Chapter 69: Success

[3rd Person POV]

"The end is here! This world's story has come to a close!" Followers of the cult yelled. Jonathan's face was stoic, as he recalled everything that had happened during his travels.

[Years before]

""Those who have been betrayed by destiny….do you wish to live? If so, take our hands and fight and train for our noble cause."" Teresa and Jonathan reached out their hands towards the one dressed in black, as they were healed. The person cloaked in black had no gender and only a big toothy smile. The cloak was only for hiding the fact they had no true identity and so both children found themselves looking at Vicente. He had just arrived and was about to go in to see his parents dead. The man that would one day die at Vicente's hands just looked at him with disgust and pity.

"Thanks for the eyes, but you won't unlock them. You're too weak to kill and you won't ever be able to do anything about your weakness. You will always be weak and have to live in fear of the day that I may come to find you. Not a single moment of rest, just the knowledge that you won't ever be able to avenge your family. The reason is simple really….it's. Because. You're. Nothing." Vicente in a fit of rage attacked the man and managed to slice the man's eyes, but sadly the man had the ability to teleport away without the need of his eyesight. Vicente found himself frantically searching throughout the house for his mother and father. Once he found their remains that were cut apart and burnt, he vowed to avenge them. Vicente felt a sickening feeling when he saw the body of his older brother Miguel. He had been tortured from what Vicente could tell. Every single one of his fingers and toes were broken, his eye was gouged out, his tongue cut off, his arms burnt, his scalp bleeding, and his face in an expression that could only be described as silent fear. Of one that no one could ever hear and that no one, but the victim heard. One that Vicente imagined in vivid details, as he looked around the burning house more to find his other two siblings. Their heads were merely cut off, a sign of a quick death that granted them mercy from the torture the rest of his family went through. The head may have been the body part chopped off, but their future was what was really severed forever. Jonathan and Teresa had no idea that their younger sibling had thought they were dead, but they only cared about surviving. They followed the man on the black cloak, without seeing their brother's anguish at their supposed deaths.

[Two years later]

"Remember to use any means possible for victory. Even if it means having to bite, scratch, or even break your own mind to do so. Winning is all that's important. I can't stay here for much longer because of the ancient laws that I'm bound to." Teresa and Jonathan were both saddened by this realization, "B-But...Dad! We can't survive without you!" Teresa argued.

"I believe in you two! I know that you'll be able to free me from these restrictions, so that I may spoil you rotten! We'll be together again!" The cloak figure internally smirked at how gullible children could be. He brought Jonathan aside, as he knew that at best he had a year left.

"Destroy anything in your path, even your mind, body, and soul if need be." The cloaked figure nodded, "Remember that we shall bring about the end together. We'll slowly introduce the idea to your sister during my remaining time. It's up to you to convince her and lead everyone on the right path to salvation. Destruction is salvation."

"Yes father," The siblings got back to training, as the cloaked figure started to feel weak. They had felt weaker with each passing day and soon they would be taken from this plane. They would only be able to see the siblings grow from afar, as they completed their plan.

'I'm going to get back at you. Siblings,' The cloaked figure smiled, as they watched Jonathan and Teresa destroying themselves to become even stronger. Somewhere else, Vicente was pushing himself even further beyond what should be possible for someone his age for one purpose. To find and kill the man who killed his entire family. Vicente lived, breathed, ate, slept, trained, drank, just for the moment in his dreams where he tortured the man who killed his family.

[7 months Later]

"Dad, I will follow you forever! I will make sure that we bring Destruction and Salvation to our world! We shall show them 'The End'!" Tersa had been slowly convinced by her 'father' and brother. They had slowly brought the idea up to her and had managed to get her to join their cause. She was willing to bring 120%.

"Remember you will need a soul of a person that would give beyond 100% to our cause, the ritual/blueprint found in Pandora's Box, a powerful or an infinite energy source, the Weapon Eyes that hold a piece of creation, the Dark Grail from Camelot to corrupt power source, and sacrifices. I shall give you the present that you will pass on to our followers. This is called---Corruption." Jonathan and Teresa reveled in their newfound power, as their father disappeared.

[Present]

'Soon enough, Father and I shall bring Destruction and Salvation together. We will revive my sister with his restriction free powers and show everyone, 'The End.' I've given up too much for it to all go to waste.' Jonathan's eyes had newfound determination and vigor, as he put on his new armor. His followers looked at him, as they killed themselves for the final step of the ritual. The Weapon Eyes disappeared, the leftover soul fragments were shattered, the new Negative Sphere Conductor overloaded along with the Dark Grail that was connected to it, and the black magic circle disappeared. Jonathan's laughter was the last thing heard, as an aura appeared that caused everybody in the multiverse to freeze up. Vicente's group all took a breath. The month was over.

     "Success," The cloaked figure said.
