I really miss my daugter. Knowing she is actually gone to live with her mate makes my heart hurt. She was really my everything. I know she would travel all over the world as a Marine but I knew she would come home.

"Think she would be mad if I sent her food?" I ask Eric

"No, She loves food. I think it would make her happy and remind her of home." Eric says.

"Good point, I didn't think I would miss her. I have been trying to find her mate since she turned 18. Now I feel empty." I say

"You are just lonely. Your son has his own pack and now your daughter has hers. That means you are a good father and have done what is right. Now you just need another child to take over this pack some day." Eric says

"My true mate is dead. But I don't need to remind you of that." I say in annoyance.

"But you may have another one out there. Tyler found his second mate a few years ago after his had died." Eric says with hope in his eyes.

"I doubt it" I say.

"You just need to relax. Maybe go see Nyx in a few weeks. She would like that. I am sure she is planning a wedding by now." Eric says as he slaps me on the back.

"Hmm." I say as I stand up. "I have to go speak to Ronnie and see what his plans are once his wife has the baby."

I drive to the training grounds. It is bout 10 miles from the compound down a dirt road. I own over 1000 acres. I keep it mostly wooded so we have a place to hunt and it doesn't scare the locals. They know about us. We have kept them safe. I have worked hard to keep the humans happy and not as scared of us as they really could be. Especially since they know about us, but they do not know about vampires. That is one power I wish I had and that is to erase minds. Then they wouldn't know about us and they couldn't use us for the task that they know would get them killed. They put Nyx through hell, and she took it with pride. I really hate myself for pushing her to run away. I could also kill the werewolf who recruited her in the first place. I really do need to thank Fino for getting her out when she got into trouble after the last attack she took on.

"Hi Ronnie, How is training going" I say to my Lead Warrior. He is 6'7 and solid muscle. He has red hair and green eyes with strong Irish accent. He joined the pack 20 years ago after he moved here. He was tired of all the wars that were going on between the different packs in Ireland at the time.

"It's going" He says.

"Good, I know we don't need to train so much but if we ever have another war I want us to be prepared. You have done well. How is your wife?"

"Aye she is good. The baby is due any day now. If you don't mind I would like to take a few weeks off with her. Can Delta Erin take over trainin? She is strong and I know she can do it." he ask

"That will work if she agrees. If not I will do it. Go on home and keep that wife happy. I'll find Erin." I say.

"Yes, Alpha." He says and leaves.

The training grounds looks alot like a football feild. I also have a small indoor gym we use for weight lifting and training as well. There are a Few wolves practicing hand to hand combat. Others are shifted and watching. They all stand at attention when they notice me.

"Back to training." I say and they all go back as they were.

I find Erin in the gym. She is taking out her anger on a punching bag.

"I would hate to be the one who pissed you off." I say as I walk up to her.

"Sorry Sir. I get worked up when I am traning." she says.

Erin is a tall and Native American. She has the high cheek bones, black eyes, and long black hair. She is also slender yet musclar.

"Ronnie is taking the next few weeks off to be with his wife and prepare for the new baby. Can you take over training while he is out?" I ask

She seems shocked as she answers, "Yes sir. I would be more than happy to take over."

"Good, Most of the pack seemed skeptical of a female Delta. I hope you take this as an opportunity to prove them wrong." I explain

"I will Alpha. I will gladly take this opporunity to prove my worth to this pack." She says.

"Good. I will forward you all of the current schedules you will need. Feel free to adjust it as needed." I say

"Yes sir. Although I feel like the way Ronnie has things works out pretty well. Will you still do some of the training?" She ask as she uses a towl to dry off the sweat on her brow.

"Yes, but I plan to visit Nyx in a few weeks so plan on me being gone and Eric to be in charge in that time." I say as I walk towards the door.

"Yes Alpha. Thanks again" She says and I can hear the excitment in her voice.

I head back home as I pull in I see Tatiana and her life mate with her. I get out of my car and greet them. "Hello Tati and Ed How are things?"

"Good." they say at the same time.

I usher them into the house and lead them up the stairs to my office.

"What can I do for you." I ask as I sit down at my desk and motion for them to sit in the chairs across from me.

"I just wanted to make sure you were okay with us being here for a few more days" Eddie says.

"Yes it is, but just know Nyx already left. She did not want to take her time or it would have been harder for her."

"I know, She called me before she got on the plane. I just want to say thank you for not killing me as soon as you saw me." Tatiana says. I can see true sadness in her eyes.

"I couldn't have if I tried. The moment you walked in the door Nyx froze me in my place. She would't let me move."

"Damn she had gotten stronger." Eddie says

"That is an understatment. She can do things that no one else can. I do not know if Xander can or not I really do not know the extent of his powers." Tatiana says.

"Nyx is amazing. When we were deployed she would risk her life to save everyone she could. She would break the rules just to save a child." Eddie says.

"She got that from her father." Tatiana says with a smile.

"No, she is just like you. The other day she was pissed off and she threw a whole boulder into a pond just by looking at it." I say

"Oh that is nothing. We were under attack and were surrounded by Ali Baba's with no way out, she threw an entire building on them with just the flick of her wrist." Eddie says.

"No wonder they wanted to look at her more closely. She was wreckless." I say with anger

"That may be but she would save anyone she could and she would use her power to controle minds to help with the keeping a low profile." Eddie says clearly defending her.

"Look Theron I just want to say I really am sorry. I should have realized what was going on." Tatiana says.

"It is fine. Nyx has forgiven you it will be okay." I say.

Now if you will excuse me I have not slept since she left and I am suddenly tired." I say as I rub my face with both hands. I need to shave too I am starting to get scruffy.

"Keep it, It looks good on you." Tatiana says.

It took me a minute to realize she had read my mind. Just to fuck with her I take her down memory lane to when I was fucking her in the back of her car. She turns red and Eddie starts to laugh.

"Sorry, Its been 26 years since I have had any. Its building up." I say

"No worry, If you heard the shit your daughter would say just to get under peoples skin you would know I am okay with it. I am just glad to know where she gets it." He says.

I shake his hand and lead them out the door. Once they are gone I go upstairs and fall into my bed. I am asleep in almost seconds.
