Lucifer Decides

As soon as we get back into the compound I see Lucy's car out front. My heart sinks as I think that he could also order my mother to death just for showing up when she was banished. His name is Lucifer fitting since he seems to be the one who decides who lives and dies. He is a younger vampire at only 600 years old. He is only 6'2" with Blue eyes, blonde hair a square jaw, and a slender but muscular frame. Despite his name is very kind.

"Good afternoon Lucy," I say as I walk into the house. I make note of the broken window and table.

"Hey, Nyx. Long time no see. Hope you are happy you found Xander." He says. His thick Spanish accent makes him stand out here in Oklahoma.

"Long time no see Lucifer." My mother says as she reaches for his hand.

He takes it and kisses her fingers. His blue eyes dance as he looks at her. Almost as if he is flirting with her.

"Good to see you, Tatiana. Before I see Marcus I have to wait for the other elders. Do you mind if we all three talk first?" he ask her.

"That sounds great." she sounds a bit nervous as she responds.

I decide to just follow him and not speak. I feel my father's mind link I tell him I am home but Lucy wants to speak to me. He tells me how proud of me he was for holding my temper. I tell him to fuck off and close the link so he gets out of my head. I hate it when he tries to read me.

We walk into the kitchen and have a seat at the kitchen table.

"Tatiana, Did you get permission to be here today?" Lucy ask.

She pulls out a paper with Marcus' signature on it. "Yes, I had planned on doing this for a few weeks. I had no idea Xander would be here," she says.

He looks at the paper and seems to determine it is authentic. "Since you went through the proper channels and from what I can gather you have made amends with Nyx, I lift your banishment and will allow you back into the community. You will no longer need Eddie to help you get blood. I can say I am also impressed that in every location you have lived in you have reached out to the local Primus to make sure it is okay for you to be there. But, if you step out of line again I will not be so kind. Do you understand?" He says his eyes almost changing red.

"Yes, sir I will. Thank you so much. Now if you don't mind I would like to go to my hotel and see my husband." She says standing to leave. Lucy nods and I hug her before she leaves. She walks out and I turn to Lucy.

"Why did you do that?" I ask in shock.

"Because although she was banished she followed all the rules still. Besides her anger at you for a time she did nothing else wrong," he explains.

I nod and start towards the living room to find Xander when several of the other elders walk in. I start to sense unease in the pack. They are not used to so many vampires around. I decide to go to calm them when my father and Xander walk down the stairs.

My heartbeat starts to speed up at the sight of him. I start to feel warm in places I have never felt before. Especially when his hair is all messed up. He must have been the one to break the window.

"Nyx, I need you and Xander to go calm the pack down. Xander I understand if you do not want to but Lucy as already said you gave your statement to him so you can go." my father explains.

"I wouldn't mind at all sir," Xander says as he shakes a few of the Elders's hands. I have never met any of them so I am unsure of who they are.

Xander puts his hand on the small of my back and leads me out the door. I mind link the entire pack and telling them to meet me in the woods behind the compound. We like to meet there so the humans do not get startled when we all come together.

Once everyone is gathered I introduce Xander as my mate.

"Are you moving away?" Anna a young red-headed werewolf ask. She just recently had her first shift.

"At this time that is my plan. As you know Anna when a female werewolf meets her mate she is to go with him not the other way around." I explain. There are a few sad looks but most of the adults understand.

"I am excited for you" I hear several werewolves say at one time.

"Now I know all of you have sensed several vampires here. The most important thing is we are safe and everything is fine. No peace treaty has been broken. Secondly, my mother is back. She is not here to harm me or any of you. She came to speak to me and make amends. I have forgiven her and I ask that you do as well. Does anyone have any questions?" I ask

"Why is Lucy here?" Ask Tony an older werewolf. His long gray hair blowing in the warm wind and the worry written on his face is making him look older and his wrinkles more defined.

"It turns out that Marcus is the one who killed my Vampire grandmother. Lucy and the others are here to decide what should happen to him. It is out of our control he broke many rules and framed my mother for it." I explain.

Xander puts his hand on the small of my back and steps forward.

"The reason Tatiana went crazy when Nyx turned was all of Marcus' doing. Marcus is very powerful. He was always afraid that like me he would not be able to control Nyx and it scared him. He wanted to keep us apart because he was afraid of what our children will be." He explains.

"If you are anything like Nyx then why would he need to worry?" Misty, Eric's wife asked. Many of the others agree with her.

"On that note do any of you object to mine and Xander's relationship?" I ask.

I get a "No Objection" response in unison from everyone.

"Vampires have always been afraid of us. That is the only reason he is scared of you." Edna, Who is Tony's wife explains to the others.

"Well if everyone is feeling more at ease I need to get back to the house so I can see what I need to do before I go. I wish you all well." I say. But before I could go every member of the pack lines up to wish us well and give us both hugs. After an hour we are finally able to get back to see what had transpired while we were gone.

The elders are leaving as we walk up. Lucy has sentenced Marcus to death for his actions. Now we just have to hope the rest of the vampire community isn't upset about it.
