New Functions

We arrived at the Josium Emporium, and I introduced the entire "Tea Bandit" gang to Old Man Josie.

"Hey Josie, I know you just hired me, but I got some new uhh… staff that have agreed to work here, free of charge. All they ask is room and board. Are you alright with that?" I asked politely, keeping eye contact with the old man, to ensure he knew I was serious.

"Hmm... perhaps. It depends on how good of workers they are. We don't really need help around the shop itself, but a couple of you helping would be nice. It'd be best if you could work on repairs. This shop is quite old, you know. It's in need of quite a few repairs." Old Man Josie said, gleefully.

The entire Tea Bandit gang smiled back at him, as one of them stepped forward. "We would be more than happy to help with repairs and work here!" all the bandits cheered in joy.

Another bandit piped up, "we can use our old campsite as resources for the repairs! It'll cost us less!" the bandits all cheered again. They may not have been the brightest, but they were a charming group of fellows

"Alright, I'll let you guys do that. I have some business to attend to," I said, waving them goodbye as they left the shop. I had a slight grin on my face. It was a sense of accomplishment and pride. I felt like a doting father who finally got their rambunctious child to behave.

"Well, that was certainly worth it." I quietly murmured to myself, admiring the quest complete screen. That was when I realized… "Wait, a new function? What could that mean?"

"Well… I'm surprised. I didn't think I'd get an entire new mechanic from this quest. This is really interesting. Can I get them to build stuff for me? Go hunting? This opens up a lot of possibilities to me… but I think it'll have to wait until the Tea Bandits are done with their deconstruction." I whispered to myself, exiting the Josium Emporium.

I left for the Rogues Association, and realized I had also gained a level from that quest. How wonderful.

After a bit of walking, I arrived at the Rogues Association. I sat down, and lounged around for a bit, wondering what to do. I still wanted to go up the ranks, but I wasn't sure what I'd get from it. Nonetheless, I knew it'd be good.

I quickly checked my Reputation screen, to see if anything had changed

"Hmm, looks like I have my own room at the Association now, and it looks like the Tea Bandits trust me a lot, too. This is some good information to have." I continued.

After looking at my reputation screen, I decided to go check out my room upstairs. The secretary gave me a small key, and pointed to the stairs to the right, which led upwards. I walked up the winding staircase, and eventually reached the second floor, where I saw halls with many different doors, all with different numbers on them.

"Hmm, looks like my room is number 777… what a coincidence." I murmured. As I entered the room, I had a quick look around. It obviously wasn't the best looking place, but since it was free, I decided to let it slide.

Inside the room was a twin bed, a small wooden desk and chair, and a candle. Overall it was pretty barren, but it was much better than having to pay for an inn every time I logged off. I sighed, and laid down on the virtual bed, and logged off. I knew I planned to do another task, but I was just too tired, and every task I did just kept getting wilder and wilder.

I took off my SkyVisor and sat it down on the coffee table next to me. I stretched for a bit, and checked the time. It was almost 12 AM! I should really get to bed, especially since I have to work tomorrow…

I got up from the couch, and got ready for bed, so I could be well rested for another day.
