Chapter 52 — Crimson Thorns Combination.
After he made a breakthrough, Yu Long invited Xiao Yi to the spirit arena to earn points in order to raise their rank to silver.
The two of them soon arrived at the entrance of the spirit arena and quickly went to the Dual Team registration office.
They handed over their badge to the staff member of the spirit arena.
"We would like to participate in a duo match."
"The registration fee are five spirit gold coins and a proper name for your combination," The staff member replied curtly.
Yu Long didn't mind about the fee since he was rich. He could also earn it back if he win the match.
After thinking for a suitable name for a minute, Yu Long finally made up his mind
"We will go with the Crimson Thorns Combination."
This name wasn't really that special since Yu Long only thought about it based on his and Xiao Yi's crimson eyes.
"The registration has been completed," The staff member handed back their badge to them.
Yu Long could now see a crimson thorns design on the edge of the two badges.
"Please arrange an opponent for us too."
The staff member nodded his head, "We will arrange your match soon. Please wait on the lounge until then."
Yu Long and Xiao Yi then went toward the lounge and waited patiently.
Thankfully, many people were going in the spirit arena to fight and earn some money, so they were quickly able to have someone to battle.
"Now, ladies and gentlemen! On our seventh match, we have the Crimson Thorn Combination against the Tiger and Bunny Combination!" The host announced loudly toward the audience.
Yu Long And Xiao Yi walked toward the arena stage while wearing two red mask with thorns around it.
After arriving on the stage, they saw a man and a woman standing infront of them. Although they didn't know their spirit souls, It seems like it would be somewhat related to a tiger and bunny.
The tiger man looked toward Yu Long and Xiao Yi's direction and snorted deeply.
His opponents this time looked quite weak, too young and inexperienced.
"You kids dare to battle against us? Scram quickly and go back to sucking your mother's breast milk, or else you will experience hell."
Xiao Yi felt angry at the man's remarks, but Yu Long told her to calm down.
"You think you can hurt us?" He merely gave the tiger man a faint look, a formless and heavy pressure spreading throughout the stage.
The tiger man felt he was about to fall to his knees, as he felt a huge mountain descending upon him.
"You can barely stand infront of me, yet you dare to speak so arrogantly?" Yu Long snickered, "It's fine to be arrogant but when you don't have the strength, you're just biting off more than you can chew."
The tiger man became enraged after hearing those words. "Brat, what did you say!? Today, I will fucking teach you the most painful lesson you'll ever receive!"

Yu Long had activated his star Intuition, causing the world before his eyes to become silent and coming into a stillness.
He didn't wanted to use any spirit abilities or spirit bones abilities for this battle. He wanted to only use his physical strength and spear technique.
Xiao Yi summoned her
"Now, behold! My Grand Transformation!" The tiger man said and released his spirit.

His body started to release many popping sounds as his body started to grow larger, causing his shirt to explode into pieces, revealing his bulging muscles.
Flame-like furs then covered his whole body and a sharp talon-like claws to grow out from his fingers.
Three spirit rings hovered behind him and a proud, arrogant smile was hanging on his face.
His partner also called out her spirit, causing her to grow a bunny tail, large pair of ears and soft white furs on her thighs.
She also have three rings behind her.
"Let's go Xiao Yi!" Yu Long said, gripping tightly into his spear.
Xiao Yi nodded her head, and they quickly dashed toward their enemy.
"Fools, I will make you two feel the feeling of being roasted alive!" The man cackled loudly.
He then looked toward his partner, a nasty grin blooming on both of their face. They dashed towards Yu Long's direction.
The two of them have been friends since kids, so their coordination with each other was perfect.

The tiger man placed his burly hands on the ground firmly, he then started to charge forward like a bull that was covered in hot flames that seems to be capable of melting everything.

The bunny woman jumped toward the sky using the tiger man as her stepping stone.
She then started to fall towards Yu Long with her legs dropping at him.
"Take this! Our combine attack!" The tiger man said, his speed becoming more faster.
Yu Long saw the tiger man charging infront of him and the woman attacking from the sky in slow-motion.
After the bunny woman approached near his range, he quickly grabbed her foot and threw her harshly at Xiao Yi with a swift motion.
He signaled Xiao Yi to take care of the woman and quickly focused on the tiger man again.
Yu Long took a step forward, causing the ground to tremble, his spear was piercing toward the charging tiger man.

The man was suddenly covered in an orange barrier and he unhesitantly charged toward the spear thrust.
He was confident that his shield could block it...

...But unlike what he had imagined in his mind, the spear easily pierced through his shield, quickly stabbing deeply into his flesh.
He looked at the spear stabbing into his body and started to wonder why he wasn't able to block it.
Yu Long quickly knew what was the tiger man thinking based on his confused expression.
"Why you ask? It's because you're simply too weak," He said, taking the spearhead out of the tiger man's body.
He stabbed it into the ground and started to crack his fist.
Yu Long then abruptly pounded his fist at the tiger man's face in a lightning speed.
"Now, where's all of your arrogance now?" He asked loudly, before punching the man to his guts.
Cough!
The man coughed silently, as blood began to drip out from his mouth. His eyes were trembling while staring into Yu Long's cold eyes.
Yu Long pounded his fist toward the man's face hardly for the last time and quickly kicked him out of the stadium.
He didn't wanted to waste anymore of his time with that bastard...
Yu Long then looked at Xiao Yi, who managed to defeat the bunny woman easily.
"I-It was a satisfying game! Congratulations for the Crimson Thorns for winning the game! They now have a record of one win and zero lose! Please come to the registration office to claim your rewards," The host announced after waking up from his shock.
Yu Long and Xiao Yi then left the stage and claimed their ten spirit gold coins reward.
They soon applied for another match at the registration office and then applied for another match again after winning.
And just like that, one month had passed. The Crimson Thorn and The Five Otherworldly Team's names were now infamous for their absolute strength and became known as the undefeated team.
They were also gonna have their final match against the Emperor Team soon.
If they win against the Emperor Team, they would finally advance into silver rank or maybe even gold...
