A Ring?

As Xiao Ning'er watched Jin walk off in the distance, she got lost in thought. What exactly did Jin go through, and why does it seem like he's felt great pain. The only reason she came to this thought was that she too has been in great pain caused by the Sacred Family amd a few members of her own family.

Xiao Ning'er gather her stuff together, and got ready to leave, but then she noticed a circular ring on the ground. She picked it up, and thought maybe he dropped this. "No, there's no way he would have dropped.....But if he didn't then who did?" wonder Xiao Ning'er.

"I'll look inside to see if I can find who this ring belongs to." As she looked inside the ring ring, she found a bunch of medicine, and a sealed letter.

The letter was addressed to her.

Hey Xiao Ning'er,

This ring is for you, and the medicine in this ring is for your disease. Also I would like to ask if you could help me with a little favor. I would do it myself, but then that would draw too much attention to me, which I can't have right now. If you decide to refuse that's okay to, but if you want to do it then that's great. Meet me in the library if you decide to help. And bring a unused soul crystal, Nie Li is going to test our soul realm, and I can get him to test yours too if you want. Also be careful, I felt someone watching us, but I don't think they have bad intentions. And one last thing, don't train at night anymore or your disease will flare up again, and you will be injured badly. After you reach silver rank then you can resume training outside, but until then don't do it."

After Xiao Ning'er read the letter she put it back in the ring, and for some reason she felt really happy.

Xiao Ning'er looked up at the sky, and saw the vast empty space, and all the stars in between. She wanted to be able to travel, and even more so now that Jin told that their were more places like this, and that they weren't the last humans left.

Then she looked off into the distance were Jin went, and couldn't help but be glad that she had met him, even though it was for a short time, she still felt indebted to him, and made up her mind to follow him where ever he goes.

After this she walked out of the trainings ground and went back home.

"You can come out now. I already know you're out there." said Jin Slowly a dark hooded figure walked out from from the shadow. "Very impressive. To be able to sense me." said the hooded man.

"I don't know who you are, and honestly I don't care, but if you think about telling anyone what you saw tonight I will kill you, and everyone in your family." said Jin coldly.

"Hahahaha! To think that a kid who hasn't even began their cultivation journey, dares to threathen me!!!!!! Do you have a loose screw in your head or something?" laughed the hooded man. But then he felt a cold and dark aura behind him.

"!!!!!!!!!"

"What the hell is that?!" yelled the man, as he turned around to see, but he saw nothing. "What it's nothing. Nothing's there, was it my imagination or something?"

"Oh it's most definitely not your imagination. I'm surprise that you could sense it. That must be that you know a little bit about the dark time laws. A forbidden law that most people have forgotten since long ago." asked Jin.

"How did you know I cultivate that law, as it should be a secret, I haven't even told my sect master that I practice this law?!!!" asked the man nervously.

"That's an easy one. I also practice this law, and I even acquired the Dark Time Sword, to go with it." said Jin casually.

"But that's impossible, as they were all destroyed in the last war!!!!!!" yelled the man.

"How stupid must you be.....To think that the Dark Time Swords can be destroyed!!! They are eternal weapons, that can never be destroyed. However they can be sent back in time, when their physical bodies are destroyed, but that doesn't that they themselves are gone forever. They just go back to the last place they were when someone found them. I currently only have 1 of them." said Jin

"Well, actually let's make that 2 now, as that necklace that you have on is also a Dark Time artifact, but I'm guessing that you didn't know that, as if you did you would know that they weren't destroyed. However could a person like you ever comprehend the Dark Time laws. It is a shame to have to kill someone who also cultivates the forgotten law, but you know the saying "There can only be one Dark Time Master, and that"s ME!!!!!!!!!!!" laughed Jin

Before the man could say anything his head flew off from his body, as the sword cut swiftly without hindrance. The necklace flew to it's new master, as the only way to claim the Dark Time artifacts were to either find one that hasn't had an owner or to kill the previous owner. Theses were the only ways to claim them.

"Nie Li, you can also come out now." said Jin.

"Ummmmmm, what was all that about, and what are these artifacts that you speak of?" asked Nie Li curiously. "They are a special set of artifacts, that help one comprehend the Dark Time laws, and each artifact has different unique abilities, and if/when they are combined together their power is incredible. I can't even begin to tell you how powerful they can be. However not everyone can learn this power, as the power itself is weird. It's almost like the this power picks it's successors, and whenever these successors run into each other it's a battle to the death, and whoever wins keeps the other artifacts. This is also why I could noticed him, actually that's the only reason. And since my artifact is mainly used for battle, I could easily kill him at my current level." replied Jin.

"Oh Ummmmm, I wasn't really interested in the artifacts. I was really asking about the thing with Xiao Ning'er. I saw what you did for her, and now that I know of her disease I could have treated it, but somehow you also knew how to. You claimed that it was common where you came from, but you mentioned that it was common for hybrids...Not regular humans...Are you a hybrid?" asked Nie Li.

"Yes and No...." replied Jin "I won't explain what I mean right now, as we don't have the time, but yes where I came from, we did have hybrids.....actually thats all we had. We didn't accept anything else, especially not pure humans, as they tend to kill the things they don't understand, and it would put the sect at risk of being found. Humans have a smell that every demon beasts or hybrids can smell and so if we had a human in the sect everyone would know, and that would bring unwanted attention to us." answered Jin

"Let's hurry back before the others wake up, and noticed that we are gone.....I'll answer your questions later." said Jin as he hurried back to the group.
