Lightning Horn Badge

Lin Fan looked at Han Zhou as he held up his hands and walked away from the Lightning Horn Badge. He'd just finished enough of the Lightning Horn Badge that he should've easily quenched first place.

The judges were already about to rule the competition in Lin Fan's favor as Ind Quin had failed to make seventh grade metal. This meant that Lin Fan won immediately, and that the [Lightning Horn Badge] was just the icing on the cake. Han Zhou, however, shook his head as the judges tried to write Lin Fan's name in first place. He seemed to be boiling with an all consuming rage as he ground his hand into a ball and pulled out the rule book.

He turned to the last page of the book in a section under miscellaneous that Lin Fan hadn't bothered to read, and began reading a few extra rules about the blacksmith tournament...

"You... you lost the last round to the Metal Monarch Butterfly Sword, and because of that Ind Quin can still use that sword one more time to get points in this round..."

"Here... Do you want to look at the rule book? I'm sure you've read through most of the pages, however, there are somethings only the moderators get to see in the rule book..."

"Han Zhou... This idiot beat me fair and square... You don't need to try and help me..." Ind Quin said as he walked over and stood in front of Lin Fan. "I finally feel like I'm beginning to see a path forward past the eighth rank as a blacksmith... I don't need to cheat..."

"You really are crossing the line Han Zhou..." Gin Ran said as he crossed his arms and caused the rule book to float towards him. "This tournament follows the rules from the Battle Arena Network... You don't want your viewers getting mad do you in all the world of Horizon?"

"I'm pretty certain Lin Fan is the only one who has to be scared... Gin Ran... I know we see eye to eye on how much wrong it is from Lin Fan to have a system to learn talents... I'm just making sure your sweet daughters don't get corrupt by his intolerant behavior..."

"If you want to have a problem with me, fine... However, as soon as you bring up my two beauties you're asking for it..." Lin Fan said as he cracked his knuckles... "How about to get the Night Queens, since I already won the auction competition, you fight me? If you win, I don't get the Night Queens. However, if I win, you're working on my farm..."

"A farm? You really think you can beat me..." Han Zhou smiled and pat Lin Fan on the back before he looked at Gin Ran and smirked. "I'd do anything to help Gin Ran keep this monster away from his daughters! Do you agree to stay one more day to watch us fight Gin Ran?"

"Kick his ass Chicken Man! Just get rid of his head so he can't be so annoying!" Mimi Fan screamed as the Empyreans in the crowds for once nodded their heads. They also couldn't believe that he was getting in the way of Lin Fan's success.

Lin Fan was from a second rate work in the Horizon network of planets and even with the system was well behind in the treasures he received from birth. Ind Quin had a silver spoon in his mouth since he was little and access to countless pills, ointments, and lessons to strengthen his physique as well as mind.

He didn't have the main thing that Lin Fan had though, and that was a history that made him driven towards the heavens. He was beginning to get it because Lin Fan was helping supply him with fuel. It would cause him major backlash if Lin Fan didn't beat him fair and square.

"I... I accept the challenge for Lin Fan... However, I'd like to add something to the bet... If Lin Fan beats you, then the High Elves had to join with the humans in the war... Do you dare make that promise?"

Han Zhou immediately began to quiver before he abruptly nodded his head. There was no way in hell Lin Fan was going to beat him, and he could already see his impending doom!

"I think... I think after you die nothing will be left to remember you by but the beauty you contaminated... Gin Ran... Thank you for doing me this favor..."

"Just be happy I don't give Lin Fan anymore help... However, I still think Lin Fan won this round..." Gin Ran sighed as he looked down at the [Lightning Horn Badge] that was just a few hammer strokes from finishing. Some blacksmiths had an overwhelming drive to make something completely flawless the first time they made something. If only he just struck it one more time, the lightning that formed in the black puffy clouds above would've struck and sent Han Zhou into a deep depression.

"Very well... Let's fight after I have a few more sessions with your sister..." Lin Fan smiled and held up his thumb... "Sorry you couldn't come over last night because a few of your friends had to be killed. However, I promise, when you're working in my farm, you won't miss them..."

"Dead... Your loss..." Han Zhou smiled and flew away as the judges abruptly got his meaning and declared that Ind Quin got 2 points in the round while Lin Fan only got one.

Lin Fan now almost had no way to win the competition unless he made a perfection halo eighth grade treasure in the final round. This was only compounded by the fact that he needed to make the [Blazing Fire Armor].

Lin Fan tossed back his hammer onto the [Lightning Horn Badge] and caused a bolt of six colored lightning to hit it before a burst of energy spread rapidly through the stadium. Dozens of people covered their eyes as Gin Ran smiled and pat Lin Fan on the back...

"You... you better be nice to my daughters when you get to their bedroom okay... I don't want to have to kill someone with so much dedication... One out of two treasures have been completed!"

"Thank you father-in-law... However, have you seen Mimi Fan? She was there just a second ago..."
