Kobold Chieftain

A blast of cool air wooshed towards us as we entered the boss room. An aura of bloodlust came from the center of the area. There, stood the Kobold Chieftain, standing at almost 7 feet in height, and towering over our entire party. The Chieftain let out a vicious roar and hit his staff into the ground, causing trembles to echo about the forest. We anchored ourselves close to the ground and withdrew our weapons.

"Everyone, get into positions!" The Cleric shouted, moving towards the back of the formation, while Swordsman and I stayed near the front. The Chieftain charged at us with furious fervor. Swordsman taunted the Chieftain towards a tree, and quickly dodged the Chieftain's incoming charge. The Chieftain ran into the tree, and became stunned, and my time to attack had come.

Live Universe's body system was extremely complex, most creatures almost perfectly mimicking their real life counterparts, to the point that even cutting muscle was a viable way of fighting. Though Live Universe was definitely a buggy game, it was still a feat of programming, akin to Dwarf Fortress, which has been in development for over 46 years and was a major inspiration content wise for Live Universe.

Using this knowledge, I sliced the muscles at the Chieftain's feet, making him fall to the ground with a glorious THUD. Swordsman, Ranger and I all started wailing on the Chieftain, putting in as much damage as we possibly could do, before the Chieftain called upon his shamans, and healed his injuries.

The Chieftain soon got up and banged his staff into the ground, summoning Kobold warriors to his aid.

"Swordsman will take care of the Kobolds, while ANOTHER will take care of the Chieftain. I'll make sure that both of you receive support. Is everyone all in agreement?" Cleric stated.

"Yup!" We all said in unison, as I charged at the Kobold Chieftain, he swung his cane towards my way. I dodged his attack and went straight for his chest.

"Lucky Kick!" I yelled out, as I kicked the Chieftain's stomach, dealing a massive 2080 damage to the Chieftain. The Chieftain roared in pain and went into his second stage. Large protruding horns grew out of the Chieftain's head, and his skin turned a blood red. The tip of the Chieftain's staff bursted off and became a blade, transforming the staff into a spear.

The Chieftain charged towards me with his mighty spear, sending a flurry of blows towards me, and cutting my HP to nearly half in a single attack.

"Agh!" I yelled, as I was tossed to the floor. Lucky Kick was on cooldown, and we were all nearing death, so I could only do one thing.

"RANDOM DRAW!" I screamed, as a random item appeared in my hand. It was a large dagger, shining with gold plating and a bejeweled crest, and a long, platinum chain attached to it. I threw the dagger from the chain into the Chieftain's neck, and pulled the Chieftain down to the ground, but while doing so, the Chieftain's spear came hurtling towards me.

It was at that moment that I heard a loud THUMP, as the Chieftain's head rolled to the floor.

"I saw you were in need of some help, bro." it was Swordsman, who had dealt the final blow with his greatsword. I was grateful for his help in the fight, even if it was at the very end.
