Chapter 13: Second Test and Mental Struggle

"You'll find inspiration for your story while massaging my feet."

-- Mum

The auditorium was dead silent, all the students,Μαnti that had been separated from the other by Gæsi, Eikos, have been placed in this auditorium, for alchemists studies and learning. The Gæsi in question sat behind crystal desks with words flashing across the surface. The alchemist auditorium was wide and open, unborn baby animals locked in a greenish slimey liquid, though still see-able through the glass of the jars. Herbs of all kinds sat on shelves alongside them against the walls behind the Gæsi, thick tomes of books stacked and scattered across a single desk meant for the Gáókay or Professor of this class. Both suns were nearly touching in the afternoon sky,I could barely see the through the low hanging windows that raised all the way the the ceiling of the class. It had a medicinal scent that wafted from finished options and pills that were on shelves behind us. Each of us had a space of up to six tables away from the other, a transparent surface for a desk in front of each of us. We were 9 in total that included myself and Razé who sat closer to the front while I sat furthest to the back. A Gáókay walked between the aisles as we waited for our questions. The Gæsi had a paper copy of it next to them, they rewrite it on to the computer (desk) and then they would appear in front of us,they can see what we write as our answers and as we do they would mark the questions. The first few are our personal information, for extra credit I assume.

' Name: Asher Dawn

Age: 17

Year of birth: |||| 2097 April 5

Home World: Kpovos

Home Village/City: Norway,Zelt

Elements: All.'

'|' means a millennia had passed. It's their way of keeping track of everything that has happened even though their history would quite literally take centuries for a normal person to learn so it isn't necessary unless you want to be the wisest person alive. Not even the academy will be forcefully teaching so much history, after all they only have six years to teach every Elementors the right amount of things they need to know and they should also have at least seven years of studying experience under a Knight or another class of Elementor,I didn't get seven years because no one can take care of me amongst the group of knights that had received me at my bridge because it usually befalls them to do it. The first real question appeared:

Give a summary of what you know of demons and where they come from:

I paused at the question deliberating on whether I should answer it or not. Shrugging I scrawled the answer down swiftly.

There was a keyboard of words on the lower parts of the screen.

"They were humans,a lower subsidy class of the Cristina's main race. But their souls had been burned causing them to loose their sanity, making them stronger and giving them demonic properties, they come from the Dimension, Ariza, a world much like this one, unlike Cristina though it's occupants had taken slaves which was the main cause for the demons making. They, the demons, tore through one another gaining powers and furthering their insanity, their lust for blood and death. They had effectively brought the world they lived on to ruins, the people who were left fled through the first Avyn, an arch like structure with the symbol for space and time engraved on it, giving the Cristina it's first sub races, but also a way for the demons to enter the world. Due to the sub races on the origin world there were sub races for demons as well as higher tiered races among them. "

I cursed mentally when I had wrote origin because that was something that only the royals call the world the demons come from. Ah what the heck, he'll probably write it off as me just using the word as a replacement for its name, hopefully. The next few questions would normally not be answered that people without education could answer so I scrolled through them. In fact 58 in total. The questionnaire has only 103 questions in between there was a few easy answers which I answered but then skipped through. For instance I answered the question on what an Avyn is and the bridges that lead to other worlds in our dimension, also what our dimensions name is.

" An Avyn is a arch like structure that appear randomly on high mountains and valleys. It's ten times bigger than an average sized castle of a lower class noble. ( 187 miles high and 268 kilometres wide.) There are three versions of Avyn,a golden spiralling arch of stair that lead to a door with the special and unique scripture of the Avyn, a red arch with silver vines that wraps around the structure, a green arch that can only be found on the highest mountains or hidden valleys. No one knows what makes them unique and why they look different from one another....

A bridge can be made by a Elementor with great mana capacities or could be constructed by the world's themselves, compressed in to a bridge by lingering mana in the air or from an ancient artefact's mana. They connect the various world's throughout the dimension and make it possible for others to cross over and learn the ways of an Elementor and depending on what kind of bridge they had crossed would most likely have the strongest version of their respective elements.

Our dimension's name is Opvyos. ( Oh-Pi-vyi- os). " Finished,I might get a little more than 40%, barely passing, but enough to get to the next test. I sprawled out on the surface of the desk, not caring that I might have done something unreadable,I had after all never worked on a desk like this, the first time that I had,I had freaked out and fainted due to shock. I broke the mental walls around me down.

'Hey! Edward, how did I do?' I ask cheerfully and loudly in my mind. Edward jerked and looked up his eyes drawing towards mine, I could just barely make them out in the lights of the sun, they were a little gold and red. Struggling to keep my thoughts to myself while my walls were down was not my forte so he heard the small yet very audible voice in my head, thankfully not Lily, admire his eyes. They danced with amusement, before he answered my question telepathically in a clearly amused voice.

' You barely passed the requirements for the next test, congratulations,Asher. And I thought you were still mad at me for being suspicious of you and yet failing to get that devil that harmed your friend?' He questioned me. It's hard not to forgive you. Fudge cakes, wait,I thought that in Kpovos, one for clumsy mind and zero for idiotic side of my brian! He had risen an eyebrow eyeing me. I shrug.

'Sorry, what I meant to say was I forgave you the instant you removed that creatures head. What had you decided?' I reply while thinking of the custom weapon I want to make him, also making sure that he didn't see the general designs.

' About the custom weapon? In exchange for me being patient with you? Sure.' Edward says leaning back and scanning the auditorium, his eyes lingering on Razé. I glared.

'He is alright you know. It would be a totally different story if he had lost his soul but he hadn't he's still himself so quit worrying. And also the exchange went up to me being honest with you and you with me as well as being patient with me, for the weapon, even if it hurst your feelings, than you can stop being suspicious of every thing I do, deal?' I offer editing the deal for more benifits.

'.....Even if it hurts you as well?'

' Yep. Nothing you say would hurt me, you know. I'll maybe call you a meanie and get it over with if you were to diss me. But that's all.'

' Alright,I take the deal. First question then, who taught you how to write?' Edward asks,an image of my war buddy Haru flashed through my mind.

' Kumuzi Haru.' I answered and built the castle up again. Haru and I had met in my 40'th life, I had been sent to war by my uncle and had been the youngest among the recruits there and also the fastest and strongest in body at least, I was not the most skilled warrior back then even though it had been many years over.
