Spooky Scary Spiders

Currently, Edward was underneath Harry's invisibility cloak with the other two boys.

It had been a while since the duelling incident. During that time, the protagonists had used the polyjuice potion but their investigation in the Slytherin common room gave them nothing but blackmail material against the Malfoys.

Another thing that happened was Harry finding the diary; Edward had decided not to immediately destroy it as he wanted to have another little chat with his best friend Voldy.

Now, they were watching Hagrid and Dumbledore putting up with the arrogant Lucius and brain-dead Fudge.

I mean, how did this guy get the job as Minister of Magic?

The conversation came to a close as Hagrid and Dumbledore were escorted away, albeit not without giving the group terrible advice, as Lucius sneered incessantly.

Once they had left the boys, noticing the spiders crawling out of the window, followed after them, with only the spluttering flame of a lamp to guide them.

The dark and dense foliage swallowed them as they vigilantly followed the treacherous paths, Ron shaking with fear while Edward cheerfully whistled as if going for a morning stroll.

The other two turned to him.

"Are you not scared?" Harry asked, mystified by Edward's complete disregard for seemingly everything.

"Leave it Harry. He's a bloody monster. I reckon he scares off most of the beasts!"

Ron shivered as he was reminded of Edward's many feats.

Eventually, they came across a small tunnel of wood and mud, enclosed by gnarled, twisting tree branches and stumps.

"Can we go back now?" Ron asked, trembling.

Despite this, they all carried on through the small tunnel, crouched as low as possible and steadied themselves by gripping the crumbling dirt walls.

Continuing through the tunnel, they emerged at a huge arena of webs, but everything was eerily silent.

Suddenly, they were jolted by a hoarse and chilling voice as huge, hairy legs surfaced from a large hole beneath the largest web in the forest.

Ron gulped and Harry's heart was in his throat.

The legs lifted a huge acromantula with bulbous eyes, black as night, and pincers the size of a child.

"Hagrid, is that you?" the spider wheezed.

Harry emboldened himself and replied.

"No, we're friends of his."

Aragog spoke with the boys as he studied them with glistening eyes, landing on Edward.

"You. Your magical power is much higher than a regular child. In fact, stronger than most adults should be. Who are you?"

"Edward. Edward Lyore."

Aragog seemed to ponder for a moment.

"I haven't heard that name in a while. It's a shame to have to eat you, but your magic and meat is just too much to resist for my my children."

Exchanging a look, Ron and Harry grabbed Edward's arms and started to pull him away.

"Well, thanks for the help. We'll just be on our way now," said an anxious Harry, slowly backing away.

"How can I let all this food escape? I can't let my children starve."

Masses of hairy legs began to crawl towards and surround them. Fangs bared, pincers chattering with excitement, they closed in on the two terrified boys and Edward.

Quickly, the boys turned around and tried to escape, shooting off a couple of 'Arania Exumai' as the spiders pounced at them, instead sending them flying.

A rusty and battered, blue car whizzed through the forest and sped off of a branch ramp, landing in front of trio.

"Get in! Get in!" Ron screamed as he practically leaped into the car.

The other two happily obliged as Ron slammed his foot on the pedal, launching any spiders foolish enough to remain in front of them, metres away.

"Hold tight!"

The engine roared as they sped away, metal scraping and slamming into the trees and ground. Meanwhile, the army of spiders rushed towards them, the thunderous pounding of legs against the forest floor filling the night.

Spiders rose from every corner of the forest and blocked their way as the car drove straight at them.

The escape was completely blocked by rows upon rows of spiders.

"We've got to go up!" Harry shouted.

Ron desperately shook the invisibility lever.

"It's not working."

Distressed, they kept trying to push the lever as the wall of spiders closed in on both sides. Both of them turned to Edward, only to be shocked.

He was just chilled out reading a magazine.

"Where did you even-"

"Side pocket." Edward interrupted.

"Will you please just help us?" Ron screamed anxiously.

"Ok."

Edward just pushed the lever and it moved immediately.

The car slowly began to lift and flew through the sky in possibly the least graceful way possible, hitting every branch on the way.

There was of course an awkward coughing as Ron realised he had lost his cool just a little bit.

A little bit of flying later, the car began to slowly descend and finally all 4 wheels touched the ground.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Ron clutched his heart and turned to Harry and Edward.

"If Hagrid ever gets out of Askaban, I'll kill him!"
