Discharge process

"Ryan, actually he might be the witness of the weird abduction happening in our city.", Crystal said after she told him everything about Elysian.

" Ok. Then we must go meet Dr. Park", Jonathan suggested.

"You three go. I've somewhere else to go. I'll catch you later.", he winked at Crystal before leaving.

" I'll go check upon Elysian.", Crystal said and stood up.

"Mam, here is the information about Elysian. Please have a look when you're free.", Chris handed her the information.

" Ok, lets get going then. Chris, there's one more thing I need Dr. park to look at.", he took out the blood stained hanky from his pocket.

"Whose blood is that?", Chris asked panicking.

" It's Elysian's blood. Come, I'll explain everything on our way.", three of them left.

Soon Crystal arrived at the hospital and saw Jennifer looking at Elysian. But she sensed someone's presence so she turned to face the person.

As soon as she saw Crystal, her posture straightened and she saluted her.

"At ease", Crystal said.

" Do you want anything mam?", Jennifer asked.

"No, thanks. Do you find something unusual?", Crystal asked looking at Elysian.

" Actually, I was thinking about the medication procedure. It's quite wierd. The patient isn't allowed to wake up. They give him injections and he sleeps the whole day. Even his pulse rate is slower than normal, and he is looking weirdly pale.", Jennifer explained.

"You are quite observant. I know it's dangerous for him here. But we are waiting for the blood test result to come.", Crystal sighed.

" I'm afraid he won't make it much longer.", Jennifer replied.

"If you want to confirm the results, then I can help if you allow.", she continued.

" It'll be so kind of you. Please...", Crystal requested.

Jennifer nodded and dialled Chris's number.

"Yes, Jennifer", he said.

" Where are you now?", she asked.

"On my way to Ji Chang's house. Why?", he replied.

" Great. Bring Ji Chang here. We can't wait for the blood test results. Elysian's condition is getting worst.", she said with a sympathetic expression.

"Okie. We'll be there soon.", he cut the call.

" What happened?", Jonathan asked.

"Elysian's condition is getting worst. We need to take Ji Chang to the hospital.", Chris replied.

Hearing this, Jonathan sped towards Ji Chang's house.

On the other hand, the two women were busy thinking of a plan to escape with Elysian without anyone knowing.

" We'll apply for a discharge. ", suddenly Crystal spoke.

" But you yourself said that applying directly for a discharge might not work. If this hospital is with the bad guys, they won't let him be discharged.", Jennifer said.

"But we have to take a chance. We can't let them do anything they want.", Crystal said furiously and stormed out of the room.

As soon as she left, Jennifer started checking his arms and legs for any possible injury. Then she found out a track mark on his right shoulder.

" I want to know about the medicines you are giving to Elysian.", Crystal demanded storming into the doctor's cabin.

"What's gotten into you, officer?", the doctor said standing.

" I just want to know and since I brought him here and I am investigating his case, I legally have the right to ask you about his medications.", Crystal said slamming her hand on the desk.

"Fine. We gave him hypertension drug to help lower his blood pressure and irregular pulse rate.", the doctor explained.

" He is unconscious since last two days. You don't even let him wake up. How can his blood pressure become high? When sleeping, a person's blood pressure is already low.", Crystal questioned her back.

"Officer, if you think yo know more than me then why don't you treat him yourself?", the doctor yelled.

" I'll. But first I want your answer. Enlighten me if I'm wrong.", Crystal said shooting a death glare.

"The increase in blood pressure might be due to other medicines we are giving him.", she said.

Just then Jennifer stepped inside the cabin.

" Doctor, will you please explain about the track mark on his arm?", she said folding her arms.

"What track mark?", the doctor's expression changed.

" You want me to tell you what track mark? Why don't you come and see for yourself?", Jennifer said.

Crystal understood what Jennifer was trying to do.

The doctor walked towards Elysian's room followed by both the women and they both stopped at the entrance but the doctor went straight to Elysian and rolled up the sleeve of his right hand upto his shoulder and examined the mark.

"Are you sure you are a doctor?", Crystal asked as she entered the room with Jennifer.

" Watch your mouth, officer.", doctor said furiously.

"I never told you about the position of track mark. Instead I told you it was on his arm. How do you know exactly where that mark is?", Jennifer stood close to the doctor.

The doctor broke out in a cold sweat. Her face became pale.

" I'll go prepare the discharge papers.", the doctor tried to escape.

"Why are you in a hurry? Stay for a while", Jennifer blocked her way.

Just then Jonathan and Chris stepped in with Ji Chang.

" What's going on?", Chris asked when he saw Jennifer arguing with the doctor.

"They aren't letting me go.", the doctor stammered.

" That's because you've done something wrong.", Crystal yelled.

"Please maintain silence, its a hospital.", Ji Chang said as he walked closer to Elysian's bed. He examined the track mark and said "This mark occurs when a person is injected or he himself injects drugs into his bloodstream.", he explained.

" I only gave him hypertension drug.", the doctor said.

Suddenly Crystal ran out of the room and everybody else was looking at each other with a confused expression.

She returned with two amber coloured glass bottles. "This is what she gave him. I saw her filling this liquid into the injections when I went to her cabin yesterday.", Crystal said.

" You can see they are the medicines I told you about.", the doctor said.

"We'll find out about that soon. Please prepare his discharge papers.", Ji Chang said and the doctor ran outside the room.

"Why didn't you two waited for us to come?", Jonathan was annoyed.

"Let's get the patient out of here first. Save that argument of yours for later.", Ji Chang said.

After they were done with the formalities, they decided to take him to Ji Chang's place and placed him inside Jonathan's car and Ji Chang accompanied them. Crystal, Jennifer and Chris went in their own respective cars.

Chris went ahead of them to prepare a room for Elysian.
