The Party: Late Arrivals

Gretell Long was sitting the passenger seat of the family car...eye balling her husband as he drove towards their daughter campus apartment. "Did u really have to buy so much , love." How do u kno she doesn't already have this stuff, dear. " They had been in the local Walmart for the last hour. He grabbed kitchen appliances and bathroom decor. He was jus over doing it as usual. She looked back to see the twins where indeed uncomfortable. Being some of the home decor stuck out from the back of the car to where they sat in da middle.

"Yea dad. " Jusina said. "You know Jusi has always been on her toes ." Pushing the lamp out her face.

" Jusi appartment is probably fully decorated " said the other twin,Jussei. "She's already had each room decorated in head ...since she was 16."

The twin each high five each other. Not only was their dad over doin thing,but was forgetting jus who he was talking about. Their oldest sister always had a plan. They knew it was something more to this party than she led on. They have been waiting patiently through the drive from home.Walking around walmart for the last hour as their father picked up everything in sight. "How much longer." The twin complained as one. "We are ready to see Jusi."

" We're exactly 5 minutes away ". Jonah Long smiled to his youngest daughters through the rear view mirror. "Im thinking she gone love everything ." He spoke to them as a whole. "Matter fact I bet her surprise is about that internship, which I'm sure most of this will get her started ." He spoke matter of factly. As if he already knew everything about whatever our daughter had planned. Gretell didnt say another word though. They will soon find out themselves.

Back a Jusi house, a few more guest had arrived. Paul ,Mate and Timmy all work wit her at the local cafe. Jayme is her hair stylist .Jayme's boyfriend Karl . What seemed a few lower classman had show up too.She didnt mind that they had came.She would jus have to watch them around the alcohol .She told herself. Looking round at everyone dancing to Drake. Her party was actually great. Jade and Renie was having a intense conversation in the corner. Jade was indeed drunk. Renie was right behind her. The music was loud but Jusi could still hear Jade going on about her paper. Jusi knew Renie was listening intensely because intoxicated monster got her by the ears.

She at the lower classman once more...because she thought one of them looked familiar. She shook her head.Grabing Jade nd Renie by their hands.Shee headed to dance with the rest of da party. As soon as she was on the dance floor,which was her living room without furniture.Everyone in the party started chatting "Go birthday girl." she could hear Renie "Go birthday bih." Jade and Kali both where " Aye Aye Aye." Jusi jus took it all in. Everyone danced round her.She looked up to see a lower classman wit a cup in her hands. She walked right to her. " Hey what are you drinking." The girl looked guilty ."Its orange juice." She lied hope the woman believed her. "Let me see the cup freshman." Jusi held out her hand. The girl rolled her eyes but gave up the cup. It was in fact orange with what seemed like half a shot vodka in it. " Go on to the dance .Ask that tall gentleman in the glasses to dance." She pointed at Paul. The girl didnt need any more direction. That sould keep her away from the kitchen for while. Jusi was on her way to the bathroom when the flash of car light cought her attention. She looked at the clock.It had jus 8 p.m. Her party started 7. Her parents were surpose to been here by 7:30.It had to them.

Jonah ,Gretell, and the twins pulled up to Jusi house to see a full college party in action. The twin didnt even think twice. Giving each other a crooked smiled. They fixed ther hair and straightened their clothes. " No need for you girl to get all excited. Yall wont be actually attending the party.Since yall are only 17." The twins face fell.Getting out the car Gretell fumbled around her purse for the key she had. She was jus about to use her key when the door swing open wide. " MOM FINALLY!" Jusi ran into her mother arms hugging her tightly. "Its ur father fault we're an hour late dear." Her mother explain smiling. " Dont look in the back of car. It might jus give you a headache." Her mother warned. "Where the twins. Are they the only siblings who came." Jusi looked in at the old family car. She couldn't believe 10 children fit into at one point in life. ""Here we are." The twin spoke as one,coming from round the car. the ran to hug their oldest sister. "We have missed you so much." Justina said. " Mother has been driving use crazy. It's hard being the last girls left in the house." Juusie looked torn. Jusi laughed at their dramatic antics . Her mother has the twins in pageant since the girls started walking. They were a perfect blend of both mother nd father. Jonah Long came from round the car jus than.His arm where full with everything he could carry. "Oh no dad.." Jusi looked at father smiling face and knew he had over did it. "Dad all of this really isn't necessary." Jusi jus kissed his forehead. A hug was impossible at this point. " Well sweetheart u can never be too parpared." Was the only answer her father gave her. Her mother was shacking her head laughing. The Twins were peeking their heads into house. Trying to get a view of the party. Jusi laughed at her younger sisters. They were only 17 so she couldn't invite them to the party. "Come on into kitchen. Mom ,Dad would yall like a drink. It's still food too." She walked them through the back hall from the front door.To avoid the dancing college students in her living room.

The twins went right to the food table. It was Simi full of finger sandwiches, fruit nd vegetables trays, a few different salads and several different type of desserts. She knew her sister would be content once they saw her bedroom. " Now that you girl have your food. " Thier mother directed the to the stairs. " Up to Jusi bedroom. She has the new Xbox or something." She waved away. The twin ran to the room. They dont get alot of down time during this time of year. Jusi knew they wouldn't be seeing the twins no more tonite. Jusi was about to go find Reni when she walked around the corner...nearly hold up a drunk Jade,wit Kali on they heels. Which in Jade case was good...because as soon a she caught sight of Gretell Long ,Renie ran straight to her. Kali had to catch Jade from behind. The almost fall woke Jade right up though.

" Mama Long!." Renie was hugging her tightly .

"Hello my dear Renie ."

"Its been way to long since I have seen your kind eyes."

" It has indeed dear. How's Florida A&M." she asked.

"Its great, only having my sister best friend join me could make it better." Reni teased Jusi ,who in return rolled her eyes. Kali who was struggling to hold a drunk Jade up cleared her throat. Jusi and Renie both looked in her direction. "We was putting her the car remember. " Kali stated. " Oh yeah." She shook her head. " My bad girl.I completely forgot why we even came in to the kitchen." Renie turned to Jusi." Kali gone take Jade back to their droom." Renie explained. " I was gone help get her to the car." They turn to leave. Just than Mr.Long stopped them. "I'll carry her. Neither of you ladies look like yall hold your own forms." He laughed. " Let along someone else's."

He swung Jade into his arms wit ease. Following Kali out to her car. Maybe 5 minutes went by before he was back. " All is safe...I offered to drive them to their drooms." He pointed out."But the short one insisted they would be find."

"Kali dad. She right thought. They stay in the middle drooms. Behind the freshman drooms." Jusi explained to her father. " She'll text me once she get Jade in their room. "

In the living room the music was still goin.The party was in full swing. My dad look at my mom. The both had chose a single shot of Hennessy. He held his hands out. " Shall we show these kids how we got down in our day." Taking her husband's hand ." I'll follow your lead big daddy."

Renie and Jusi looked at each ...completely taked back. Following Jusi parent into da livingroom of dancing college students. They blended in almost perfectly. Her parents were well in to their 40s. However you couldn't tell by jus looking at them.Jusi looked a Renie who jus shrugged her shoulders. They too joined in the dancing. Jusi smiled as she danced wit Renie. Best birthday ever,she thought to self .
