Suspicions

Naruto looked at the seal tag in hand. He had just completed the advanced books on sealing a few days ago in hopes of creating a seal similar to Hiraishin and tried to make a seal of his own. He created a resistance seal to improve his strength, speed and reaction time. This seal was helpful as well as easier to make than a Hiraishin so he chose this as his first creation.

He looked at his reflection in the mirror observed the many seals on him. His right hand had the sun and key seal, his arms were filled with a few storage seals for different items and his abdomen had the new seal he created after fighting Kurama.

'Looks like all the seals have become visible because of no chakra, it doesn't really matter though. No one can see them and even if someone does see them I can say that they are tattoos.' He nodded in thought and took a few deep breaths before slapping the seal in the center of his chest. His hand lit up with aura and he activated the seal.

Symbols crawled all over his body before disappearing and the empty tag slipped off his body leaving a kanji for resist with ten small circles around it. A pressure fell on his body and breathing became slightly difficult but Naruto persisted. He moved around the room and practiced some stances.

"I can probably fight like a Jonin, now that I have handicapped myself." he grinned and practiced moves that could be done in the confines of his hotel room. Everything move required him to put more effort and he even had to react like a jonin ninja to fight at the level of a chunin.

According to his estimation, he can easily use level three of the seal but it might damage his body if he activated it right now. This was the reason why he wanted to stay at each level for a week and get used to sudden changes.

After every week the seal will deactivate itself automatically and he will have the chance to fight without anything hindering him and get used to the new strength.

....

Naruto entered the airship and searched for his seat. One he was comfortable, he closed his eyes and entered his core. He looked at his chakra core which was still chained and his aura core that had grown bigger and brighter than the first time he had seen it. In the center of it were fuinjutsu symbols that made more sense to him now that he was advanced seal master. They still constantly changed to make any sense of but Naruto started studying them to further his understanding. He was sure that these symbols will help him create the seal tag to teleport anywhere he wanted.

The airship was filled with people talking excitedly about the Vytal Festival but only Naruto was sitting alone. He did not move from his seat until the announcement came that ship will be landing soon. He opened his eyes and wiped the sweat off his forehead, it always took considerable effort to concentrate on the symbols but each time it increased his endurance and control over his semblance.

Naruto walked out of the airship once it landed and made his way out of the landing pad. He looked at the buildings in amazement. The decorations were scattered everywhere on the buildings, roads filled with cars and sidewalks full of people. He booked a room after searching for a while since all the places were already fully booked. Once he checked the room for any spying devices he left to enjoy the festival since tomorrow will be the start of the tournament.

'Maybe I can finally have a proper vacation.' He excitedly thought.

Families or groups of friends enjoyed by eating and playing games on the stalls that were specially made to cater to visitors from different places in the world.

The positive emotions were so much that they invaded his senses and overwhelmed him. The sudden attack of new emotions was so much that he had to take a seat on a bench and adjust to the emotions he was feeling from the people all around him.

A small smile made its way on his face and he started enjoying the new sensation instead of the negativity that attacked his sense and made him gag. The noise around him slowly disappeared and all he could see were smiling faces of the people walking right by him. When he focused on a child, pure excitement and joy rose in him.

He knew that they were not his emotions, he was like an observer, everyone ignored him like he wasn't even there but he was there; looking at their happiness and feeling the sheer joy of every person he focused on.

After being sure that his new sensing ability would not hinder him in enjoying himself, he jumped into the festivities. Playing games to win prizes and eating from the stalls. Naruto also saw his last book on the shelf being sold in the stores. He was still roaming when his eye fell on a ramen stall. His head moved so fast that it should have broken and he appeared at the stall in a blink of an eye.

"Hey old man, One bowl please." He ordered a bowl excitedly to test the taste.

Soon, a steaming bowl of ramen was placed in front of him. He split the chopsticks and slowly ate some noodles first. After savoring the noodles slowly he drank a spoon full of broth. After a few seconds, he started eating at a normal pace but still finished the bowl in minutes.

He waved at the old man and asked him to come closer. Naruto whispered something in his ear and asked for two more bowls.

The second batch that arrived was more aromatic and delicious looking. The old man looked at him expectantly while he calmly tested the new flavors.

Naruto sighed in satisfaction, "Ahh, definitely better than the previous one. You just got yourself a new customer!" Naruto grinned at the old man who smiled and went back to work.

After two more bowls, Naruto paid and left the stall to do some shopping and information gathering. He needed some essentials since all his supplies were depleted in the last expedition and the rumors that he heard while enjoying the festival were concerning him.

Naruto wanted to enjoy the festival, see the students fight and enjoy his vacation but he did not want to blindsided by something. So he decided to spend the rest of his night in the bars. Naruto went back to his room and wore a long black coat on his vest and pants with a tie that matched his eyes to look like he was from a rich place.

He sealed his weapons and started flirting with girls in the bar, getting them drunk with him so they could easily spill the information in between the flirting. He seduced the beautiful woman that gathered around him with slightly more believable stories than his godfather. It disgusted him when these women roamed their hands on his body and he had to do the same but all for the sake of information.

