Why can't you be more talkative?

Averill stopped using his aura only after that the metal scraps had left the surrounding area. And he then glanced at the girl on the couch, she had now almost fully healed and there were almost no wounds left on her body.

'System, tell me one thing; how is she my so-called fated person?' From all the point views Averill could think of, this girl was of no use to him.

[I am unable to answer Host's question, because even I don't know the answer that Host has asked. To give Host a more detailed version of how I guessed her to be Host's fated person is because her Soul had a reaction when I sensed over her body. Through the brief moment after I got free from the shackles, I searched the entire Universe with the help of Host's Soul.] The System replied and gave a better explanation afterwards without waiting.

But the System refrained from telling Averill one thing as it deemed not worth saying; that a passing Soul has entered Averill's Domain by itself. The System had already concluded that the passing Soul is weak and it could have only entered the Domain with the assent of Averill, and from what the System could tell, the passing Soul should be of someone that knew Averill in his life before death.

Yet even whilst the System found it unneeded, it did mention it. [Host, someone has entered your Domain. Does Host want to check it out now or later?]

"Later." Averill replied without wasting another moment, for now everything else could wait; because he still hasn't found out the truth of what it means to be his 'fated' person. And there was one more thing he wanted to do before he deemed this universe as worthless.

Averill stood by the couch and gazed at the girl who had her eyes closed. "Open your eyes, why do you even bother trying to act like you are sleeping?" Averill couldn't help but to mock her whilst showing a disdainful expression. "Besides, I have a question that you will have to answer right now. What is your real name? I don't get why people in this world loves to hide their real names by creating or having nicknames; truly worthless in my opinion."

It was rather confusing for Averill why he hated nicknames this much, but he wouldn't change his opinion of doing things unless it might be harmful for himself in the future.

Even if it might not look like it, Averill was quite good to control his emotions, if he wished to remove or add something, he could do it without any troubles. But there was one tendency that Averill couldn't exactly change or control that well, and this tendency shows forth when his mind turns blank from all clear thoughts; to be more specific it was during the times he would be acting like a maniac… His playful expression slowly twisted into a dangerous expression and his smile turned brighter by the second which allowed most of his teeth to show.

X-23 could feel the change in the air around the man in front of her, most of the times he would have a playful air around himself, but right now there was a dangerous feeling covering around him. If she had to put it into words, it was like flames were surrounding him and if you tried to touch him in any ways you would get burnt into crisp… "Laura… Laura Kinney." Even thought her voice was weak, she didn't show any weakness in front of this man, only the fearless would stay alive!

Averill's thoughts became clear once again after hearing her name, his expression turned into his normal usual one where he had his weird smile and sharp glint in his eyes. "I am Averill Kaiser. You will stay by my side till I find some answers. If you try to escape, I will rip you into dozens of pieces." Even whilst saying those kind of words, Averill's voice was soothing, almost like a mother trying to appease her baby.

Now the known girl; Laura Kinney, she couldn't help but be in a panic, her thoughts went crazy for a small moment. But even so, she calmly stood up and stood in front of the man who she now knew his name as; Averill Kaiser. "Why do I need to run? But let me say one thing, I will not go down without a fight…!" Laura stared fiercely into his red eyes; she wasn't afraid of a fight even if she knew that it would end up in her death. Laura only cared about one thing, not going back to the laboratory that she had been imprisoned in since her birth.

"AHAHAHAHA!" Averill began laughing loudly as he gazed at the so-called fearless girl in front of him. She truly didn't show any kind of physical expression of being afraid of him, yet Averill could sense it, fear was reeking out of her!

Averill stepped forward, going closer towards Laura who still kept her ground seemingly fearlessly.

The two of them were now face to face, Averill was showing an amused expression whereas Laura showed a stoic expression, the two of them were staring into each other's eyes. One pair of eyes were purely amused whereas the other pair was showing hints of dread.

Seconds passed by quickly, the two of them were silently gazing at the other one as thoughts passed through their minds. None of them backed down, none of them showed any signs of retreating, none of them showed any sign of fear. It was only after half a minute that Averill spoke out and broke the silence in the room.

"You're decent, much better than others I've seen in this world. I will keep my eyes on you, Laura, show me the reasons why you are the one." Averill's soothing voice sounded out calmly through the entire room, and as he spoke, he showed a more natural smile and showed an expression of pure curiosity and fascination.
