Chapter 53
Chapter 53 — Against Emperor Team.
The Five Otherworldly Team were constantly participating in the spirit arena during these one month, making their names well known and respected.
Yu Long had advanced to the peak of rank 38 and Xiao Yi and the others being at rank 33 currently.
After participating in many matches, their over-all battle experience, usages of their spirit ring ability and teamwork had improved significantly.
A few days earlier, Lou Shi had told her five students to meet with her.
She told them they were gonna fight against the Emperor Team in order to successfully increase their rank to silver or even gold for Yu Long.
The only thing different this time was that 5 vs 7 wasn't allowed. The officials of the spirit arena felt Lou Shi's action of threatening them before, shaken their ruling authority over the spirit arena.
This time they didn't back down against her threat and strictly abide to their own rules. If Lou Shi still continued to threaten them, they would get banned from entering any spirit arena.
Lou Shi could only agreed and had to hire two canon fodders to act as the remaining two members.
The two canon fodder members were basically the tiger man and bunny woman from before.
"Ladies and Gentlemen! In today's match we have the Seven Otherworldly Team against the Emperor Team!" The host announced loudly.
The spectator began to cheer loudly after hearing those words.
The Seven Otherworldly Team slowly walked toward the extremely large stage and faced their opponents—The emperor team.
"Let's have a good match," Yu Tianheng lowly said while staring into Yu Long's eyes.
A mighty aura belonging to those legendary dragon began to spread out from him.
"Likewise," Yu Long responded while smiling thinly.
A heavy and domineering lion might clashed against Yu Tianheng's own dragon might.
An intense and powerful wind spread throughout the stage, causing both of the captain's hair to move wildly.
Yu Long looked at the tiger man and bunny man. The two immediately understood what this look meant and hurriedly went out of the stage.
They were only here to fill the last two spot and could leave at anytime.
Yu Tianheng didn't know why the two went out of the stage, but he couldn't afford to underestimated them.
A blue lightning symbol flashed across Yu Tianheng's forehead. The sleeves covering his right arm exploded into ashes as blue bulky scales covered his entire arm that transformed into a claw.
A green diamond-shaped symbol flashed across Yu Long's forehead. A black wooden tree hovered on his left arm and quickly turned into a wooden spear.
Xiao Yi, Fang Lin, Ji Yu, and Hu Yu also summoned their spirit souls with the emperor team doing the same thing.
The host looked between the two teams and couldn't help but feel nervous and excited at the same time.
"Begin!" The host announced loudly
After hearing those words, Yu Long quickly charged forward to the emperors team first.
The Shi Brothers immediately blocked Yu Long's path with their large and tortoise shell body.
A fire symbol appeared on Yu Long's right eye, he felt a hot stream of energy strengthening his body.
Yu Long thrusted his spear toward the Shi Brothers, causing the air to become heavy.
The Shi Brother's large tortoise shell released a brown light as they entered inside it.
Boom!
Yu Long's spear struct the hard shell, causing small cracks to spread on it, but his spear was stopped.
He then heard the loud crackling sound of lightning entering his ears. He looked above and saw Yu Tianheng appearing behind the Shi Brother's.

Yu Tianheng's claw struct downward at Yu Long who could dodge it easily, but a golden shield blocked the claw instead.
Yu Long saw Yu Tianheng revealing many openings and he didn't let this opportunity to slipped by.
He slashed his spear toward Yu Tianheng who quickly blocked it with his dragonized right arm, but he underestimated Yu Long's physical strength.
A deep and very grave wound appeared on his dragonized right arm and the Shi Brothers had no choice but to quickly saved him.
Yu Long then saw Yu Tianheng being healed by their support system master and saw a thin poisonous fog spreading throughout the arena.

