranked we were pretty famous. I thought that Cruz would be cocky seeing as now we were somewhat famous. As I went and bought everything I caught a glance of Cruz spying on some people who seemed wealthy or noble in an alleyway. He had a look of greed or envy. I went towards his alleyway and tapped him.
"Ok I'm sOrry I waSn't going to steal anyThing! I hAve stRong friEnds in the CaprIcOrn gUild so you beTteR waTcH oUt to nOt huRt mE!" Cruz yelled. I knew he was kind of a coward, but damn at least have some pride here. I gave him a disgusted look.
"It's just me so you can stop pissing yourself. What are you stealing now?" I said with a smirk. He gave me an annoyed face for a second.
"I didn't piss myself so shut the hell up. I'm planning to steal from these douchebags. I saw them beat up homeless people who asked for money. I'm planning to steal and give some money to the homeless while getting a little something for myself." He said to me while giving me a weird smirk. I felt that he was egging me on to join him.
I sigh as I say,"Ok I'll join you on this robbing mission." Cruz stood up and went silent as he continued to watch the noblemen. We followed them for hours while staying completely silent and concealed. We soon managed to arrive at the mansion.

"Hey Chloe come on we need to go to the guild master to find out everything that's been going on." George said. I didn't really want to go beside Vicente and Cruz were gone already.
"No thanks, I have some things to do. I have a sort of trip which I'm going to go to soon." I say lying straight to their face. I'm really just going to visit my dad and mom. I went towards my place and prepared my carpet to fly towards my parents house. They lived far off in a secluded place seeing as my mother was an assassin who murdered a lot of people. Those families would want revenge and my father who was an alchemist who helped my mother by creating poisons and different types of artificial spells to fight with. They were one scary couple and fairly wealthy. They each wanted to teach me a lot and would constantly fight with each other which would get annoying.
"I was hoping to catch you while you were alone who knew that I had to use my flying wagon to get to you. I'm looking for your parents so silently show me where they are." A voice said. I don't think that they have heard of me. I did feel a knife on my back.
"Use skill: Artificial Spell 1- Volcanic Fury." It was an artificial volcanic eruption spell. I helped create and even learned it. This spell put some space between us.
"I see you're as skilled as your mother and father. You are still one person so this won't be too hard. I'm just a bounty hunter, but I have to get paid somehow. Use skill: Devil's Hand. My brother is off working for some nobleman as a bodyguard." It felt like I was wrapped around in something. I was being squeezed more and more.
"You bastard! I have my parents to see and my special someone to see later on. I'm not dying anytime soon. Use skill: Never-ending Plague. We'll see who has more will piece of shit." I felt like Vicente had rubbed off on me a bit.
"I will admit that I may have underestimated you, but if I die my brother will come after you. Oh yeah the name is Issac Ion." He was smiling when he said this. I did feel the squeezing did slow down and even loosen when I used my skill. I need a little more time before he passes out. I still had to kill him after and then there was his brother.

Cruz and I had to go into the sewers to enter the mansion. I really didn't want to, but I wanted to get some extra gold coins to get through the month since I didn't feel like going on quests. I wanted to train and see if Dante could continue teaching me. We finally arrived in the mansion with masks that Cruz had on him. We couldn't risk being spotted. We did our best to knock out or sneak past any guards. We came across a vault and I was on lookout while Cruz opened it as fast as we could. We took out some bags and took as much as we could without making it too noticeable that someone was there. We left closing the vault and I thought we were safe.
"Nice try, but you won't get away just yet. I'm the bodyguard of this place so be prepared to die you petty thieves. I am the amazing Noah Ion. Use skill: Devil's Fist" I felt that this guy was way too cocky. I know we were wearing masks, but still. A manifestation of a fist came towards us.
"Use skill: Ancient Dragon Fist." I overpowered the fist and went for another to actually hit him.

"Use skill: Secret Alchemist style- Artificial Elements." I really hope my carpet will be able to withstand this. He couldn't move and I couldn't either while he tried his best to withstand both the debuff skill along with my spell. I saw him standing when it was done. I felt the squeezing stop as I was able to move freely.
"Use skill: Headhunter." My knife struck him in the neck and through killing him. I flew down to a river and cleaned myself off from all the blood as I went to my parents' place and got ready for the constant arguments on who would continue to train. It always ended the same way with both of them training me on different days as a sort of schedule. I hope Issac's brother isn't close by.

Cruz and I synchronized our moves to beat him. He was strong, but this felt like overkill. I felt that either one of use could have beaten him. Cruz did need some convincing after the first try didn't completely work out. He really was like a child some times or most of the time. We went our ways as when I arrived Dante was outside. He gave me a hug which gave me a familiar feeling. We went in and I prepared a meal. I told him everything even up to stealing from the nobles about an hour ago.
"Serves those rich bastards right!" He said to me.
