THE WEAK GETS DEVOURED

"I have another gift for you too. I just found out who should be your trainer for body type power." Huntress spoke to Mia.

"Who is it?" Mia knew that Huntress's expectations were extremely high when it came to her. Her guidelines for a trainer would be similarly high. Just who managed to pass her test.

Huntress simply smiled at raised her hands towards a nearby door. When Mia looked at it, a figure emerged. It was none other than Nathan.

"He is my coach." Mia was shocked. It was none other than the guild master of Kaiser who arrived here.

"Nathan is the only recorded hunter who managed to reach level 8 with that suit. He is the best candidate to train you." Mia looked at Nathan with surprise. So this guy was one of the powerful body hunters, even more powerful than her mother and huntress.

Kaiser's guild master was said to be a very powerful figure. His powers were unknown since none of his enemies remain alive after a confrontation to report it. But it was a sure fact that he was at least a dual-energy type.

"So one of your energy types is the body," Mia asked Nathan. But to her surprise, the Huntress burst into loud laughter. Mia was uncertain of the reason behind her laughter, but she was soon met with a huge shock.

"I am multiple energy types like you. But body energy is not one of them." Nathan spoke up. Mia's world just turned upside down. Nathan wasn't even a body-type hunter, and yet he had managed to surpass both Huntress and her mom.

"This is the reason I wanted him to be your teacher. Even without being a body-type hunter, he was able to achieve level 8. A record which has lasted till date. If he can achieve level 8, why can't you, whose energy signature is the body, achieve the highest mark?" Huntress commented.

"Your parents were the ones who helped train me, especially your mother. She made me the base subject upon which the body armor you are wearing at the moment was built. I would like to see what her daughter is capable of." Nathan didn't waste any time and directly disappeared from his spot, appearing right in front of Mia.

He then lifted his hand and punched her directly within the gut. Mia's whole vision went black as her body blasted into the nearby wall. Nathan simply stood there cleaning his hands with a towel.

"So weak." Nathan looked at Mia with a disgusted look. Huntress was shocked ta Nathan's actions. She had decided to bring him in due to his intimate relationship with the Chang couple, but this turned into a bad scene right before the training even began.

She rushed toward Mia to check on her, and when she found that she was badly injured, her expression took a bad turn.

"How dare you?" Huntress shouted with anger and attacked Nathan. To her surprise though, Nathan replied with an even fiercer punch which shot the huntress directly to the other side of the room. Huntress was still conscious, but she was spouting out huge amounts of blood.

"You were once my teacher, and hence I will show mercy for your actions just now. Try this again, and I will show you what true despair is."

He raised his hands as a small ball of light emerged. It was filled with sparks of golden lightning. He directly threw it at Mia, and when the ball hit her, a huge wave o0f electricity rushed through her body, jolting it awake. Mia immediately spouted a huge amount of blood and fell on her knees.

"You are weak. Just like your dead parents. I truly pity your family. A weak couple gives rise to an even weaker set of children. The talented one is even more pitiful, much less the waste. I am truly feeling sad for David. He might have been able to utilize the strength which you stole from him."

Mia's eyes went wide when she heard Nathan. She had been blaming herself for the matter for a long time, and Nathan's words triggered a powerful reaction within her brain. Her eyes went red as she began gritting her teeth and rushed towards Nathan at full speed. Nathan didn't even move and directly bashed her with another punch, which once again sent her flying.

Huntress didn't dare involve in the matter. She knew that Nathan was serious with his last warning. H wouldn't show her mercy if she dared to attack again. She just hoped Mia would be alright after their confrontation.

Mia didn't lose her consciousness this time and continued her barrage of attacks. She continuously blasted punches at Nathan, but he didn't move from his location. It was as if a man was playing with a small girl. The process continued, until Nathan stopped using one of his hands completely, and yawned while looking at Mia.

He then deflected her attack, while giving her a slight push upwards, which separated them by some distance. In the mere seconds of their separation, he turned his body and kicked Mia directly in the face. A crack was heard, which signified, her skull cracking from the impact as he lost consciousness once more and was blasted away.

Her body lay still at one of the ends of the room. Huntress looked shocked at Nathan's fatal strike and rushed at Mia. Hse diagnosed her and gave Nathan a glaring look.

"Your look is meaningless, as long as you are so weak. I can crush either of you like ants, and all you could give me is that pathetic look of yours. Tell the girl, I will visit once again at the end of the month. I hope she wouldn't have wasted my time by then." Nathan turned and began to leave the room.

Just as he was at the entrance, he turned around and said to Huntress. " Take her to the infirmary and have some high-ranking healers heal her. She might die of brain damage or cardiac arrest." He was left with a cruel smile on his face." My last words for the end of the session are: "The weak always get devoured, just like her parents." Be sure to tell her that."

Huntress rushed Mia to a nearby infirmary, where doctors were surprised to see the best candidate of the year lying in a near-death condition. They immediately began the healing procedure.

"Who attacked her?" The doctor asked.

"It's none of your concern," Huntress told him.

"I would like to know about the perpetrator too." It was a middle-aged man this time. The doctor immediately rose from his chair to greet the old man.

It's not every day that I see the Dean of Heaven-Dragon institute come to the infirmary. Do you have any work here?" Huntress asked.

I would like to know who hurt the star pupil of my institute. I would like to teach them a lesson." The dean spoke.

"It was Nathan. Would you like me to inform him that you will be visiting to teach him a lesson?" Huntress said. She knew how powerful the dean was. But Nathan was no joke. There was a reason Nathan managed to sit on the throne of Kaiser unrivaled. His power was too immense.

"I see. Heal her. I will be leaving to talk with Nathan. I do need an answer for this incident."

"If you want to do something for her, why not take her as your student? She desires to learn the way of mental energy from you." It turned out that the dean was the hunter the two of them had been talking about all this time.

"She still doesn't qualify. I guess Nathan agreed to teach her because of his relationship with the Chang couples. But I am different. If she wants to become my disciple, she needs to prove her strength. Let her concentrate on body energy for now. Which path did she take?"

"She chose the full-body strengthening."

"Just like Nathan then. I guess she has hit the jackpot this time. I hope she can surpass the strongest hunter of our country." The middle-aged man spoke with a self-mocking laugh.

"Is he that strong?" Huntress commented. She knew Nathan attacked her with pure physical strength and managed to injure her so badly. Yet she couldn't believe he was the strongest person in the country."

"There are many secrets you aren't aware of. Things will reveal themselves with time."