He then decided to use his third spirit ring ability even though he planned on only using his physical power.
<3rd Spirit Ring: Idun's Garden>
A gigantic black tree grew out from the ground, overlooking the entire world. Thick roots and vines started to cover the ground.
After this spirit ability became supressed by Lou Shi, he managed to learn on how to not seperate himself from the world.
The gigantic black tree then started to absorb the poisonous fog, causing it to dispersed.
Dugu Yan was angry at this fact and could only provide some buff to his teammates for now.
The battle soon started to shift and get divided.
Yu Long was playing against Yu Tianheng and Xiao Yi was fighting against the Shi Brothers.
Fang Lin was providing cover to Ji Yu and Hu Yu as they fought against Osler and Yu Feng.
They were all able to work and help each other seamlessly because of Hu Yu's mind thread link.
Xiao Yi couldn't approach the emperor's team support system master who was constantly providing heal and Dugu Yan who was giving buff because the Shi Brother's were throughly defending them.
<2nd Spirit Ring ability: Star Dragon Fang>
Xiao Yi was covered in crimson dragonic armor as she continuesly attacked the Shi Brother's hiding inside their tortoise shell.
She was trying to think of a way in order to pierce their defense.
The Shi Brother's were quickly exhausting their spirit power, they constantly used their spirit rings abilities in order to defend themselves from Xiao Yi.
As she was attacking the Shi Brother's, Xiao Yi saw a deep cracks on their tortoise shell and had an idea.
A crimson dragon covered her red spear that quickly flew toward the Shi Brother's. The ground started to show cracks as the crimson dragon pierced toward the Shi Brother's.
The Shi Brother's entered inside their shell and it glowed extremely brightly.
They knew they couldn't block this attack and had to counterattack now!
Their tortoise shell exploded into many small pieces and the countless sharp small pieces started to flew toward Xiao Yi quickly.
Thud!
Thud!
The crimson dragon destroyed many of the pieces but some still got through it, stabbing deeply into Xiao Yi's crimson plate armor.
Her crimson armor started to get filled with those sharp shell pieces, but she continued to move her spear forward.
Boom!
The colossal crimson dragon crashed against the Shi Brother's, causing them to get sent flying outside the stage.
Xiao Yi panted heavily and looked around the stage.
After the Shi brother's were now eliminated from the stage, Ling Ling and Dugu Yan were left defenseless.
Yu Long dashed toward Dugu Yan in an instant and chopped the back of her neck, causing her to lose consiousness.
He then approached Ling ling who was sitting on the floor. She had a very graceful figure with a beautiful silk-like violet hair and eyes.
LingLing didn't fight nor moved from her spot. She just stared at him with an expressionless face.
Yu Long held her body with his arms and smiled, "Sorry, but I'm gonna make you unconscious because your healing power is too strong."
Lingling looked at Yu Long's charming smile, her expressionless face showing some changes.
She felt her heart fluttering quickly for some reason.
Yu Long then softly tapped her forehead, causing her to lose consiousness. He had sent a sliver of his star spiritual power into her mind.
He then looked behind him and saw Yu Tianheng with a very worn-out and messy look.
"Really stubborn, aren't you?" Yu Long said while taking spear again.
"I only desire for victory," Yu Tianheng declared loudly, his dragonized right arm growing more bigger and the claws becoming more sharper.
A large amount of blue lightning converged into his right arm, turning into a very large and sharp lightning claw.
"Well, I guess you need to learn that being victorious is not as important than your own life," Yu Long replied as he took his stance.
A bright crimson silver light gathered into his nature spear, his black hair rising up into the air.
He appeared infront of Yu Tianheng in a flash, his own eyes peering deeply into his opponents pair of eyes.
Swisshhh!
Yu Long's spear brushed across the side of Yu Tianheng's face, an extremely powerful gale overwhelmed his body.
Yu Tianheng dropped to the ground and his eyes trembling in fear.
In that short moment, he briefly saw Death.
"I concede..." Yu Tianheng finally admitted his lose.
Yu Long nodded his head and looked around the arena stage.
He saw Fang Lin, Hu Yu and Ji Yu managing to defeat the extremely fast Osler and the flying bird Yu Feng who was by the way a girl.
They had use Ji Yu's wind eagle to constantly harass the flying Yu Feng and Hu Yu binding her like a caged bird with her mind threads. She then proceeded to use her spirit fire thread to attack her mind.
Fang Lin's job was to receive all of their attack and restrain Osler who was good at running away.
Ji Yu's golem and Hu Yu's mental attacks then finished Osler.
With everyone on the emperor team surrendering, the otherworldly team finally won the match.

The Shrek Seven Devil's were watching the whole fight on the spectator seat.
"I can't believe their captain got so much strong in such a short time and he wasn't definitely using all of his full power, only using his physical strength and few spirit abilities," Tang San muttered in disbelief.
If someone was to compare Yu Long and him, Tang San would just say he's the mountain gazing upon the unreachable sky and that unreachable sky was Yu Long.
"It's not only him that got stronger! Every single one of them had made improved tremendously," Oscar said with his face being grim.
"They're truly people that don't belong to this world... Lou Shi, just what kind of monsters did you teach..." Yu Xiaogang muttered in admiration and at the same time felt envious of their talent.
