Returning To Town.

The walk back to Floria was once again uneventful. Jean, the girl, and I enjoyed the forest scenery as we walked the rough wooded path.

When we finally arrived back into town, the woman whom we'd taken the quest from was at the front gate, arms open, awaiting for her little girl to come back. The young girl ran off and jumped into her mother's arm, them hugging each other in a familial embrace. Jean and I stared at each other with content. Despite it being so generic, we felt happiness in what we'd done. The quest was fulfilling, and we could continue on with our adventures. All of a sudden, a screen popped up:

[QUEST CLEARED!]

The Mother's child has been successfully returned! With a wonderful reunion, the two have been happily reunited. In exchange for your help in rescuing her daughter, the mother has given you a gift

[CLEAR REWARDS!]

(200 EXP)

(75 Tyles)

(+100 REP in Floria)

… I expected more from that, but I guess these rewards are excusable since this is meant to be a beginner quest. Well it was fine, we had gotten our rewards, and had had a good time playing for the day. I said my goodbyes, and logged off for the day. I decided to browse the forums for a bit, to see if there was any news on bug fixing.

{LIVE UNIVERSE NEWS!}

"Good day players! I hope you're all having a wonderful time enjoying the release of Live Universe. We've heard your voices, and we're here to assure you that we will be pushing out bug fixes soon! And we will also be doing ban appeals in the very near future, since a lot of you have been falsely banned. Please continue playing Live Universe, and look forward to our next big updates!"

I turned off my computer, and laid in my bed. "Well, looks like they'll finally be patching up that buggy mess of a game. I'm glad it's getting fixed, a bugless game makes for a better experience." I muttered to myself, dozing off to sleep.

The second I woke up, I got dressed and ready for work. I was just outta college, and I still had to work to get my student loans paid off, and to pay for my insanely high electric bill. I slipped on my work shoes, and headed off to work.

Work was a total slog, as I spent the entire day taking calls and helping customers with their problems. It was a boring and uneventful day, as it always had been.

I hurriedly went home, excited to play a more bug free Live Universe. When I got home, I turned on my SkyVisor, and booted up Live Universe. To my surprise, I was greeted with a pop-up.

[ANNOUNCEMENT]

"We apologize for the inconvenience, but Live Universe is currently down for bug fixing. Please be patient while we fix things up!"

I sighed and turned off the SkyVisor. "Man, I was so looking forward to playing some more Live Universe, oh well, I guess I'll be able to play tomorrow. Ah well, I guess I'll watch some TV while I wait for the game to go back up, it shouldn't be long now.
