Our protagonist, Matt Simmons, lives in a normal modern day earth until he gets a sudden visit from Truck-kun. Then the world slowly but surely falls to anarchy. Will our protagonist save it from the brink, watch it burn or maybe he will pick a third choice? 

This is not planned as an isekai novel as of this moment.  Just writing for fun and trying it out.I am planning on taking inspiration from the many manga, ln's, wn's and anime I've seen so if you see something familiar that would be why. I've got a few plans for stories at the moment but this one is sticking in my head the most right now so here we go.

Anarchy Rising

"She seems nice, do you have any interest in her?" Mrs. Simmons says while washing the dishes.


"I'm not too interested in dating right now Mom. I have this feeling that if I don't put my all to getting stronger right now, I'd lose everything I care about. Getting close to someone I just met seems like it'd do more harm than good right now." Matt says.


"If you keep thinking like that, you'll be a lonely old man soon." Mrs. Simmons says while drying her hands.


"My feelings lately are pretty accurate. Her and her organization have been spying on me as well. I don't know what the future will hold, but at the very least I only see her as a coworker for now." Matt says. "And I'm not sure if I will even age normally anymore. I've already broken the natural law by resurrecting from death, even if it wasn't on purpose. I've started thinking if the world has always been so dark, or if my eyes were just opened when I got this power."


"You'll always be my son, even if the world makes you its enemy I will have your back." Mrs. Simmons says and puts her hand on Matt's shoulder.


With a resolute look Matt says "Thanks, but if anything really bad happens I will do my best to solve it without putting my friends or family in danger. That might be what drives me most to get stronger." 


That night as Matt is laying on his bed staring at the ceiling, his phone buzzes once. He sees a text from Ariana.


Ariana-Are you ready for your first target Judgement?-


Matt-I need a picture and a general area. Description of the targets abilities would be nice as well.-


Ariana-Its all been sent to your phone, you should get it in a minute.-


Matt-Also, why did you call me Judgement?-


Ariana-The director and I have decided it works as your code name. Mine is Arachne, by the way.-


Matt-Somehow seems fitting, I do get the feeling you bite the head off the men you've been with.-


Ariana-Would you like to see if I bite your 'head' *winky face*-


Matt-Got the location, is his name really Thunder Head? Sounds like a corny villain.-


Ariana-It's what he calls himself. Remember, you will get paid more for bringing him alive. But if you do have to kill him, just send me the location and a squad will come by for confirmation.-


Ariana-....It's a phone, not a walkie talkie.
