Chapter 40: Pursuit
We were in pursuit of Pandora's box as Heracles especially seemed to be in a rush as he told us that his father told him that one destiny was the complete obliteration of Greece. There was nothing that Heracles wanted more than to protect his home and the people inside it, but he was in such a rush that I felt that he could make a mistake that could result in that exact situation. Vicente didn't seem to notice as we kept up the high pace, we finally arrived at the dropoff site of Pandora's box since this was the location we found out about.
"I doubt that we are going to find Pandora's box, but try and find another clue to where they all could have gone so they could hide away and use their plan to possibly do a lot of things." I finished, as Heracles and I looked around the perimeter for tracks which we did find in an irregular way. The distance between each track was different and didn't seem to have any kind of pattern.
"We can follow these tracks, but let's tell everyone else while we let them keep searching for any clues on who these people might be. There's also the possibility of Pandora's box not being on them and there being another place where they hid or are using the box for their goals." I explained to Heracles,"Ok George, let's go tell them." We explained the plan to everyone as Vicente wanted to come along, but I refused to let him come with us since he was needed there instead of with us. Vicente did seem a bit upset about it, but he eventually relented as we left to find the people who stole Pandora's box for their plans. We kept running, following the tracks which were completely irregular, at the fastest pace we could go at without stopping even for a single moment to take any breaks. Multiple thoughts came to my mind when I saw someone that Vicente had described to me once before, his older brother Johnny, as he seemed to recognize me too and smile, widely.
"Use skill: Devil's Limiter Release. Use skill: Devil's Hand." My skill made contact, but the attack seemed to completely disappear once it hit him. Johnny looked completely unaffected by the skill as he didn't even care that I had attacked him. Heracles attacked his buddy, who wasn't as lucky as Johnny, as he was sent flying in the direction of a nearby stone cliff. Heracles looked around before coming to help me as Johnny formed an orb in his arm, the orb gave off this extremely horrible vibe and soon I found out why I felt that way when he hit a nearby tree with it as it was reduced to nothing. Another one of Johnny's buddies came to attack Heracles and tried to restrain him with some spell or skill that I hadn't seen before.
"Where the hell is Pandora's box?" I said, through gritted teeth. Johnny replied as if it was common knowledge,"It's gone, but there are people going after your friends with the box since we have what we needed from it. We knew of something special that the box contained, but you'll find out when we get everything we need for--the end. I did take some of its power, but that box is like a never ending reservoir of dark and evil energies. I didn't take too much as we still need it for our plan, but it'll be more than suitable to take someone like you down." I was really starting to get worried about them, especially since he said that he didn't need the box rather what it held inside it so that meant that the power of the box was completely for their enjoyment. Damn it, I left pretty much everyone there so we can't help them out here and Greece could be in danger thanks to these circumstances.

[Vicente's POV]
Shit, shit, shit! These guys are inflicting us with a shit ton of things: illness, cuts, and other evils the box contains. The only reason we're not all dead is because both Chloe and Hailey were keeping us safe with skills that they learned to combat against the evils they were attacking us with. They won't allow us to use any other skills as we were in a cycle of constantly getting inflicted with that dumbass box's evils and being healed by Hailey and Chloe so we couldn't even attack them unless we wanted to speed up and get inflicted with even more evils. Cruz didn't look good even after being healed by them, but I knew that there was going to be a point where they couldn't heal us, so I decided to charge forward towards the box and the two people who were smiling at us with their disgusting faces. The Dragon of Chaos told me something that we could do as I smiled.
"Use skill: Aura. Use skill: Weapon Eyes. Use skill: Paralysis Eyes. Demonic Infusion. Use skill: Dragon Infusion. Use skill: Power Storage Release. Use skill: Dragon of Chaos- Nightmare Mode. Use skill: Conqueror Style- Conquista Final." I felt something grow from behind my back as the stinging pain did relieve a bit as I felt the same feeling from the first time as the box was destroyed. The two looked at me like I was a monster as Hailey, Cruz, and Chloe attacked the two people and restrained them since they would be paying for their actions. I saw something deep into everyone, including me, as I felt my body grow even stronger as I ignored it for now. The box disappeared into complete nothingness as we wouldn't be worrying about that box for any longer, wait did Heracles need that box back?
[George's POV]
This guy is tough, but I figured out a way to hit him as he was getting pretty beat up until I was hit by something. Heracles was thrown by someone as when we looked back at them--they were completely gone. We returned as we found Vicente panicking as Heracles thought that something with Pandora's box, only for us to find out that Vicente had destroyed it and was worried that Heracles needed it. We all laughed it off as we returned after a day of rest to check out more of Greece.
"I'll see you again, my friends!" Heracles put out his fist as Vicente and I bumped it and leapt through the portal.
