Tutelage

Lin Fan shook his head with contempt as he pulled out a rule book and opened up to to the pages on the blacksmith competition. He immediately pointed to the twenty-ninth rule on the last page which stated that power crystals were allowed to be added ten minutes after the competition timer ended.

Ind Quin shook his head and scoffed before a fire burst out of his eyes and lit Lin Fan's rule book in flames. He turned to look at the judges as Lin Fan smiled and returned to adding the power crystals to his new Metal Throne.

The Metal Throne was supposed to be like the Blood Throne in that it could get stronger and provide weapons to Lin Fan when he requested them as well as summons, techniques, as well as assist his strength by providing him with a rich reserve of metal energy. The Metal Throne had a spiritual network that was connected to four chips that were implanted in the pieces of Eight Vein Metal after he turned it into Heaven's Grade Metal. The spiritual chips in turn provided the functions of the Metal Throne and would slowly cause it to become almost living, which would make it eventually be able to become a sentient treasure.

Sentient treasures could eventually ascend from the Heaven's Chest List and make there way into becoming God Treasures, however, not all God Tier Treasures had to be sentient. The main reason Lin Fan wanted his Metal Throne to be sentient was because it meant he could have a treasure without having to compromise with powerful people. Most God Tier Treasures were owned by powerful individuals such as blacksmiths, Emperor's, and governments that used them to control the will of their people. Lin Fan didn't want to get pinned down, and choose to make his eventual God Tier Treasure, so no one could say he owed them anything!

The only problem was that he wasn't sure if his experiment worked... There was only a 100 heavenly chest treasures for a reason, and that was because of the skill it took to require making one! The fact that Lin Fan had the audacity to even make such a high caliber treasure angered many of the Empyreans. Why? Because he chose to make such a high quality treasure with such bad ingredients! It was like taking a girl out for a date at the cheapest restaurant, and then taking her home and expecting something good to happen!

"Are... Are you going to allow him to bend the rules, Han Zhou..." Ind Quin finally couldn't take it as Lin Fan carefully put in the power crystals like he was afraid of an explosion... "I was just looking at the rule book, and the last rule states that all rules are subject to modification by the overseer..."

"What do you say Han Zhou? I think my two daughters wouldn't like it if you didn't let him finish..." Gin Ran gave a rather clear expression that stated don't change the rules... "However, if you do want to make it harder for Lin Fan to win the next two rounds, I don't mind..."

"Father! Did you eat too much of my food!" Yan Ran said as she grabbed his leg and squeezed it so hard that her face turned red... "You... you must not eat too much of my food on an empty stomach! Please... please... please don't make it harder for Lin Fan to get to my bed room..."

"I just want to see his potential unleashed... As a fellow ten star blacksmith, I don't want to see him stunted by such lacking competition..." Gin Ran was upset that Ind Quin clearly lost, and knew that he stood no chance against Lin Fan without an adjustment of the rules. After hearing his daughters talk about him going to their beds, a defensive side of him naturally came out. "I'd like for him to try and tackle these two blacksmith designs..."

"One of them is a blueprint for an eighth grade treasure called the [Burning Fire Armor] and the last one is called the [Lightning Horn Badge] a high difficulty eighth grade treasure. They are something I make all my students create before they get accepted into my blacksmith shop..."

"Are you saying father-in-law, if I make this... you'll let me into your shop to have fun with your two daughters..." Lin Fan smiled and offered out his hand to the two blueprints flying towrards him... "I promise to work really hard to have a good time with your daughters! Is there any private rooms in your shop!"

"You... you don't just get my daughters because I let you be my student!" Gin Ran slammed his hand into his leg and looked at Lin Fan's incredulous smile as he opened up the blueprints. "Plus, just to make it clear, you need to become a demi-god to come to Sacred Light City... My daughters are secondary... Besides, there is no private rooms only rooms to torture students..."

"Well, then... I will try my hardest not to disappoint you father... However, what language is this in? How am I supposed to use this blueprint if I don't speak Empyrean..."

Lin Fan and Gin Ran explained a gaze of understanding as he sighed and nodded his head. He immediately understood he had to figure it out without asking his daughters or it wouldn't be a real challenge. However, without telling Gin Ran, his system automatically translated the names to what they were called on the East Continent. He immediately acted upset, but was smiling on the inside as he looked at the blueprints...

"I... I want those designs too!" Ind Quin said as he offered out his hand... "Also, you still haven't declared who won Han Zhou... This little dumb Empyrean wannabe over here, or me? Remember I have the higher grade metal, the better tools, and the better product! I'm surprised Lin Fan has the shame to try and beat me..."

"You... you still are a hundred years too early, and a thousand times too cautious..." Gin Ran shook his head as Yan Ran smiled and gently toucher her head down on his shoulder. "You decided to use the Blue Monarch Butterfly knife to beat Lin Fan? Really? Even I could've made that as a five star blacksmith!"

"Gin Ran... You... You are really saying this to me?" Ind Quin's eye brows trembled as he lowered his head... "All those years working hard to get into your blacksmith shop, and you give it away to some dunce who likes girls... I... I don't even know if Lin Fan will be alive tomorrow after Boris Lang crushes his skull..."

"My father would never lose to that dunce, you reject!" Mimi Fan screamed as she floated into the air... "I kicked that little dumb prince of yours butt, and he'll kick your supposed monster's ass too!"

"Enough!" Han Zhou said as he cautiously turned to his side and lowered his head to Gin Ran... "Lin Fan wins this round... However, because of the delay it seems the Undying Night Secondary Team has already gotten on the stage... Hurry up and get your team ready Lin Fan..."
