Chapter 19 — Xiao Yi's Story

The whole class F-1 went to a fancy restaurant to celebrate their victory.

Teacher Lin was the one that will pay all bill! (Nice)

Inside the restaurant, Yu Long, Fatty, and Xiao Yi were currently together in one table.

Fancy looking foods were placed on the their table.

Yu Long peeked toward Xiao Yi who was silently looking toward him, "Is there something on my face?"

"No," Xiao Yi blinked her eyes cutely as she said that.

"Okay.." Yu Long smiled wryly.

He didn't know what to say to Xiao Yi.

"This bitch! She is clearly being weird around master!" Luna shouted furiously.

"Luna, language," Yu Long scolded Luna inside his head.

"Sorry.. Master," Luna dropped her head as she apologized.

"It's okay," Yu Long smiled as he said that.

"Hehe, okay master," Luna said happily.

"The battle earlier was so easy, right?" Fatty mockingly said as he ate some noodles.

Then after eating the noodles, Fatty face turned dark.

"This noodles is so soggy.. The taste of the soup is also not balanced..." He closed his eyes as he said that.

Then he opened his eyes as he slammed his palm at the wooden table.

Baam!

"I wish to see the manager!" Fatty shouted angrily.

As a food lover and a cook, he can't accept a fancy restaurant serving this kind of food.

The people eating inside the restaurant quickly turned toward Fatty with curiosity.

"Oy, don't cause trouble," Yu Long said as he quickly held Fatty down.

"But-!" Fatty did not managed to continue as Yu Long covered his mouth.

"Sorry," Yu Long apologized toward the people inside.

Fatty then soon calmed down and he stopped eating the food on the table.

"This restaurant sucks! The food doesn't taste good!" Fatty grumbled.

"You're right, but don't cause trouble," Yu Long said toward Fatty with his piercing eyes.

Yu Long then looked toward Xiao Yi who was next to him, eating her own food silently

He pondered why Xiao Yi act so weird to him.

But Fatty mistaken Yu Long's gaze toward Xiao Yi.

Fatty made a sly smile as he rub his elbow against Yu Long and said, "Hoho, our Yu Long here is a quiet playboy, huh? Luna and now Xiao Yi?"

Fatty shook his head as he chuckled, but he froze as he felt Yu Long's sharp gaze.

"Ah! I was just joking! A joke!" Fatty laughed fakely as he said that.

Yu Long sighed tiredly and then said toward Xiao Yi, "Xiao Yi, didn't you said my smell felt familiar?"

Xiao Yi stopped eating after she heard Yu Long question. She looked at him and nodded.

"Why is my smell familiar?" Yu Long asked curiously.

Xiao Yi looked hesitant at first, but she spoke in the end, "You're scent is familiar to my now dead master..."

Xiao Yi eyes reddened as tears slowly fell into the floor.

She remembered something she didn't want to.

"...!" Yu Long widened his eyes in shock seeing Xiao Yi suddenly crying.

'Maybe I shouldn't have asked..'

Yu Long quickly turned to Fatty for help.

"What should I do!?" Yu Long asked.

"I don't know!" Fatty also panicked seeing Xiao Yi cry.

"How about you Luna!?" Yu Long asked toward Luna who might know the way to comfort Xiao Yi.

"I don't know.. but try patting her head! When Master pat my head, I always become happy!"

"What..?" Yu Long was speechless hearing that.

Will that even work to Xiao Yi?

Yu Long gritted his teeth and decided to try that method.

'Fine, I'll do it! It's not like I have any other options and I was also the one that made her cry!'

Yu Long extended his hand toward Xiao Yi's head.

Pat!

Pat!

Yu Long lightly patted Xiao Yi's head and felt her smooth hair through his palm.

'Hmm.. this feeling is not bad..' Yu Long inwardly thought.

Fatty seeing Yu Long patting Xiao Yi was filled with respect and amazement.

Yu Long decided to not pay any attention to the people who were watching him patting Xiao To.

While he was patting her, Yu Long looked at Xiao Yi's face.

"Now that I think about it, she is pretty and cute," Yu Long said, but then his face reddened.

'Oof'

He somehow said his thought aloud.

Then he saw Xiao Yi face reddened slightly, She slowly stopped crying as she felt Yu Long's warm hand.

She meekly looked at Yu Long face.

'Oh! I didn't know she can be embarrass..' Yu Long was surprised.

He remembered Xiao Yi staring at him without any embarrassment and even smelling him without any care.

Xiao Yi held Yu Long's hand and felt it slightly resembled her master warm hands.

She brought Yu Long's hand to her cheeks and fell on Yu Long's lap.

"What-?" Yu Long widened his eyes in shock as he looked at Xiao Yi who suddenly fell asleep on his lap.

Then he saw a cute smile was on her face.

Shaking his head, Yu Long decided to carry Xiao Yi to her dorm after asking Teacher Lin where her dorm was.

And of course he did not take advantage of Xiao Yi.

Xiao Yi dreamed of her past.

The dark sky was covered in a dense black cloud and was raining heavily.

Xiao Yi remembered her master face.

Her master was a beautiful woman with oval-shaped face, a short black hair and an pair of sparkling blue eyes.

Her master was even more beautiful than a god.

The woman or Xiao Yi's master took and take cared of Xiao Yi who was left all alone on the streets when she was three years old.

She was the young Xiao Yi who had lost her will to live.

Her master appeared and hug her gently while saying, 'How could someone leave a cute girl behind on the street.'

That was the first time in Xiao Yi's life to be called as cute and pretty. Not the Devil's daughter, Bastard daughter, or Trash.

Tears flowed on her cheeks that day.

Her master took her away from the street and gave her a home, delicious food, and a comfy bed.

Her master showered her with love and care.

Her master taught her how to read and write words carefully.

Her master trained her to use a spear to protect herself.

Her master praised her everytime she did a good job.

When she thought her life was free from the endless suffering, her master suddenly died on her bed.

Her master face was colored in black and she didn't know what was it.

Her master face showed a deep regret and she didn't know what was it.

Xiao Yi then realized she hasn't known anything about her master.

She then cried by her master side for the entire night.

When she woke up, her master lifeless body dissapeard without any trace.

She once again didn't know.

She lose her will to live after her master death, but she the remembered her master last word to her.

That word was what made her live till now.

Soon everything went bright. Xiao Yi slowly opened her eyes.

She sat up from the bed she was sleeping, and touch her cheeks.

It was tears.

Then she suddenly remembered what happened before she fell asleep.

Remembering all of that made Xiao Yi's blushed slightly.

Xiao Yi stood up from her bed and changed into a new uniform.

She didn't want to hole up inside her dorm anymore.

She wanted to stay near the boy with the same scent as her master.

She might be able to sleep more comfortable now...
