Co-Grinding (Part 2)

"Ugh, Grinding normal mobs suck, y'know? It's so boring, I wanna fight something cooler. Something more worthwhile. Something more interesting!" JeanPierre shouted, as we continued to battle the Plainswolves.

"I agree, fighting the same mob over and over is pretty boring, even after only doing three or four… want to go find some better mobs up at Mt.Yceculd? We could probably find some Frost Abominations there. I heard they give some pretty high exp. It'll be a really hard battle though, I'm pretty sure they're practically 1.25x our level." I said, finishing off my last Plainswolf.

"Eeh, I'm sure it'll be fine, haha! Let's go, before more Plainswolves start to spawn." JeanPierre replied, jogging off back into town. I followed suit, pointing off to the north gate, where Mt.Yceculd was located. We briskly walked through Tergaron, and arrived at the north gate within less than 20 minutes of entering the town. JeanPierre and I trudged up the mountain for about half an hour, until we reached a small flat clearing, lurking in the slightly windy, snow covered stone were two Frost Abominations. We slowly approached the couple of Abominations, and slyly drew our weapons, prepared to attack at any moment. The Frost Abominations got up from their resting place, and began to sniff around. Their large, flat snouts pointed upwards into the air.

The two monsters stared at us, blankly, before quickly charging at JeanPierre and I in tandem. Like a married wrestling couple, they jumped into the air with grace, and slammed into the ground, shaking the area like an earthquake. JeanPierre and I wobbled around, before finding our balance and getting back up. We countered the Abomination couple's ground suplex with a quick stab to the face. I jumped up to the first Abomination, and jabbed my daggers into both of it's eyes, it wretched in pain, and swung it's head around, with me on it. I held on for my life as I was swung left right and center, the Abomination eventually scratched out my daggers, and I was sent flying to the ground.

With the Abomination's eyes incapacitated, I wailed blows onto their limbs, adding gash after gash onto it's muscled, toned arms. The Abomination violently slammed their fist onto me, causing me to cough in pain, as the air was quite literally smashed out of me. I gasped for air, as my vision became hazy and blurred. I steadily got up, and held my head with my hand, trying to keep myself steady.

"Oi, Terry, I could use some help here!" JeanPierre shouted, holding back the other Abomination's fist with their now damaged greatsword.

"I-I'm on it…" I stuttered, trying to run over to JeanPierre as fast as I could. I knew I'd have to break out my skills.

"Lucky Kick!" I yelled, as I hurled towards the second Abomination. I kicked the Abomination in the head, and I heard the cracking of their skull caving in on itself

[CRITICAL HIT!]

The Abomination's head crumpled like a plastic bag. The Abomination fizzled into dust and died. Enraged, the first Abomination, faced towards our direction, and let out an ear-piercing roar. The Abomination charged us, with blood streaming down from its eyes. It slammed it's large, hooved feet into the ground and caused great trembling within the area. JeanPierre and I stood our ground.

"Random Draw!" I shouted, a random item appearing in my hand.

[Bad Knife of Flaming Hell]

+1 DMG

+10 Fire DMG

"This sucks… but I guess I have to use it!" I said to myself, throwing the dagger into the Abomination's abdomen. All of a sudden, the Abomination burst into flames, and screeched at the top of it's lungs as it began to burn alive. The now bonfire'd Abomination was reduced to ashes, and perished.

"Never again. I do not want to grind outside of quests ever again." I said, sighing, as I laid down on the ash laden snow.

"I'm inclined to agree pal. That was.. Tough." JeanPierre responded. We had both disregarded any notifications we had gotten, so we decided to look over all that we got from killing the two Frost Abominations.

[KILLED FROST ABOMINATION x2]

+350 EXP

+150 Tyles

"Yeah, this definitely wasn't worth it…" I said, mopily.

"Well, It could've been worse. Let's head back to town, eh?" JeanPierre said, with a slight grin on their face.

"Yeah, let's head back and log off, it's been a long day." I said, starting to walk back down the path to town.

After a few hours of walking, we finally made it back to Tergaron. Both of us sat at a bench and caught our breath. After resting for a few minutes, we decided to go our separate ways, and log off where we pleased. I headed off to the Josium Emporium, and logged off in front of the store.

I took off my SkyVisor and set it down on the nightstand next to me, and went to bed. Without eating dinner or getting ready, I fell asleep on the spot.
