He sounded a little cruel and firm in his reply.

Sunshine shone through the window and into the house. Every movement of his was elegant and his whole body was surrounded with a shining golden light. When they entered, he only lifted up his eyelids and glanced at the child.

Xia Xingchen felt that he was so near to her yet he was still worlds away. They never belonged to the same world.

"Little master, Miss Xia, good morning," the maid respectfully greeted them. She then pulled out their chairs for them.

"Dad, good morning," Xia Dabai politely greeted.

"Morning." He faintly moved his lips.

Xia Xingchen stayed silent and ate her breakfast. After last night, she was too embarrassed to look at him. But it seemed that she was the only one who felt embarrassed since he was indifferent and calm.

"Dad, what is this?" Xia Dabai curiously blinked his big eyes and looked at his neck.

Xia Xingchen looked over and realized that he was looking at the same area of Bai Yeqing's neck that she had bitten. Last night, she really went on a drunken rampage and bit too harshly, hence, the wound still looked shocking to the eye.

"I let a cheeky cat bit me." With that said, the President's gaze knowingly moved towards her.

Xia Xingchen became embarrassed. She felt that his words sounded too intimate.

She instinctively raised her eyes and met his gaze. Her cheeks turned red and she could not hold the table knife properly.
