Stay or go

After seeing Nyx speak to the pack like that I can see why Theron sent her. They trust her and love her and also know they can tell her what they think without fear. She is meant to be a Luna. It is making the offer of the pack in Greece sound good right now. Το πακέτο φωτιάς, The fire pack asked me to be their Alpha just before I left to meet Nyx. I told them I thought I found my mate and once I was back I would give them my answer.

Now I know if Nyx agrees it will be yes. Before I couldn't do it I also felt that I wouldn't want to be in a pack. Not after so long of living alone. But today after every member hugged me and wished me well I knew I needed a pack again. It's been 1000 years since I was with a pack full-time. After my mother died I felt lost and all I wanted was to be alone and away from all things wolves.

Now we just have to talk about what she wants and make sure she wants to leave. I hope she does not want to leave tonight I really could use the sleep. I also may need blood or hell food I don't remember eating today, maybe I had a cookie.

"Open your mouth and extend your fangs." I look up at Nyx I am slightly confused but do as she says. She pops a bag of blood on my fangs. I start taking in the blood quickly.

"How long has it been since you have had blood?" She asks

"I dunno" I mumble over my second bag. I didn't realize I needed it even.

"I know I don't need it to survive but it sure helps and you looked like you needed it." She says as she walks off to throw the bags away.

"Now I am hungry wanna go get some food?" I ask.

"Yes, I am starving. I have usually eaten 2 more meals by now. I can't keep these curves without food." she says as she walks ahead of me. I can't help but check out her ass. I didn't realize I was an ass man till now. I've always been a titts kinda guy and my goodness she has those too. I drag myself out of my dirty thoughts before I get too excited.

"Is this your car, and you love purple?" I ask.

She turns and flashes her purple eyes at me and says "Don't you dare say a bad thing about my baby."

I put my hands up and flash my purple eyes back and say "You will never hear me say a bad thing about anything purple."

"Down big boy I am too hungry to play right now." she laughs as we pull out of the compound.

She drives out of town and heads to a nearby city with more options for food.

"I love this town but only having one place to eat gets old. That and I want Bread sticks and all-you-can-eat salad." She says and our stomachs both growl in response.

"Do you want to be a Luna?" I ask.

"I would love to be a Luna. I have always loved helping my father with the pack. I will miss it for sure. Why do you ask?"

"The day before I left to come meet you I was offered a position of Alpha to a local pack. It has 150 wolves and their Alpha recently died of natural causes. They are called Τo πακέτο φωτιάς." I say

"The Fire Pack? I think I met the Alpha Cronus when I first went to visit my Grandmother to make sure it was okay." She says as she turns into the restaurant.

"Yes, that was him. He died a week ago. His son was killed in battle and I killed the Alpha that killed him so that kinda makes me next in line. I told them I would give them an answer when we got back." I say as I open the door for her.

She doesn't say anything till after we are sitting down eating our salad and have already ordered.

"I loved them when I was there. It felt welcoming but that was also many years ago. Do you think they would welcome me?" she asks and I can see true concern in her eyes.

"After what I saw today there is no way they couldn't love you," I say

She is silent until we get our food and she has eaten half of hers. I was getting worried but I did just drop it on her and didn't want to scare her. We have yet to mate and if she says no it will hurt but she can walk away with very little pain. Once we mate even being apart for an hour will be almost impossible.

"Yes, Let's leave tomorrow I just need time to tell my father goodbye," she says

"Of course. There is no way I would just take you away without saying goodbye." I say as I reach for her hand. The touch gives me goosebumps I already know I am in love with her. I have dreamed about her almost every night for the last 10 years. There is no way I would ever do anything to upset her.

We soon finished our food. It took me a bit to realize she the real reason she was so quiet was that she was in mind linked with her father. I assume she wanted to warn him. He seems to be a control freak. But he did tell her she would go if it was what I wanted.

"Man, you really can eat a lot," I say in awe. She is so small I don't know how she can hold it all. I lead us outside staying slightly back so I can watch her walk. She seems to know why because she keeps looking back at me and smiling.

"Wanna drive us back?" she asks.

"Fuck yeah!" I say as I open the door for her to get in.

"Damn how much did you spend, and does it have air ride?" I ask as I realize how smooth a ride it is.

"Forty Grand and yes it is," she says with pride.

"Even though it was my mom's car there was no way I was going to get rid of it." She says.

I floor it just to see how fast it will go. It only took a few seconds to be over 100 mph.

"I sure as hell don't blame you this thing is awesome," I say as we pull back into the compound.

Theron welcomes us as we walk into the house. He has changed into a white T-shirt and black basketball shorts.

"Howdy, Y'all have fun?" He asks with a wicked grin.

Nyx rolls her eyes and grabs her bag and starts up the stairs. "We just got food," she says

"Nyx, I'll be up in a bit. I want to speak to your father." I say hoping she will not be upset.

"That's fine, I want a shower and everything," she says as she disappears around the corner.

Theron and I walk into the living room. He has already fixed the window and replaced the coffee table.

"Nyx says you have a possible pack back in Greece?" He asks.

"Yes, they asked me just before I left. I didn't answer them because I had no clue if I was going to go back. I wanted it to be up to her." I say as I sit down across from him.

"She is meant to be a Luna, this makes me happy. Just keep in mind the Vampires in the area may be upset about Marcus. Most in this area are happy with it. He was in a lot of sketchy things we were not aware of." he explains.

"He was always up to trouble when we were growing up. I also had a feeling he was afraid of me after he and I got in a fight many years ago." I say as I try to remember almost 1100 years ago.

"Dixie Anders has taken over this area. She is young but the Elders felt she would be a good fit." Theron explains.

"I have never met her, but I hope she can handle it," I say.

"It helps that they allowed me and the 4 other Alphas that have a treaty with them in on the decision. As long as we all agree it should be fine. Now if you don't mind I have to take care of night training. Eric took the afternoon for me when I had to deal with Marcus." He stands up and shakes my hand and walks out the door.

My heart jumps at the thought of being alone with her. It's too soon to mate we both need to make sure it will work first but it sure as hell will be hard to keep my hands off of her. I head upstairs thinking I should have grabbed my bag out of Eric's car.

As I reach the top of the stairs I see my bag. I make a mental note to thank whoever left it there. I follow the hall to the very end where I can hear Nyx sleeping. As I open the door I am surprised by the look of the room. I expected it to be purple from top to bottom. I was not expecting a big cedar king-size bed frame with a Texas star on the headboard. She looks so small in the middle of the bed. All her bedding is white as well. I see the bathroom and go take a quick shower and change into just a pair of boxers. I climb into bed next to Nyx, and as soon as I am in the bed she cuddles right up to me. I quickly fall asleep with her in my arms.
