Mrs Park

Tom's restlessness at the backseat plus the noises that followed as he shifted about, was beginning to annoy Lisa again.

Why couldn't he just sit comfortably without shifting about? Does he have a sore in his butt or something?

She looked at the back seat through the rearview mirror and her cold eyes met his.

For about three seconds, they both stared at each other without saying a word.

She was the first to break eye contact to focus on the road.

"Germ—" Before he could say her name, he was interrupted by the sudden brake of the car.

"We're here." She announced to him.

He looked out the window and saw the really tall and magnificent blue and white building.

It had been years since he last came here and it was as if nothing changed.

Back then, the Park's apartment had been the best in the city, if not in the country.

But as years went by, new models and styles came up to overshadow this one. But even though it was old and somehow outdated, it was still pretty and fitted well in the society.

"I'll be out soon." He said to her before opening the door to head inside.

After a maid let him in, he saw Amanda's mother sitting in the sitting room with a fashion magazine in hand and a glass of wine on the glass stool beside her.

Mrs Park was in her mid forties, but she looked really young.

She always took good care of her skin, ate good food, practiced yoga, and did everything that would make her look young and fit.

She had short hair just like her daughter. And looking at her now, one could easily mistake her for Amanda because they looked so much alike and similar.

"Tommy!" She called excitedly before getting up to pull him into a hug.

She kissed both sides of his cheeks and acted too friendly for his liking.

"Oh my God. Look at you!" She said in a squeal as she took a few steps back in other to check him out.

He was dressed formally in a white button shirt with the first three buttons undone and grey pants, with a black shoe.

His hair was handsomely sleeked behind and the earring on his earlobe shone brightly.

"I knew you were going to turn out so handsome. I just knew it." She laughed again before pulling him into a hug.

This type of hug felt very strange to him.

One, he was never close to Mrs Park. Two, she was pressing her entire body unto him and he could feel her breasts through the loose tee-shirt she was wearing, and it was very obvious she wasn't wearing a bra.

When she pulled away this time, she planted an unexpected kiss on his lips.

His brow furrowed in a frown but he decided to not make much of it. He thought Mrs Park was provably used to greeting people that way since they've been living outside the country for years.

"You look lovely yourself" He finally said something to her before forcing out a smile.

"Thank you darling. Amy said you were going out with her. I'm so happy you're both close again." She began to giggle again and the sound of it annoyed the shit out of him.

What did she mean by 'You were going out with her'? Wasn't she the one who mentioned the outing to Amanda today? This was a volunteer service and not some romantic date!

"I'll go get her. Just relax and feel at home"

Mrs Park took the stairs and he could tell she was putting in a lot of effort in swaying her hips as she climbed the stairs.

He was a sincere man so he wouldn't lie and say she wasn't an attractive woman.

Her pants were body fitted so he could see everything worth seeing.

But he was never attracted to older women. He had seen a lot of older women throw themselves at him but they were never his type no matter how attractive they were. Maybe because they always reminded him of his stepmother.

"You came earlier than I expected" Amanda said as she appeared behind him. Thankfully, her mother did not follow her downstairs.

Tom stood up when he saw her and smiled willingly at how pretty she looked.

As if it was planned, she also wore a white shirt with the first two buttons undone. She wore a bright yellow trousers to cover her long and pretty legs, black heels, and a mild make-up on her face.

"You look lovely" He complimented.

"You also look wonderful!" She said with a smile before moving closer to hug him.

Tom was a bit startled. What was with them and the many hugs today?

He couldn't remember whether he had ever hugged Amanda before. Even if they had, then he had obviously been the one to initiate it.

So her action right now was really surprising.

"Thanks for coming." She broke the hug before he could return it.

"Can we leave now?" He asked her.

"Sure."

He didn't move but look up the stairs instead.

Amanda immediately knew what was up with him so she explained.

"My mother is busy inside. Let's leave."

He nodded and followed her outside.

When they got to where his car was parked, he opened the back door for her and got in after she did.

Immediately the car started, Amanda took note of the Lady behind the wheel and turned to look at Tom.

"Is she your driver? I didn't see her the last time."

Lisa heard her question but did not bother to give her any attention.

Earlier when she saw them coming out of the house, her gaze went dark.

She could not believe she had been waiting there for a long time because he had gone to meet one of his girlfriends. But taking a second look at the lady, she realised this girl was none other than 'Amanda Park'.

'Interesting' Lisa thought with a smirk.

"She is my bodyguard" Tom answered casually before relaxing on the soft seat.

"You didn't tell me you had a female bodyguard" She looked between Lisa and Tom.

"Didn't think it was necessary." With the way he sounded, it was obvious he no longer wanted to continue the conversation so she didn't ask further. But she kept looking at Lisa curiously.

"Hey! What is your name?" Amanda asked.

Lisa remained quiet.

"She's driving. Let her focus" Tom turned to look at Amanda with a small smile.

He did not want her to talk to Germany because he knew how Amanda always treated people she believed were below her.

"I just wanted to know her name." Amanda said with a pretty pout. It was beginning to bother her that the driver had been quiet the entire time and not even answering her.

Lisa wasn't interested in her. She was only working for Thomas and he was the only one who had the right to ask her questions. She hoped Amanda would understand that part.

"Ger— Berlin. Kim Berlin" Tom answered Amanda.

Lisa froze for a split second. She had almost forgotten her name now was 'Kim Berlin'. If she had wanted to answer Amanda, she was very sure she would have said 'Germany'.

She looked at the rearview mirror and saw Tom staring at her.
