"No. You must serve your master and country," Hung Dao's father fixed Ngu Lao.
"What is the difference, sir?"
"You know the difference," he looked at Ngu Lao again.
"I can not do as you said." Ngu Lao replied with no fear.
Hung Dao's father was about to say something, but then Hung Dao got back,
"You should get ready too. I called someone to help you get around. You are coming to the banquet with me." He then looked at his father, "Have you finished talking?"
"Yes just as you came. You can leave now," Hung Dao's father said.
"Then pardon me," Ngu Lao bowed to both of them and walked out.
"What did father talk with him about?" Hung Dao asked.
"Nothing much. I just wanted to test his loyalty to you."
"And how was it?"
"Loyal to my country and master' That was what he said," his father silently observed Hung Dao's reaction after saying that.
"See. I know he is very loyal," Hung Dao happily said.
His father frowned by those words.
When Ngu Lao walked out, there was already a servant waiting for him. They exchanged some words and the servant started to walk Ngu Lao to his room. While walking he thought to himself.
"Seems like the prince doesn't know what his father is up to."
