Value of Food

Lou's day from being a special inspector is pretty fun.

Not only can he eat free at every store and stall he sees, he also has the privilege of roaming around the Tootsuki Academy.

"Hey, Lou."

"What's the matter, Alice?"

"This is your last day here right?" Alice asked.

"That's right, if everything is done as scheduled today, i will go back home this evening," Lou replied.

"Mao~ then I will never get 10 stars from you?"

"You still can, if you can make better food or improve the dish you just made yesterday."

Actually, Alice's cooking style is so unique that even Lou is having a hard time doing it.

Molecular Gastronomy

Alice specializes in molecular gastronomy, the culinary branch of science that investigates physical and chemical changes that occur during the cooking process. This cooking style also focuses on the three pillars of artistic, social, and technical aspects to form this style of cooking, making it more of a scientific cooking style.

Alice is well-equipped thanks to her Nakiri family ties, having some of the latest equipment. Her skill in this field shone from a young age as she was recognized at the age of 9 as one of the top molecular gastronomy experts in the world.

But improving her dish is not an easy task, after all, she is using Molecular Gastronomy where everything is mathematically arranged and there's only a point of error on every dish.

So if Alice wants to get a full star from Lou, she better prepare a better one than improving sometime that is not even a machine cant improve.

"Well never mind, let's eat, by the way, did you visit Erina's hall?" Alice asked.

".... I forgot."

Erina's place she chooses is in the Uptown Area, a pretty good place for her unique cooking style.

"This place is really different in comparison to the other area," Lou said.

"Of course, different places, different demographics."

"Most everyone here is rich enough to stay on the campus or at the Tootsuki Resort, with that kind of customer base, most booths at the slopes tend to offer full-course meal~"

"Then the meal here is super expensive?"

"Of course, by the way, why do yo uneven think about the price if you eat freely?"

"You're right."

"Let's go, lets surprise Erina~"

Alice then pulled Lou to a specific place where a server was waiting in front of the door.

"Welcome, the theme of tonight's meal is Full Moon Banquet ."

"Nine dishes will be presented for you to enjoy, by the way, Sir, Madam, do you have any reservations?" The server asked.

"Tell Erina that Lou is going to eat here today."

"A-Are you perhaps Lou-sama?"

"Yes." Lou replied.

"Here please, Erina-sama already designated a palace for your arrival."

When Lou and Alice arrive, it seems something strange is happening, a man full of malice is standing giving a stupid speech to everyone.

"True Gourmet Food, it greatly resembles excellent painting, sculptures and music."

"The true worth of all first-rate art can only be understood by those who gave a certain quality of character, artistic sense, and a proper education."

"The rest of the people can only be grateful for what the upper classes have defined as valuable and fatherly without fully understanding it."

"True Gourmet Food is just like that, only a few select people should share its true worth because that's the only thing that should be called ''Cuisine".''

"Everything else isn't "Cuisine" its "''Fodder".''

While the man seems passionate about giving a speech to everyone, Lou, who doesn't even bother looking at him, asks the waiter.

"So where is our site?"

"This way, Sir."

Lou walks calmly in front of everyone passing the man who finally stops after noticing his presence and sits where Erina is reserved for him.

"H-Hey-" Alice tries to stop Lou but it's already late, Lou already standing ignorant of the man.

"Mr. I don't care what you are trying to tell everyone but…. I feel you don't have the proper education at all just like what you said."

"Why so? "The man asked.

"Lou-" Erina tries to pill Lou but she is scared to move.

"If you really educate a person, you will not stop everyone eating, that's bad manners, that's a minus point."

Lou then looked at Erian and said," Go, prepare something for me, if it's not delicious I will give you one star."

"T-This."

"Hisako."

"Yes, Lou-sama." Hisako moves and pulls Erian inside of the kitchen while Lou walks on his reserve seat.

"And also, Mr. You can't compare Art to Food because these two are two different things, Art is to appreciate while Food is meant to eat."

"And if every single person needs quality of character, artistic sense, and a proper education to eat real food, then I can tell you seriously that you also don't deserve to eat her food because you're lacking something."

"Who are you kid?" The man coldly asked.

"Can't you see? I'm a consumer." Lou said while looking at him like watching a clown.

"... WOOOOW!!" The whole dining area detonates, finally, someone who is smart enough, and brave enough to fight the scary man.
