Blood-Element Arts

When Nerys returned, she was carrying several books on her bosom. These books weren't that old, but he could see that every single one were techniques and arts for elemental masters.

"It's not safe to use anything like our Obelisk devices, so we've prepared a few physical copies. Take a look." Under her subtle movements, all the elemental art manuals fell on top of a table in perfect order.

"Art of Elemental Blessing, Water-elemental Seven Great Arts, Book of Life, Water-Earth Fusion Manual, Animate Water Objects."

Every single one of those books contained water-element arts that were all earth potential arts with power grade from initial to the peak novice level.

"What do you think, it is enough?" Nerys sat on the couch as she watched Thor reading the books one by one. Each page had instructions about the way water-element arts work, the first one he tried to understand was that Animate Water Objects, it was a book about an elemental master who lost both his arms in battle.

However, using his Elemental King power, he designed an elemental art that could freely animate the objects he made with his water element. At the peak, this art can provide instructions to a water creation and apply them under several different ways, functioning in a similar way to programming in a device like the obelisk.

Unlike the others, this was the only one that didn't seem to be particular of the water element. From the tip of his hand, he formed a bloody red copy of himself, and then pressed his finger on the small doll's little head before uttering a few words that both Nerys and her daughter couldn't understand.

When it was done, he put that little copy of himself on the table and the latter immediately moved, his legs raised and that small figure burst with immense speed towards the other border of the table, he jumped and unleashed several dozen moves towards the air.

The moves didn't carry any power, but his smooth and fluid movements carried an intense charm. It was the same fighting method that Thor learned in Asgard, a divine martial art.

The Divine Martial Arts can't be seen by mortals and its movements would resemble like several random attacks from those who can't deeper in it, but in fact it is extremely effective against any type of creature because of its unpredictable and dominating way of fighting.

Later he tried several other arts and to his discovery, there were a few that he could indeed use. Most were just the most basic arts in each book, but with a few changes he could adapt these elemental arts to his own blood element.

...

Thor's POV:

Three days later.

For the past three days, I was getting used to these elemental arts by helping the civilians in the ship. The amount of people that needed treatment every day wasn't small, and because Nerys found it would be too hard to send anyone else to help Liam, she had me train here so I could help him myself.

On the third day, I was already able to adapt some of the most basic ones into my own healing-type elemental art, and one completely dependent on the blood element.

"Blood-element art, Blood Transfusion." Uttering a few words, my right hand shone with a bright crimson light before it turned completely blood red, then I pressed my palm on the large fissure on his chest. Under my crimson light, all scars and injuries would swiftly vanish, and in less than a minute the arm, which he did lose started to grow at slow speed.

My first healing elemental art is the Blood Transfusion Art, using the vitality in my blood to help others, I could repair both internal and external injuries, though It would still consume a lot of energy each time it's used.

During this period of time, Nerys also told him of the events that took place since his disappearance. That after I, Roderick went missing, Eden had been moved to the extreme north of the planet and not too far from a beast kingdom ruled by a massive Iceland Bear, a saint beast. To their luck, this bear was heavily sick, and the city gave him the necessary medicine in exchange for keeping the secret of their location.

It was exactly one year after that day that a shock wave hit the whole island, turning off any sort of electrical device in the area. An enormous shadow rose from the ground and roared to the sky before smashing apart the Guardian's HQ, soon eleven rays of light emerged from the underground and battled that shadow.

Nerys seemed really scared when images of that battle flashed in her mind as she described what happened. From that day on, the entire island seemed to have changed, it was what she told me. Seventeen years later, Nerys was away on a mission with others and when they were heading back, eleven pillars of light surged in the city moments before an explosion.

Nerys didn't say anything afterwards, but I could guess what happened from the look in her eyes. I stared at the young Niel, thinking Nerys must have lost somebody really important to her on that explosion.

I just finished the treatment of the thirty percent when I returned back to reality and noticed an elegant woman in a military outfit watching him from afar.

She gave a nod. "Really good, I was a bit skeptical at first when I heard about your blood element, but I see its healing abilities are exceptional. Liam doesn't have much time, so I think you are more than ready to go help him."

Nerys knew that Liam was within the Espar Kingdom's territory and the former was sure that I had more than enough power to heal him.

It was already time to return.
