Rainbow Demon

Asdrerd was high in the sky, and he was letting more and more colors come out of his body, making them float around him. Asdrerd's eyes kept changing between red and purple and rainbow smoke came out of his mouth.

Everyone present could feel a threatening presence from Asdrerd. Mysha and Number 6 did not understand what was going on and found Asdrerd very frightening.

Xott, who had read a part of Asdrerd's memories, had understood the reason for his fury but could not do anything about it.

As the crew thought about what might have happened, another being been frightened by the situation.

'What's going on?' The bird thought worried.

'How he discovered me?' The bird that had dropped the feather began to suspect that she had been discovered, but not being sure, she decided to calm down.

'No, this is impossible! Not even the master has ever been able to discover me." Thinking about this, she found the confidence she had at the beginning.

'He must have some grudge against the birds; I just need to be in a group!' The bird knew that the flock had divided into several groups, and after having talked with the other birds, she decided to follow those who were flying in the direction towards more favorable.

Every meter closest to Sabaody was one meter closer to her mission.

As she was thinking, she felt a dark presence behind them. She turned and saw a being covered entirely in colors; he no longer seemed even human.

"What bad luck! Did he follow this group?" After the initial fright and doubt, the bird did not believe she had really been discovered, therefore she believed that everything had happened randomly.

Seeing this, the bird completely separated from the group and decided to travel alone. By doing so, she could have traveled much faster.

Once separated, she began to fly at her full strength. All she wanted to do was to part with that demon.

15 seconds passed, and no longer feeling the dark presence and no longer seeing Asdrerd nearby, the bird felt safe.

'Nice, now I have to go back to the master and warn him! Who would have imagined that Spered and the Color Criminal were the same person?"

The bird was happy; she had finished her mission in a few days and could not wait to be praised by her master.

As she was thinking about her dialogue with her master, she felt tremendous pain in her left-wing.

'What happened?' She asked herself. The bird had a hole with blood gushing in her left-wing, and she felt tremendous pain.

She could no longer even fly decently, she could hardly stay in the air thanks to her right-wing and her will, but she was slowly losing altitude and speed.

The bird looked back and saw a purple arrow pointing towards her.

She could not avoid it… it was too late now.

'No! If I have to die, I want to do it without pain!"

She did not want to experience that tremendous pain she had experienced in her wing again, so she decided to stop slamming her right-wing, thus falling into the sea.

Once she hit the surface of the sea, she began to think about how she was caught up in this situation.

An elderly man and a young girl were touring the museum to see the works of what is considered the best painter in the world.

The man was covered with a gray coat and a hat of the same color as if he didn't want to be recognized by the public.

The girl was thin and of medium height. Her hair was short and brown. She was dressed in a suit that men usually wear, but which gives that extra charm if worn on a career woman, that is, with a suit with tie and long pants, all in light black.

"Would these be the best painting in the world? He's a cheap painter!" The man complained aloud.

"What do you think about it?" The man turned to the girl and asked for her opinion.

"Master, your works are much better!" The girl immediately agreed.

According to her, the title of the best painter in the world belonged to her teacher. She did not despise Spered's works; on the contrary, she was very impressed since the author was younger than she was. However, each painting by the young man represented a truly existing place, while her teacher mainly painted historical facts, which she preferred.

Since Spered appeared, her master has lost a lot of popularity and many requests for portraits of nobles or famous people. It was as if the only painter in the world was Spered, there was no room for the second or third best. When it came to art, only Spered was named.

Once the tour was over, the two left the museum, and the man turned to the girl.

"My dear student, could you go spy on Spered?"

"Of course master! Objective?" The girl asked.

"I'm sure he used a few tricks to draw. You must discover some scandal or some weak point of him." The man replied.

"Scandal?" The girl asked in confusion.

"See, people don't need much to stop appreciating someone. Your power is perfect for spying, I am sure I will be satisfied with your work... as always." The man smiled at her pupil and praised her.

"Okay, master!" Happy to feel praised and appreciated by her teacher, the girl joyfully accepted this mission.

"In the meantime, I will circulate some false rumors about him."

"False information?" The girl would not have hesitated to create a scandal on Spered if she had discovered real things about him, but she was not very happy to create scandals based on false information.

"As I said before, people just need to know some negative side of a person to stop following them. It does not matter whether true or false news, someone will believe it. Besides, there will surely be others who will take advantage of these rumors for their benefit."

The man explained, thinking that her pupil had not understood the power of false accusations.

"The painters will come together to create more and more false stories about him..." The girl was not stupid, she knew what her teacher wanted to do, but she did not approve of it. She wanted her master to defeat Spered with paintings and not with these tricks, but she would do her duty and say nothing of these thoughts.

"Yes, but not only. Some journalists looking to make money or success, other museum entrepreneurs who have lost millions of customers. Alternatively, simply those who quarreled with Spered. In short, a voice that can easily be mistaken for true is the worst weapon for a famous person, "said the man before putting his hand on her pupil's shoulder and ordering at her to start looking for Spered.

The girl said goodbye and left.

The man looked at the sky smiling and declared, "Spered! It does not matter how much you are rich, strong, or famous. All this will backfire on you!"

---

After a few hours, the girl had obtained the information she sought. She did not know where he could find him, but she had more or less understood in which area to look for him.

"The fastest way to find him is from the sky. Therefore, I have to wait for some flying animals to pass." She said to herself, heading towards the port.

Once she arrived, she hid in the alleys and began to look at the sky, waiting for an animal to her liking.

Different types of birds passed by, but the girl always stood watching the surroundings.

After several hours, the girl managed to turn into a hawk and began her journey in search of Spered.

The girl was confident that she could successfully spy on Spered thanks to her power. She was not leaving any evidence of her transformation, even her clothes. The clothes were transformed with her, and once she returned to normal she would still have her original clothes.

In addition, she was identical to the hawk she had just seen; she had nothing different.

This is also why she was surprised when she saw Asdrerd follow her and hit her with an arrow.

During her transformation, she was the copied animal. She behaved like the animal, ate what the animal would eat, spoke the language of that animal, which she would lose once the transformation was finished.

---

As she was thinking about this, she continued to sink. Once the bird was immersed well in the water, the transformation ended and returned to being a girl.

The girl had less and less strength, she was losing consciousness, and in the last moments, she was thinking of all the paintings she had painted.

'Ah, I wanted to be born with artistic talent and be recognized for my paintings...'

As she was about to close her eyes, there was a sound of something falling into the water.
