Chapter 30

~Chara's PoV~

I tripped over a tree root and Alex caught me. "Hey you alright? You spaced out there for a while." He asked, clearly worried that something was wrong.

I nodded and said, "Yeah I'm fine just had a flashback… about something really important that I need to get. Son of a bitch. Frisk probably has the damn thing in her room which means I won't be able to get it. Fuck fuck fuck!" I punched the nearest tree, leaving a hole in the tree.

"Woah, calm down. What is it that's so important? Maybe we can find one in town?" Alex suggested. I suddenly just snapped.

"You can't just "find" another copy of a book about how to summon Lucifer himself! It's not fucking possible! I need that book, it's the only thing that holds all the answers. I never did get to finish reading it, but if I remember I put a small enough glamour on it to last for thousands of years without anyone knowing what it really was about or what it held, all they would find was a bunch of gibberish and then one clear spell on how to summon Lucifer, except only the children of Lucifer can use the spell so it wouldn't work for anyone else! But if Frisk finds out how important that book is to me she won't give it up! I'm going to need some help from inside the castle… Dad?" I looked around for the black panther but he wasn't anywhere to be seen. "Strange, he never leaves my side, so what happened?" I mutter.

Alex looks around and says, "I noticed that he wasn't around but thought nothing of it. Are you sure that no one else has the ability to summon him?" I looked at him, he was perfectly calm despite

my recent outburst.

I touched my cheek where there was a small scar from what happened twelve years ago. "No, no one else can summon him, unless they're not from here." I said.

Alex knelt down next to me and brushed my hair away, revealing the small, nearly hidden, scar. "What's this from?" He asked, gently tracing the scar, causing me to shiver slightly.

"It's from twelve years ago." I answered, knowing that Alex really wanted to know how I got it. "How I got it is not important." I added, turning away, letting my hair cover the scar yet again.

Alex sighed and said, "I thought we agreed on not keeping secrets last night." I looked back at him and hugged him, trying not to start crying.

"It was the day that I found out about Lucifer being my dad, it was also my sixth birthday. I was about to head back to my room after dinner when he asked me, "So, Kayleigh, what exactly have you been up to? We haven't seen you all day." Of course that was the day I also got my magic, so I caused him just enough pain to get him out of my face and in the process he saw my eyes turn from blue to red, so he snatched my pocket knife out of my hand and gave me this scar. Of course it's healed up over the years but I don't like remembering how he screamed the word demon at me, as if I had just killed his parents." I whispered.

Alex just hugged me back saying nothing, we remained that way for a while before we both decided to head back to his cabin.
