After using my skill points and gaining some new skills, I headed back to the Rogue's Association to turn in my quest and get the payment. I was greeted by the "always meh" receptionist standing at the desk.

The receptionist sighed, and looked up from his moldy, destitute desk, "is there anything I can do for you..?"

"I'm just here to turn in a quest, is all," I replied quietly, staring intently at the receptionist.

The receptionist took a look at the completed quest sheet, and silently handed me my 250 Tyle reward. The receptionist and I locked eyes for a moment. He stared at me with discontent, and looked unhappy with his current life. In an odd way, I empathize with him.

I sat down at one of the many tables scattered across the 1st floor of the building, and sat down at one near the task board, and pulled up the "Reputation" menu. This was a menu I had yet to touch, because I've had no need for it, but now that I've become a part of the Rogues Association, the feature would be coming into much more use.

[REPUTATION]

Floria: Known (600)

-5% cost reduction at all shops. NPCs are more willing to cooperate with you, and will generally be nicer to you than those with lower reputation.

Tergaron: Known (500)

-5% cost reduction at all shops. NPCs are more willing to cooperate with you, and will generally be nicer to you than those with lower reputation.

Rogues Association: F+ (250)

-Can take up to F+ quests on the task board, and may be asked to do small tasks around the HQ town and the HQ itself.

I stared at the somewhat basic reputation screen for a moment. It was almost perplexing how simple, and yet how completely useless this screen was. While it did tell me what "tier" of reputation I was at, and the benefits for it, it told nothing of how you gained reputation, though I could fairly easily assumed how it was done; the menu also said nothing about what the reputation cap was, or what the amount of reputation was needed in order to "tier" up. Curse those lazy devs and their lack of tutorials or information! I'd have to remember to look up some info on that at a later date… nonetheless, I was well on my way up the ranks of the Rogues Association, and I was excited to see what reward awaited me on the top of this ladder that players are ever-climbing.

I closed up the reputation window, and logged out of Live Universe. It had been a long day in game, and if anything, it was quite eventful. I went to bed peacefully, in a dreamless sleep. When I awoke, I got ready for my usual office job, putting on my shoes and clothes, I headed out the door to work.

Work was as usual, uneventful. I went about my business, doing paperwork and managing excel spreadsheets. It was nothing out of the ordinary for one of my many many work days.

Once my work day had finally finished, I headed home ready to go back and play Live Universe once again. I sat down on my couch, and booted up my SkyVisor. I slid my head into the console, and was once again entered into the world of Live Universe.

When I spawned in, I was at the front of the Rogues Association, right outside it's entrance. I entered the building, and walked over to the small task board to the side of the room. I looked across the many tasks, and picked up a task for F+ rank and above.

[TASK]

Protection Task: Protect the merchant Laurence Kagher on his way to Floria

Rewards:

+100 Rogues Associaton REP

+150 Tergaron REP

+50 Floria REP

350 Tyles

200 EXP

The rewards for this fairly simple task seemed pretty good, so I took it, and headed towards the quest marker blinking in my line of sight.
