Chapter 47: Last Stand

I was currently following the spy since Mordred was currently with King Arthur so he could take the overseeing of him for now while I follow the spy. She was going down the road with some guards which would make you think that she was already being watched, but I still had to watch over her. I saw the reason why when they were effortlessly knocked out, but they were frontline soldiers so they were extremely tired. I decided to follow her to see where she was going since I had to catch her in the act and so I did what I needed to hide. She went to the dungeon, but she passed by Jonathan and went towards the end of the prison to meet up with some cloaked person. She gave him a sword that looked like Clarent, but it couldn't be right? I fused Clarent with my sword and it became the sword I use now, but that sword was like Clarent. It was white and shined like Excalibur, but held more of a similarity to Clarent than Excalibur. I followed the spy as she imprisoned herself while I decided to follow the cloaked person instead. They had disappeared right before my eyes as I went back to watch the spy only to find her sitting down and doing nothing while in the cell simply playing with her fingers. I decided to head out since she was trapped and she couldn't do anything while in the cell, but no one was outside the dungeon. I really can't believe that person disappeared out of thin air and I just stood there like a complete dumbass. Shit! I can't think of what to do aside from telling King Arthur and Merlin. We still have to fight those bastards later, since they just number in the 90s. We can definitely end the war tomorrow, but we still have to worry about the cloaked person. I fell asleep and had a pretty nice dream about tamales which were extremely delicious, but it was cut short by George doing his morning routine of slapping my face to wake me up.

"Hey! Are you up yet?!" He kept slapping even though he saw my eyes open to which I reacted very professionally.

"Have a taste of your own medicine for once! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" I started to slap him too. We got into a slapping contest which was broken up by Sophia and Dean. We stopped and headed towards the battlefield for hopefully the last time to find that the spy, Jonathan, and Mordred were gone. King Arthur looked very unhappy, but we went to war anyways which ended after 4 long hours of fighting. The last monster was so powerful that it took the combined force of George, Sophia, I, Chloe, Shiro, Dean, and the Round Table to finish it off. We were all completely exhausted and wounded in one way or another, but we had finally won this damn war. That was what I thought until I saw Jonathan, the spy, and Mordred all riding horses while Jonathan held something very precious: the Dark Grail. Mordred held the sword that I saw while he showed us quite a snarky grin which didn't sit right with me or, if I had to guess, anyone else.

"Mordred, why!?" That was all King Arthur could say.

"You can say that I've seen the light. Now it's time for you to lose it." He charged King Arthur and soon they were in deadlock combat. The spy took on multiple soldiers and Galahad while we could only watch. Jonathan looked down on me from his horse and created a pitch black sword. I could barely block the attack, since I was really injured. He was fully rested from our last battle, but I had fought multiple battles in this war after our battle. He looked perfectly fine until he used his skill to become even stronger as I got up slowly to fight him. I found out the day after that I didn't completely have it figured out. The whole not wasting power wasn't completely figured as I thought it was, but I had an idea of what to do. I did need it now since any tiny bit of wasted power would result in my life being taken away.

"Use skill: Dragon of Chaos- Nightmare Mode." You have a full cup and you can't lose any of it or else. Fill the cup all the way up and control it, don't let it spill. Don't spill a bit of the water, or you will die… you can do it. Remember everything you've done up until now, so don't let that asshole have the satisfaction.

"Use skill: Conqueror Style- Basic Vertical Slash. Use skill: Conqueror Style- Basic Horizontal Slash." Our encounter was a power struggle for a second and it ended almost as quickly as it had begun, but when I looked back he was no longer there. King Arthur was finishing up Mordred with a look that seemed to make him extremely upset. I felt bad, but it wasn't my place to fight this battle with him, it was a family matter and I couldn't intervene if I wanted to. The spy was already done and captured once again while she complained about it being an unfair fight. Everyone else was invested in the fight between King Arthur and Mordred, but it ended soon as Mordred lost and was decapitated. The sword landed right next to me and I picked it up and used it to stand while passing it to King Arthur, only for him to shake his head.

"It is very similar to Clarent and my Excalibur, so I want Merlin to fuse it with your sword." I could see his sad look, so I didn't say anything else and went back to Camelot with everyone else. Merlin did what King Arthur told him while telling me that this sword was becoming quite powerful. Dragon of Chaos had a name change and overall change as I decided to save the new stuff for later since it was time to party for the victory in the war.