Naruto moved from bar to bar, gathering information and seducing ladies like a playboy. Only when it was late at night did he enter the room. His posture immediately changed and the drunk look in his eyes was replaced by a sharp glow. Clenching his hands in frustration, he settled on the luxurious sofa and leaned by while looking up at the ceiling.

The information he gathered was quite different from the news he saw on his scroll. It looked like someone tried to bury the matter of White Fang and Roman Torchwick's activities and a downgraded version was told to the people of the world.

'Good thing Roman is already under lock and key but I need to keep my eyes open and my senses always in use.' he decided and kept thinking of anything he had missed.

'Even if I look underneath the underneath, there aren't many things I know of to make assumptions about. I could go and hack into Vale's police headquarter since there will be less security since most of the police is focusing on security around Vale'

His thoughts kept him up till morning and he decided to forgo sleep. After a shower to get rid of the smell of alcohol, he had a big breakfast and lounged in the lobby to watch the preliminaries.

After his recent investigation, Naruto did not had the heart to go to the arena and watch the matches in person. A crowd of high-class people gathered in the lobby since the hotel catered more towards such people.

The broadcast started with a speech given by the headmaster of Beacon about sportsmanship and exchange of culture and soon devolved into the rules where a team of four will fight another team of four. In the semifinals only two fighters will be selected by each team to represent themselves and later only one person will fight in the finals.

'Looks like these people don't say how much politics is involved in such a tournament. From the look of their faces these kids think of this as a simple tournament, not a show of power between different schools.' he reminisces over his own chunin exams and how much it mattered to every village.

The fights only garnered mild interest from him. Some first-year teams did not have a shred of teamwork while some had a little bit of teamwork. His interest was peaked when a team from Haven worked cohesively but he could see that they were definitely holding back their cards for the finals. Their leader looked older than others so maybe she has more experience.

There was a short lunch break so he left the hotel to eat some more ramen. Naruto wanted to enjoy it as much as he could before he had to end his vacation.

Entering into the stall his mouth watered from the aroma. "Three bowls old man and wait for one to end before bringing another. Thank you."

He had just ordered when four more girls took a seat. He observed that they were a team from Beacon. Naruto picked up their chatter which got him slightly interested in their activities. Apparently the girl in white was Winter's little sister.

He ate and listened to them talking about their past mission and helping in apprehending Roman. He was excited for this pie that fell from the sky, now he knew that Roman had hired someone that was still out there doing who knows what and White Fang and him were working together.

Soon, four more people entered the stall and sat opposite to him. He jealousy looked at the girl with orange hair but eventually got back to eating. The conversation diverted to the first jitters and Naruto smiled at the interaction between these friends.

He was quietly enjoying his ramen when a heavy hand fell on his shoulder.

"Get off the seat, filthy piece of shit.", a boy said in arrogant voice.

Naruto sighed and turned around to look at a tall and muscular boy with three boys behind him. The two teams were now silent and had stopped eating to see what was going to happen.

As Naruto was considering if he had offended someone the boy pulled his hood off, showing his face to the world.

"You are not a faunus." the boy said and Naruto just nodded.

"Do I know you?" he asked.

"No, but you will if you don't get up from the seat and allow my team to sit here."

Naruto laughed which got several reactions from the people gathered around to watch the show. The boy grabbed his collar when Naruto saw Pyrrha Nikos herself standing up from her seat.

"Cardin, Stop!" she yelled and the boy named Cardin glared at her.

Cardin and his bunch were about to get violent when Naruto's posture changed slightly and he released pure dominant intent on them. A heavy pressure fell on everybody and their breath got stuck in their throats.

Team RWBY and JNPR also noticed how the atmosphere changed suddenly and looked at Naruto. He grabbed Cardin's hand that was grabbing onto his collar and looked at him with a smile.

"I am going to ask again. Do I know you?" he asked slowly while crushing his hand bit by bit.

Naruto saw his knees shake and the color draining his face.

"I am from the Winchester family.", he yelled in desperation. A final attempt to show his superiority.

Naruto calmly brought his scroll out and opened it to show his huntsman license. "And I am a huntsman."

He pushed the boy back and straightened his cloak. "Leave and stop annoying people. The Winchester name does not carry much weight so don't believe that it can save you."

The seriousness on his face disappeared and he waved the people off and turned back to his ramen. Sad that his ramen got cold, Naruto ordered a fourth bowl to improve his mood.

"That was awesome!" Naruto jumped in his seat when the orange-haired girl teleported? "You were so cool, how did you do that?"

"Nora, don't annoy him please." Naruto awkwardly waved off the boy's concern and thought through how to answer his question. He looked around and saw that all of them were looking curiously at him and waiting for his answer.

"Have you guys heard of killing intent?" They shook their heads in negative, Naruto sighed and palmed his face. "Think of it like this. When a hunter hunts an animal they usually are very calm but even then an animal is easily able to sense that it is being hunted. That is because of the killing intent emitted by the hunter unconsciously, I did the same thing. Instead of killing intent, I tried projecting pure pressure to make him go away."

He saw some that understood his words and others who were still confused. "Don't worry guys, you will understand it when you gain more experience."

The two teams went back to eating and Naruto left for the hotel to watch some more matches after paying for his ramen. He had only taken a few steps when an aggressive announcement for team JNPR echoed everywhere and he laughed while looking back at them. It looks like because of his drama they were late for their match.
