Goblin Campout

I flipped the dagger around in my hand, feeling it's weight and grip. It was a nice weapon, especially for so early on in the game. I looked over to my small elven friend, as they too looked upon their new weaponry. We stared at each other in amazement at the quality of the items.

"This leagues better than the crap I had before," JohnPierre said, staring up at her companion.

"Yeah, this'll definitely help us level up and complete quests, at least for a little while. Say, let's head back to the quest giver shall we?" I reply, heading out the Smithy and out onto the streets.

"Yeah, let's head out," JohnPierre replied, following me out of the shop.

As we made our way to the original quest giver, we had a look around Floria. This game really was beautiful, with its flowing grasses and chiseled stones. I could hear the crackling of small stones under my shoes as we walked to the NPC.

When we finally reached her, she began to speak. "Ah, I see you've gotten yourselves equipped. Now if you could please go and rescue my daughter, she was captured by goblins, just east of Floria. Please, save my daughter!" The NPC wailed.

"Yes yes, of course, we'll go save your daughter, we'll be back soon" I brushed off the NPC like you would speed through text in an RPG. I waved the NPC off and went on my way with JohnPierre east of Floria, towards the goblin camps.

Our trip towards the goblin camp was uneventful. We traversed the Florian forest, and looked among the beautiful scenery, filled with Flora and Fauna. Seasondeer scampered around the forest, and Whistlebirds could be heard throughout the echoey woods. After walking for a few miles down the overgrown path, we saw a glow amongst the shaded woods in the distance. The crackling of a nearby fire! JeanPierre and I stealthily made our way over to the sounds, and peered over into the campsite.

In the campsite lie 5 goblins, all hunched around the campfire. Illuminated by the slight glow of the campfire, was a young girl, who looked to be around the same age as our target.

I whispered to Jean,"I think that's our girl, Jean. We should go attack."

"I agree, Another. Let's take this carefully-"

As Jean was talking, I ran straight into battle, and hit one of the goblins with a "Lucky Kick!"

Just like that, the goblin was dead in an instant, but now I had a new problem on my hand. The 4 other goblins snarled and growled, picking up their weapons and charging at me. Jean then went out of the shadows and cleaved one of them with her massive Bronze Greatsword, cleaving through two of the goblins. They slid onto the ground, grunting from the cleave they just endured. I quickly reacted and went after the two, still standing goblins. I slashed the goblin to my right in the chest with my new dagger, and used my old chipped sword to pierce through the other goblin's arm. The goblins writhed and squealed in pain, as I cut and stabbed with my weapons. While I was on the offensive, the two goblins that were cleaved by Jean comically sized greatsword got back on their feet and charged at Jean, however, she quickly counter attacked by shielding their attacks with her sword. With that block, she opened up an attack for me, which I took my knife and slashed both of the goblins, both of them disappearing into dust.

Now only two goblins remained, and they were already damaged. Jean quickly disposed of the final two goblins with a swing of her greatsword.

After defeating the small group of goblins, we walked over to the young girl and untied her. "Are you alright, girl?" Jean asked, in a soft, motherly tone.

"I-I'm fine" the girl muttered, still shaken. Despite being bruised a bit, it seems nothing bad had happened to her, luckily.

"Don't worry, little one, we'll get you back to your mommy" Jean continued, taking the girl's hand, and slowly picking her up off the ground.

"Alright then, let's head back to the village!" I shouted, as we slowly made our way back to the village.
