How We Survived

While many people were still morning about the sudden death of their favorite artist, a man is currently having a good night sleep. In his dreams he was with his whole family eating dinner together.

"Mom you're really the best when it comes to cooking, the food in our canteen does mot taste good at all". Xiao Yang praised his mom happily.

"Really? If that's the case I will going to pack you food everyday, although it might not be as plenty as the food your canteen provides atleast you will be able to enjoy your food" Xiao Yang's mom said as she put more food to the plate of her family members.

The family continue to eat harmoniously when suddenly.... "Wake up, Wake up it's already morning, the sun is rising". Stardust voice echoed inside the bedroom which wake Xiao Yang up from his deep slumber.

Remembering his dreams he recall the moments when he was still with his family 5 years ago before he entered the showbiz world. Even though they're not rich they're still happy, they're living a simple life but they were showered with love. Thinking about those days made him smile but it also make him sad. He now realized that he badly misses those days.

"Stardust what's the latest news today?" Xiao Yang asked while he was heading to the living room.

"X.Y there has been news that you were DEAD". Stardust replied.

"What? How is that even possible when I'm here standing in front you?" Xiao Yang asked confusingly.

"It is said that your car has been hit by a ten-wheeler truck which causes it to be burnt down. Your and Lan Ling's remains were also burnt down to the extent that it was unrecognizable. Many people speculate that it was you and Lan Ling who died in the car crash and the police announces that it was confirmed to belong to both of you because of the circumstantial evidence that were gathered and your other personal belongings that were found at the scene". Stardust said as she read the news from yesterday.

Xiao Yang was dumb-founded when he heard the news, all this time when the people were mourning, he was here in his house sleeping deeply, he didn't have any clue that the world out there were in chaos. Thinking about how did it end up to be like this, he recalled what happen yesterday. While they were on their way home a man suddenly appear out of nowhere in front of their car causing his manager/ driver to immediately step on the brake. The fear that they might have hit the person, they went out of the car to check if something is wrong but suddenly the man pulled out gun from his pocket and other man came from behind was also pointing his gun towards them.

"Give me your money and cellphones otherwise I'll shoot you in the head" the man infront said while pointing the gun in their head".

Xiao Yang and Lan Ling look at each other. Although Xiao yang can fight we're still talking about the gun also they don't to cause any trouble for themselves so it's best to surrender, their safety is the most important.

"Okay, okay we're easy to talked with. Here take it, you can also have this watch of mine." Xiao Yang said calmly.

The robbers were glad that they get what they want easily. Thinking about the situation the other robber behind them got more greedy.

"Now give us your car keys, we need it to escape", he said.

Xiao Yang and Lan Ling sigh, they thought that those robbers really know how to do their job well.

"Bro just give them the keys so that we can now go home." Xiao Yang said to Lan Ling.

Following his order Lang Ling give the keys after that the two robbers immediately fled the scene.

"Looks like we run out of luck today Xiao Yang", Lan Ling said jokingly.

"Hahaha well that's how life is, I can't be that lucky everyday." Xiao Yang answered.

"You're right, good thing we're almost at house, only a few blocks away otherwise we will walk a very long way". Lan Ling answered.

When they reach Xiao Yang's house they decided to celebrate they're unexpected encounter today. They drink until midnight and because of that Lan Ling didn't went back to his house and end up sleeping in the living room that's why they don't have any idea on what's happening outside.

Unexpectedly, their unfortunate experience yesterday turns out to be their scapegoat from death. The robbers from yesterday became their lifesaver, maybe in life there is really a good and bad karma. It seems like the robbers already paid a very big price for the crime they have committed. It cost them to lose their lives, it looks like they not only stole money and things from them, they also stole their fate.

On the other hand, Lan Ling who had just woken up turned on the television and what greets him is the news about their tragic death and how the people were reacting because of this he immediately become sober.

"Xiao Yang have you heard about the news already?" Lan Ling said while walking towards Xiao Yang.

"Yes Stardust already told me". Xiao Yang replied.

"I don't know if I should be happy or not. It's great that we survived and what happened to us yesterday saves us but it already causes a huge sensation. Thinking about it, we can just appear in front of them and explain everything, I'm sure they will understand and it will surely make you a hot topic again and will improve your popularity. What do you think about it?" Lan Ling suggested, just thinking about his plan makes him happy, he thought of it as a perfect plan.

Xiao Yang on the other hand already have something on his mind that's why he said with determined look and mischievous smile "Don't worry I already have a plan in my mind."

Hearing him say that, Lan Ling can't help but worry.
