Prologue: Before the Beginning

I'm currently being chased by a few beauties, which is nice, and a few males. Unfortunately, the beauties' interest does not seems to be romantic in nature.

I'm a wanted criminal you see? Guilty of torturing other criminals that I caught myself. Yes, I caught them myself. I even went out of my way to leave the evidence of the criminals that I caught in front of the officer's door, but apparently vigilante is not very welcomed in this city.

I want to complain, you know? I did all the things myself; reducing the crime rate, finding evidences, delivering punishment, and easing their job, yet not even a single thanks. Not cool, friend. Not cool at all.

*gunshot*

Ouch, that's the seventh bullet in my body now. I'll probably die, eh. Multiple bullet wounds, severe blood loss, fatigue and whatnots from this 12-hour chase is enough to take me down, apparently. And here I thought I'm invincible.

Serves you right, me.

Not that I regret my way of life though. My parents died a few years back, no siblings, no one I'm really attached to, there's not much that I'm attached to in this life.

It's just…

It kinda sucks not having anyone to cheer me on. The reason I chose this career is that I got lots of cheers when I captured a criminal in my teenage years, after all. There's a lot of people supporting me at the time, called me a hero, featured on some news and magazines. But as the years go on, slowly people started to fear me.

I think it's around my 300th catch? I'm not so sure, I stopped counting after 137th. I think they stopped cheering me on because I torture the criminal, probably. Maybe.

I mean, all the criminals that ended up in my hand are broken, mentally and physically. They become a living piece of meat, almost literally. Ahahah, my bad. Still, I only target criminals right? At least a fan club, please? But no, there's no one supporting me. Sucks.

To be honest, my childhood is pretty glorious. Few gold medals in martial arts, decent look, enough cash from my parent's inheritance, good academic result, a lot of friends and all that. But I feel like there's something lacking in my life. Until the day I broke a rapist's hand.

In my defense, the hand broke because of his own struggle. I just pin him down, you see. I must admit though, I like the feel of it. I loved it. The sound, the feel, the face he makes. Combined with the praises I got at the time; torturing criminals becomes my hobby.

A bit hard at the beginning, but it's pretty easy once you know a few guys underground. They are probably more than happy to leak a few of their enemies' locations. It's not like they lose anything, after all.

*gunshot*

That really hurts, goddamnit. An effective way to get me back to reality, huh. Neat.

*stumbles*

The cold floor feels kinda good.

Goodnight, officers. And the world too, while I'm at it.

*****

Aaaand, I'm somehow alive. No injuries, no headache, all my limbs movable. Neat.

I'm probably dead though, cause there's this creature that looks like a devil in front of me. He got this goat-head and wings and all. But he wears a formal suit, not to mention this monotone office-like environment around me. Let's start with a greeting, I guess?

"Ehem, hello sir. May I know why I'm here?"

"You are dead, and you are here to reincarnate," he replied, short and concise. "Now if you please, take a seat. I will tell you what you need to know."

After I take a sit on the chair in front of his desk, he continues with the briefing.

"First of all, the top management has deemed your deeds as merits, which indicates that appropriate rewards are in order," he said, before snapping his finger, causing a bar to appear on the air, "and this bar shows you your reward limits. But do remember that your wishes can't interfere with the universe you came from, as it will disturb the flow of fate."

"Can I ask your suggestion on how I use my wish? Or an example from my predecessors, if there's any."

"Well, aren't you a calm one? Really make my job easier. For your age group, which is 15 to 30 years old, the most common will be reincarnation to their favorite fiction universe. Fiction for them, that is. But trust me, those universes are as true as yours. If they can afford it, there's also the option to customize their next life as well. Now, have you decided?"

"If I wished for something, can I change or cancel it? Or will it be permanent the moment my wish leaves my mouth?"

"Your wishes are finalized the moment you sign the agreement. Until then, you can try any combination of wishes as you please. And don't worry, there's no time limit whatsoever."

"Then thank you sir, and I would like to be left alone for a while if possible."

"As you wish. If you have finished or would like to ask a question, there's a guide inside that will help you. Until then, you can stay as long as you feel like," he said, pointing at a door.

After I thanked him one more time, I go through the door he points me at. The room's color theme is the same as his office; white, black and grey. There's a big screen inside, a sofa, and a coffee table. I don't know where the lighting comes from though, there's no shadow at all. Neat.

Looking at the screen, I process the conversation just now. The point is, I will reincarnate. Depending on my rewards quantity, I can customize my next life. I can't wish for anything related to my past life. And there's a guide in here, though I can't see him/her.

"Excuse me, Mr. Guide?" I voiced out, half-shouting.

"Affirmative," a robotic voice replied, echoing in the room.

I see, so the guide should be like an AI, considering that the devil said that I will be alone in this room.

"How do I make my wish?"

"Report. Wish can be done through the verbal transmission."

Verbal transmission, huh. Let's try that out then.

"I wish to go to My Hero Academia universe."

The guide keeps silent, but on the screen, the percentage bumps to 1%. I see, so as I ask for more wishes the percentage bar will fill up. Easy to understand, yes. Next, let's try another experiment.

"I wish to be born with the power of creation, without any limitations and requirements."

On-screen, the percentage jumps to 2@#86@#$^4% with "Unable to proceeds," written in red underneath the bar. Oh. Ok. Anyway, I got the gist of it.

"Cancel my previous wish. For my new wishes, I want sand-control quirk."

The bar reduced back to 1%, before increasing to 17%. 16% to specify a quirk, huh. Neat.

......

After a few hours, all my wish is written on the screen.

1) Reborn in MHA (1%)

2) Sand control quirk (47%)

i) Absolute control of sand within 2 km

ii) Sand-sense

iii) Sand-avatar

iv) Brain enchantment for quirk

3) Perfect body and mind for martial arts (31%)

4) Perfect coverup within the first 12yo (12%)

5) Bishounen look (2%)

Total 93%

One thing that I found out is that wishing for power from other anime (they called it universe though) consumes more percentage compared to power in MHA itself.

Another thing is that less percentage will be used to "alter" things that I already have, compared to creating something new, which is why I chose to improve my quirk rather than getting multiple different powers. Also, if there's extra percentage points leftovers, it will be used to improve all of your wishes to a certain degree.

As for my quirk enchantment, absolute control is because I think it's important. No other reason, really.

The sand sense is for perception, while sand-avatar is where all my sand clones are considered as "me" so whenever they train or study I will improve as well. Kinda like Naruto's clones, basically.

The brain enchantment for quirk is because I will control million, or billion, of sands; combined with the info from sand-sense, my little brain might be fried. So, to make sure my brain can handle it, I get this enchantment.

By the way, if I didn't include "for quirk" in the brain enchantment I can't afford it cause it will actually include photographic memory, telekinetic, telekinesis and all that stuffs together. Same case with Perfect body. The perfect body will basically give my body more potential than a Super Saiyan if I didn't specify it for "martial arts" only. Neat. Not that I can afford it though.

Perfect coverup is actually because I think that my rate of improvement will be too fast. Especially for martial arts. So, when I asked the guide it said that this coverup will ensure that during my first 12 years in that world I will be in an environment where all my martial arts, knowledges, and whatnot from the previous world can be explained. Neat.

As for bishounen... well. Do I really need to explain it? Just let me and my fantasy be, yes?

Anyway, I don't think there is anything that I want to add. Too strong does not seem really fun to me. Besides, the MHA universe is actually pretty safe, if you discount their occasional bout of city-leveling fights. I mean, if Toru Hagakure and Minoru Mineta can survive then why can't I, right?
