Design Wedding Dresses

"No need, no need!" Gu Xiao Xiao declined Chu Xiao Xi's great idea. "I have met with him. Chu Xiao Xi, I want to deal with that on my own."

"Alright, I won't force you." Chu Xiao Xi stared at her for a while and sighed, "But if anything goes wrong, remember to tell me."

Gu Xiao Xiao nodded. She watched Chu Xiao Xi enter the study before she drank a cup of water and sat down to watch TV.

Her mind was not on the show at all. Gu Xiao Xiao replayed everything that's happened this past month in her mind and realized how unpredictable life is. It's only been a month. But thinking back, it felt like it's been forever?

"Gu Xiao Xiao, come here!"

Chu Xiao Xi's voice arose from the study, stopping Gu Xiao Xiao's train of thought. She walked to the study and pushed open the door. The study had turned into a battlefield.

The table was in a disarray and there were crumbled papers all over the floor. Gu Xiao Xiao walked over and saw how exasperated Chu Xiao Xi was. She asked, "What's wrong?"

"I can't draw it." Hugging onto Gu Xiao Xiao's waist and leaning her head against her, Chu Xiao Xi asked for consolation.

There were a bunch of papers on the desk that were of her past designs. But time was running out and she hasn't made much progress with her work.

Gu Xiao Xiao gently patted Chu Xiao Xi's head and flipped through the sketchbook that was on her desk.

"Chu Xiao Xi, why don't you design a few wedding dresses this year." Gu Xiao Xiao's sudden words were astonishing.

"Wedding dresses?" Chu Xiao Xi was a little startled and sat up straight. "Why did your mind go there?"

"GJ's prominence is due to its high class, luxurious, fashionable, and unique qualities. Online sources said you wanted your design to be worn to red carpet events but also be wearable in everyday life. But, looking through all your designs, I see no wedding dresses."

Gu Xiao Xiao explained her thoughts. 

"There are so many people who like your clothes. For sure a lot of people anticipate you coming out with a wedding dress line. There is very little production of GJ merchandise every year. If someone gets to wear such a rare find at their wedding, then it would be a wonderful thing. Honestly, I have been thinking about what's happening to me. If it's Jin Jing, I bet she would be looking forward to wearing a GJ wedding dress for her wedding with Mu Fan Yan."

"So you want me to design a wedding dress for her?"

"How's that possible!" Gu Xiao Xiao denied. "You are a fashion designer and you've never had a dream wedding dress of your own? Jin Jing is going to get married, but so will you and I! Think about what you want to be wearing when you get married and think about what I would wear when I get married. Picture it."

Chu Xiao Xi stared at Gu Xiao Xiao for a bit then flashed a big smile.

"Alright, I get it, retreat!"

She waved her arm and then went back to focusing on her work. Gu Xiao Xiao picked up a design sketch that was on the ground. Honestly, every piece in her eyes was beautiful. She then turned to look at Chu Xiao Xi, who's appearance was now in a disarray. She couldn't believe there'd come a day when she'd look like this. No wonder every year, she would disappear for a few months. She must've been busy doing this. 

Chu Xiao Xi worked until 3 in the morning. When she was just about to go upstairs to sleep, she saw the TV light was still on in the living room. She walked over and saw that Gu Xiao Xiao had fallen asleep on the couch.

"Gu Xiao Xiao," she kneeled down and patted the person who was now dreaming. Chu Xiao Xi spoke in a gentle voice, "Go sleep in your room."
