Armor In The Altar

A lonely moon hung in the pitch black night sky as its faint light illuminated the vast island bellow. There, Eleven human shadows moved through the empty and silent island where once was the city of Eden.

"Brother Sky, are you sure she's still here? We've been looking for decades, but that crazy bitch broke my arm. I'm not letting her get away with it!" A woman with only one of her arms intact cursed out loud as she waved her hand, causing seas of yellow flames to emerge and extinguish all the buildings next to her.

"Shut up!" A male hand held her by the shoulders. "We are all brothers and sisters, our brother may have betrayed us and forgotten why we fought for, but we still need his daughter to complete the ritual."

"He's right Star, we need the girl to help us unlock the power of that thing. When we do that, this world will have no way to escape our control. Star, Flame, Wood, Space and Time, go look for the girl in the beast countries, we have no reason to act weak before those mindless beasts from now on." Sky, the leader of the 12 Primal Children and the only one with power over three elements gave the orders before leaving the island and returning to the underground, in the lowest floor, there was a secret door other than the one leading to the temple.

Within there was a hundred meter tall humanoid armor with a dark platinum shine and a aura that could bring the skies down.

By its side, countless human bodies could be seen scattered around the altar where the armor stood, absorbing the blood from the numerous bodies.

"Good. The preparations are nearly complete, in the next few weeks I shall become a true god. The only problem is that boy, is the world he came from still out there?" At this moment, Sky sighed to himself. He was still thinking about that person, living with the human scientists since he was born, he had more knowledge of science and the history of humanity many times more than the manufactured truth they taught the kids born in Eden.

The silhouette of a young, but strong willed man appeared in his mind. This boy isn't from the same world as him, he may have concealed it well, but there is no real the fact that multiple realities existed won't be enough of a surprise to him.

"However, none of that matters anymore because soon I will have the power to judge this entire world."

.....

At the same time in the abandoned headquarters of the church of the beast gods, a few dozen people gathered around a round wooden table.

The woman in the middle had long black hair filled with the aura of darkness and a pair of bright green eyes.

Other than her, there was only six males and more five females, all which were members of the guardians or other important faction of Eden, the Former Fiery-eyed Chevalier was still in the same clothes as before as he stood in the room with the others.

"Cassius, what did you found about the movement detected back in Eden's ruins?" The lady turned to the a middle-aged man and asked.

"Bad, Sky and the others are searching for you at this exact moment. The clues we got from Nerys didn't seem to point out the reason behind why they need you. Fortunately, none of the eleven seem to have become an elemental god or we would have been done by now."

"I See..." The lady in black, Artemis, didn't seem too surprised about the news. Sky and his people were the oldest human saints that ever existed, they were behind the foundation of Eden and its people using what was left of the research of elemental powers to manipulate their society for generations.

Even since Roderick vanished that day she didn't tell anyone about her real name, the one Roderick gave her because she decided to keep it as something between the two of them until the day he returned, yet as the decades passed, she was not as confident as before.

After they continued the meeting for another half a hour, it was finally brought to a an end and the officers belonging to the Divine Guardians and the other forces all withdrew from the room leaving only Artemis and Cassius behind.

The former shot him a glare as if asking what did he kept from the others, but the latter only header to the door to lock it before returning.

"There is one more thing." He said while staring his current chief, thinking if he should say it or not before clenching his teeth. "Nerys seems to have come in contact with a young man who claims to be the Son of Jupiter."

"What!?" Artemis nearly fell off her seat as she kept silent to her what he has to say.

"A young boy, approximately 14 to 15 years. Long blood red hair and a pair of crimson eyes, attending by the name of Thor. The boy didn't seem to know what was happening in the world, like somebody out of his time. But she also took time to take a sample of his DNA and found out something."

Following that, he took a few documents Nerys sent to him, and showed to Artemis, who took it in her hands and read it a few times before her arms dropped.

"Really?"

"Yes, the boy doesn't have a DNA, but his blood when tested had a 100% compatibility when compared to Roderick Graham's blood in our database. To be sure he's neither human or beast, but another type of life form, instead of a human we believe his entire body is made of blood just like..."

"The creature from that day!" Artemis screamed.

"Yes." Cassius agreed. "The boy really did seem to want us to believe he's not Roderick, but all the test we made only confirmed they this new boy that appeared over there isn't Roderick's son, but it is undeniable his connection to Roderick himself."

"Ohh..." The eyes of the leader of the guardians lit up. Yet, she still thought to herself. "The only thing I don't understand is why did he didn't seem to have thought much about his actions. The Roderick I know would know about the existence of these kind of tests so I am not sure if it is him, or..." She suddenly stopped, her mind seemed to have recalled the letter her left her and her eyes slowly widened.

'Thor! How could I forget that! It's him!' To Artemis who didn't have to change to lead a ordinary childhood like Roderick or spend time with her family, Roderick was the only person she felt comfortable with. After many years, she was stuck in her job having to fight both humans and beasts because of Sky and his people, now she's only a middle-aged woman, not that Roderick was much younger.

'So he really is a god like he told me.' After reading the letter, she still didn't totally believed what was written there because the truth he told her really was too much. Being from a world within the stars and his life as the God of Thunder, wasn't it the same as saying he was a Alien God?!

Knowing the closest person to her, her big brother was in reality a alien was really more than she could understand. Now, at least she felt exited because it meant he didn't die that day.
