Chapter 43: Dark Grail

I wasn't feeling the best about the horrible ending to our last mission, but after 3 weeks of resting and trying to think about what I could do, I was back. We got this rest as a reward for all the tough quests that we continued to get, but today was our day back from this vacation although I still wanted to sleep in and not worry about quests. I guess that I got used to waking up at 6 AM rather than 4 AM since it was two more hours of sleep than usual, but goodbye to my extra two hours of sleep. The Guildmaster said that our team would once again be going on difficult quests like before and that the three weeks was only a break for a quest that was 'incoming' whatever he meant by that. I couldn't wait for the mission, [sigh]. Our team would be George, Shiro, Dean, Chloe, me, and Sophia. Dean had barely returned from her home, apparently, I could definitely feel that she got even stronger.

"You'll be helping our new allies Camelot, they've recently gone to war so you'll be joining in since they are our allies and it has something to do with your previous quest. Vicente, this is the second chance you have to make up for what happened in your previous quest."

"Guildmaster! It wasn't Vicente's fault!" George spoke up for me.

"George, it's fine. I'll be sure not to fail this time." We were going back to Camelot and I had something to figure out from King Arthur since he along with Merlin had a lot of wisdom. I wouldn't fail with their help since there was no way I would fail a second time around. We prepared for a bit and went through the teleport gate like we had always done while I wondered how King Arthur had been since we all hadn't seen him for quite a long time. What I saw on the other side of the teleport gate was practically the same as what I saw before, the only difference being some bigger towers. I was happy to see that everything was going pretty well for King Arthur aside from the whole war thing going on. There like before were King Arthur, Merlin, and the lady holding King Arthur's arm. Wait is that right? I needed to look back at her since I didn't know who the hell she was.

"How are my old friends doing?" Merlin seemed pretty cheerful.

"We're doing really great!" We all shook hands except for the lady's hand.

"Hey Arthur...who is the lady on your arm?"

     "She-"

"How dare you insult our king and my husband! Put some respect on his name and bow down to him! Don't act all friendly!" I was completely stunned by this moment that I just stood there until turning to George and seeing him frozen in his spot.

"Hahaha! I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself! I was only joking about all that!" She gave a really bright smile, but it still took me a second to come back down to the planet and nervously laugh.

"You see, about 2 months after you left I met with my dear Guinevere. You and everyone else inspired me to try and long story short, we got married! Hahahahaha!" He seemed happy which was good while I thought whether or not it was time yet. I'm not sure whether it was time, but I think it would be better to catch up with everything that has happened.

"So the war is about the Dark Grail, it is the opposite of the Holy Grail. It grants an evil wish from the deepest of evil desires the person has, but first off Vicente! The person who started this conflict named himself your brother, Jonathan. I have to know the story and whether or not you are on his side. Merlin tells me that you're not, but I have to know so please indulge me and clash swords with me." Shit, I really don't want to fight King Arthur, but he really seems to want me to prove myself. We went to an open field and soon we were unsheathing our swords which like the Dark Grails and the Holy Grail were opposite. I decided to only use my power along with Aura and Weapon Eyes since I had this feeling that it was the right thing to do.

"Use skill: Aura. Use skill: Weapon Eyes." We continued on, but he seemed to be focused on my eye rather than my sword and movements. We fought while our swords created either a bright light or a darkness every time we clashed our blades together. Excalibur and my sword, Dragonic Chaos clashed multiple times until we both got sent flying in opposite directions. We ended up finishing it off by surrounding our swords with darkness or holy light which ended with both of us knocked out since I woke up in a really soft bed. King Arthur was in his bed, but woke up before I did as he came in and told me that he was sorry. He also said that he was putting his complete trust in me along with giving me some better armor and 2 entrancing items. They weren't for fighting, but I knew what I would do with them, as he showed me his forces along with telling me that I would be fighting with his Round Table. I was excited to meet them since they were his elite knights and were known for their strength, but at sundown a giant army full of soldiers in black armor appeared. I don't know what the plan was, but King Arthur told me to fight alongside the Round Table and to follow the Round Table into battle. I regrouped with everyone else and we set up a plan to tell the Round Table later, but King Arthur forgot to tell me where to meet up with the Round Table.
