Yang's Past

The host widen his eyes realizing who he was and pressed the button under the podium to call the manager

Seconds later the manager came and said "Welcome CEO Wang! I will lead you to your private room"

(Some people call him Mr. Wang (Yang) but most say CEO especially since Yang called in that he will invest stocks in this restaurant if Xiu Ying likes this place and would come again like he secretly did with the restaurant 'Quanjade' because she loves their Peking duck)

The manager took him to the second floor and when they went in, Wang Yang turned around and said

"Ms.Li Xiu Ying, my close friend (grits teeth because he can't call her his girlfriend) will be dining with me later. Treat her well or face the consequences. If you don't remember she is also the CEO of Li Empire" Wang Yang said

The manager got scared and said "y-yes sir!" and left

Afterward, a waiter came asking what would you like and Yang ordered their best white wine available

After 5 minutes, the waiter came back with the wine and a wine glass, served it to him, bowed and left Yang in the room alone

Yang then gets up, opens the wine and pour it into his glass and turns around so he faces the window and thinks about the past, especially after when they broke up

- flashback -

Younger Yang remembers every night the scene of Xiu Ying crying asking why he is breaking up with her as his heart is twisting in pain seeing her cry especially when he promised that he would never be the cause of her pain then his heart hurt even more and felt it was stabbed continuously especially when she asked him to stay away from her until they were business partners

Afterward, he booked the first ticket overseas and got into Harvard University but every night got nightmares from the last encounter with Xiu Ying, finally, years of hard work got him into Harvard Business School (isn't surprising since his IQ was very high)

All those years he made himself the best in the school in all his years just so he can take over his dad's position of the CEO of Wang Enterprise and get himself the most powerful he so he can protect Xiu Ying from everything and everyone

But every night he still gets nightmares and was really scared worrying that Xiu Ying won't get together with him again and dates someone else while he was aboard but then remembers he was the one who ended it without a reason so he will take any consequences for it as long as he can protect Xiu Ying at all cost, even if just as a friend

Love someone is not just being together and being all lovely dovey, you also must maintain a good relationship and can't let it break from little things that if you were in love and trust each other would happen. Unrequited love also happens but it is how you deal with it that shows if you truly love them. If you can't handle them being in a different relationship and stalking them or making sure they stay single, etc it is not love it is an obsession to some extent. If you can really love someone you can also let them go as long as in your heart you can love them. It's not always about being together in the end but just having pure love for your partner or the person you love and that is what Yang is learning and accepting this concept.

Afterward, when he was last year of Harvard Business School he felt his family was not powerful enough so he decided instead of taking over his father yet he was going to start his own business and merge it with the then Wang Hospitals that was reputable but not too big because they did not have enough resources to make Wang Hospitals bigger so he created Wang Enterprise and worked day and night to bring it to one of the best conglomerate companies in Asia and a very good one overseas. Afterward, his dad as a congratulations gift, he handed over his position earlier than planned to Yang

Yang spent days on end not sleeping just so he can bring his company to the biggest heights it can be. He subconsciously was so scared if he ended up with Xiu Ying again death threats will happen again that secretly opened a security agency creating the top elite bodyguards of Asia so he can protect Xiu Ying secretly if and when they would get back together and no one knows he is the CEO except the higher-ups. He could've gotten people to give him news about Xiu Ying but decide not to unless they get onto talking terms again, even when he was best friends with Yu, he never let him know about their past relationship nor they to get information on Xiu Ying.

He also during the time he was building up the company trying to find the mystery guy who was destroying him and Xiu Ying relationship but could not find much even after using the family underworld resources. The only thing he got was that most likely it was a middle-aged man, and had a grudge against the Wang family. Yes, although they have underworld connections, it wasn't as strong as it was today.

During this entire time, he never got into another relationship whether it was because it was the love he still had for Xiu Ying or the guilt or both he never got another girlfriend and whenever he climbed higher and higher, he witnesses women throwing themselves onto him for either money or his looks and each time he would remember Xiu Ying innocent face or her crying face if he gives into women because he would get drugged occasionally at parties but ended up not giving in or taking cold showers.
