"Do you know the reason behind such a devastating strength behind a physical attack?"

"Isn't it his physique which is way beyond my level?"

"Even if his physique is above yours, it still doesn't explain why he was able to injure you so severely. A simple physical attack would never be able to injure you so well. The main reason is the two inborn capabilities he was born with."

"His battle instincts help him in finding loopholes, while his reaction time helps in stacking his attacks."

"You are saying he attacked me more than once in such a small instance. I couldn't even feel another blow."

"That is a miracle. His reaction time is so small that his multiple consecutive attacks seemingly feel like a single one. An even scarier fact is his capability to grow these two abilities."

"You mean he could shorten his reaction time even more?"

"He could easily do that. That is the reason he has never lost a match. You need to be careful about the training regime you have designed for her. If Nathan is serious about training her, you need to provide support in the physical sector."

"So you are asking me to back off."

"No. I am asking you to train her mental energy. If she truly wants to train under me, she needs to up her game. I am not going to train newbies like her."

"She is a potential SS-Rank hunter or higher. That should be enough certification.

"Even if that is the case, I will not agree. She needs to do the impossible to arouse my interest. help her achieve that."

Huntress remained silent after hearing it. She was feeling frustrated from the result of her clash. Now the dean of the academy has taken her job of training Mia away because of Nathan.

"If you want to play hardball, so be it. I will train this girl so well that she will crush Nathan completely and blow your brains out."

She was determined to train Mia in both the physical and mental energy sectors. She went on to inspect the results of the test and found that the injury to her abdomen and underbelly was quite severe.

"That bastard made sure not to pull his punches."

She then withdrew various potions from the college inventory and ingested them directly into Mia's body. The Heaven Dragon institute was the relocation where most of the rookie awakeners were trained.

S- Lakers and above have a special training facility to accommodate the large-scale destruction that their powers bring. A regular set of potions were continuously being supplemented for all the S-rankers to help in their development.

Mia was an exclusive SS-ranked potential hunter, and hence her privileges and benefits were way above the others. The potions were so high in grade that she was visibly starting to get better and soon opened her eyes.

There were mixed feelings present in them. She was disappointed with her performance against Nathan.

"You shouldn't be disappointed. You managed to stay alive after taking the hit of one of the top 3 hunters in the country. That is a proud moment."

Mia didn't reply.

"If you do feel disappointed in your strength, you need to listen to what I have to say. I am thinking about a new training regime for you. I promise it won't negatively affect your growth. You will achieve all your goals, and maybe even outperform your expectations. Are you interested?"

Mia immediately turned to look at the Huntress. Her eyes were filled with anticipation on what the Huntress was going to say next.

"Since our next date with Nathan is in a month, we will be making a trip to a special location."

"Where is it exactly?"

"This is the base that your mom and I specially created as a hideout and training center. There is a special provision in that location that could drastically stimulate your growth. Are you interested?"

"How long will it take me to surpass Nathan?" Mia asked with a determined face.

Huntress suddenly burst into laughter, followed by a prolonged chuckle.

"You remain amusing with words. Surpass that bastard. You and I will be concentrating on becoming able to take his punches and remain unharmed. That is the very first objective."

"As for surpassing that monster. Once you can do that, you will get to experience a taste of his actual power. I just hope you aren't thrown into despair. due to it."

Mia was amazed by Huntress's evaluation of Nathan. She truly wanted to teach the guy a lesson, but the only way to do so was with strength.

"I will go." Huntress smiled upon getting Mia's approval. She had a lot of things to plan, so she left the room, leaving Mia to herself.

Chang's house-

David had just returned from a merciless beating at the hands of Mr. Han. He had been getting crueler with his treatment. He was aggressively increasing his training sets, and David had less and less time to rest and get his head straight.

The time of his awakening ceremony drew nearer, the training grew in intensity. David could feel his physique growing and something within him trying to burst open. It was as if he had a slumbering power within himself.

Mr. Han was trying to awaken that power.

Frequent tests were being conducted on David to understand the physiology. The scientist who was in charge still claimed that David's body was completely useless when it came to energy processing and hence his scope of becoming a hunter was not great.

"When is the awakening ceremony?"

"A month from now."

"We could just hope for the best. Let's hope your theory proves to be right and the slumbering entity will awaken during the ceremony. if not, we will be receiving another useless hunter." The scientist said to Mr. Han before leaving the room.

Mr. Han stayed and looked at the unconscious David with pity. His promise to his friend was getting bleaker by the minute.
