The next few weeks seemed to drag on. I spent most my time making things to bring to the market and hanging out with Emily and Lucas. It was warming up and time for our spring festivities. We would go out and pick flowers during the day and make a few flower crowns and things to wear as the sun set. This was a big time for my people. We soaked crushed up flowers for their color and added water to creat a dye for our makeup and art work. While the men were out getting wood and hunting. Others were preparing foods from the fruits that were collected and starting to create seasoning for the meat from spices and herbs.

This was a bright festival like celebration. We would paint ourselves with dye and wear brighter colored dresses. Then the left over dies would thrown into the fire which allowed a color change. This would be the first of the celebration we had welcoming spring. Once breeding season started we would have to move and since the leaders of the tribes who were following the herd and were near us had all been in contact all of the heads and their men and women would be coming tonight

We finished up the rest of the things we would bring to the market place.

We would meet new people soon. We had also heard that the head ladies cousins tribe would be celebrating with us once we got to the breeding grounds.

They had there own traditions but we're going to celebrate with ours this year since Max would be marrying one if there tribe higher up ladies. We were going to have a few days and nights full of celebrations.

Tonight was our first concern though. I used pink, read, and orange die for my makeup. I also put flowers in my hair, I was testing out what I would want to do so I would already know when we celebrated with the hybrid tribe. The colors went on and around our eyes. I put the orange on my eye and lid then put the pink above it and the red above the pink and under my eyes, I blended it all together perfectly. I outline my lips with the pink and filled in the rest with red and blended it as I went. The outline of my lips were just a little lighter then the inside after I was finished. The dress I was going to wear main color was white. It didn't have regular selves instead it was a tank top and it had red and pinks on the top skirt which was open in the front to reveal the white underskirt. I also had a red shawl that I then put over my shoulders and arms. I wove a few long small strands of red and pink fabric into the two brads in my hair. Then I put on my flow from I had made. It was filled with red and oranges and pinks and greens from the different leaves.

The celebration went perfectly we ate and danced to music around the color changing fire. Lucas and Emily were ate my side the entire time. Emily was in a light blue which made her blue eyes stand out. Guys don't dress up for the celebration unlike the women they wear white or grey. Lucas was in white and everyone realized we matched perfectly together. His red hair and white outfit match perfectly with my reds and pinks and the white in my dress.

One of the other leaders from one of the tribes who were visiting commented on how good we looked together as couple.

Lucas and me were perfect together. We had worked together for a long time now and are a great team. We know almost everything there is to know about each other and we both are fond of one another.

That's more than a lot of other people, I mean after there are a lot of people like Max and whoever his wife is. They haven't ever meant each other and won't meet each other u til they are already wed. They don't know anything about the other person and will have to get to know each other as they go. I'm aware I would be lucky to marry Lucas since we do have such a strong relationship with one another already. I'm just not sure that it would truly be what I want. We are good as friends. We have flirted from time to time, but I'm not sure that we would be good as anything other than friends due to me being a hybrid and not knowing if I truly love him or if I just see him as a sibling. That's what was going through my head the rest of the night that I stayed out. I was happy to return to the hut to rest. We would most likely head out tomorrow as that is normally when the herd starts to move, since the frosts have now stopped and the hunting party confirmed they were more restless than normal. It all confirms that they will start to migrate soon and they will meet up to form one big herd soon to go to there breeding ground. Which means soon we will have another celebration and I will have to decide if I am going to settle to agree to marry Lucas or if I look to find someone new.

I know it will best to just agree to marry Lucas, but I can't help but feel it might not be right. I also know I won't be able to noticeably be searching for a different man to marry. I have to make sure I don't do it openly and I keep it to myself unless I do find one. It'll be hard since I have to marry a hybrid if I'm going to be looking for someone different and someone who's low enough in the tribe that he can leave without being missed, but is also high enough that he knows how to lead, and someone doesn't have anything that would be holding from moving tribes.
