Immortal Armor

Inside the ship, Rick saw wall painted with black stains that could have been blood if it was a long time ago. The entire ship had close to no energy and was really dark inside, what was easy to solve by activating his energetic eyes that allowed him for see in the dark.

He could see dozens of destroyed drones in the ship corridors, as he approached the bridge an intact body was lying before him. A man with gray skin and long silver hair, pieces of what appeared to be armor were attached to him. In his hand, he hold tightly a thin little crystal that attracted Rick's attention.

"He does look like a human if you don't look at his grey skin and silver hair. Is he dead?" Rick extended his arm to touch the body, and the later suddenly turned into dust at the moment he tried to touch it leaving only the crystal behind. Like he was being attracted by something, he quickly grabbed the crystal.

[Boy, no!] His "divine self" tried to warn him, but it was too late. Rick's mind drifted into a different space, identical to the spaceship he was in, yet a lot newer.

"So, the crystal when I put the last strings of my soul has finally been found." The image of the grey-skinned man appeared and he stood just before Rick, staring at him with a deep gaze.

"I must me quick, there is not enough time to explain it for you. I'm Thomas Faraday, one of the humans that escaped earth a thousand years ago. We've been living in a safe colony in a nearby planet, but our colony was attacked by something we could not detect. It was too sudden." The man talked about how they lost their planet without even realizing and his tone was full of grievance.

"I and a few ran back to earth, but one of them managed to give me a fatal injury I died on the way back." The man spoke of his death without much thought and he scratched his head.

"How many years ago? The damages made to the ship are pretty old." Rick reminded himself of the old stains of blood on the ship and marks that have been made at least a hundred years ago.

"It is about a hundred and fifty years. Since then, no one has been able to enter the ship. I guess its outer shell is too hard even for the strongest of your people. You are the first to reach this far and this is why I want to ask for your help."

Hearing the man's sad voice Rick nodded with his head, "Let me hear what you want first before deciding if I should accept or not."

"I guess it is fair." The man showed a smile. "I may have died, but my daughter is still alive. The armor we wore turn us into immortals, no matter how many years we won't age. She must be inside your stasis capsule, unconscious as he ship is stuck is the orbit of the planet, slowly falling. I don't know when or how, I just wish you could help her if you met her. It can take hundreds of years until her ship falls so if you can make sure one of your descendants rescue her I will be glad."

"I think I understand now." Rick knelt and swore. "I swear by the my name, no matter if it is me or a descendant of mine. Your daughter will be found."

"Good, good." Tears welled in his eyes. "I can see you are a good kid, if we're in my daughter's ship you can take the regeneration medicine there. It can give you your arm back. As for myself let me give you a gift for accepting this old man's last wish."

A silver bracelet appeared above his hand, shining with a brilliant light. Staring at the bracelet, the man spoke. "This is the reason for the rise of my colony and their demise. What you see in my hand is the Immortal Armor, one of the few left.I hope you won't need to use it because when it is worn, you won't age anymore and your power will rise immensely."

Rick felt really excited when he heard the description, but the next words were a bucket of cold water on his head. "But, when you put on the armor, it will merge with you. You won't be able to have children or take it off for eternity and the moment the armor is broke or you try to take her out, you will die just like me when my armor was broken. I will give the choice for you."

"I believe the second gift is something which will make a bigger difference." The man showed a silver gun endowed with golden lines. "This is the Lightning Hand Blaster, a handgun made by the Skyline Foundation one and a half thousand years ago. It shoots pure and lightning at others, and there is three different settings you should know of before start using it. The settings are Kilo, Mega and Giga, from weakest to strongest. In the past, this weapon didn't go well because of the amount of energy it used which was too much. However a weapon like this is perfect for you, somebody brimming with lightning and thunder."
