The Noble Daughter

I woke up early in the morning, and headed off to work. It was a Monday, and those always were the worst, since I had to catch up with work from the weekend. After tirelessly working for 8 hours, I was finally able to come home and relax.

The first thing I did before logging on was go onto the forums. I wanted to find out more about the minion system and its general functions. I turned on my computer, and as it whirred and started up, I grabbed a cup of tea. After my computer had booted up, I pulled up the Live Universe forums, and started searching. I didn't have much time after all, and I wanted to get back to playing as quickly as possible.

After searching for a few minutes, I found a forum post about minions, though it seemed to be pretty lackluster.

[How Minions Work (Or How I Think They Work.)]

"Hi everyone, I'm here to talk about minions and their functions. I've only had my minions for a few days, so don't expect this to be some in-depth guide on how they work. From what I've discovered so far, Minions work as follows:

Minions can be obtained in a multitude of ways, mainly through quests or high reputation with certain towns, associations, or small groups\

Depending on the type of minions you have, your reputation may affect what they will do for you.

After experimented with my minions for a while, I've found that my minions have these functions

-collect resources

-fight mobs/grind exp

-build structures

-take care of player assigned jobs

I have a fairly high reputation with my minions, so I'm not sure what of those options are locked away for other players, but I hoped this small little info forum page helped out a bit. I'm not sure if anyone else has minions yet, but tell me if this helped you at all!"

"Woah, I didn't even know something like this existed in game. Awesome!" - XxD00MSL4Y3RxX

"I have a minion, and this really helped me figure out what it could do, thanks!" -Sl4veMaster

The post ended there, and although it was short, it was more than sufficient information to tell me what I could and couldn't do with my minions. Informative, at the very least.

I logged off the forums and turned on my SkyVisor, and logged onto Live Universe. When I spawned into the game, I was inside my room at the Rogues Association. I quickly walked out, locked the door, and headed out to the Josium Emporium.

When I finally arrived at the Emporium, the Tea Gang was waiting for me.

"Yo, boss, where ya been?" one of them asked

"Oh, just finishing up some business, about to go on a job, is there anything you guys need before I go?" I asked.

"Nah boss, but if there's anything you need us to do while you're gone, we'll do it." the leader of the group piped up.

[SELECTION]

What would you like for the "Tea Bandits" to do?

> Construct

> Grind (Selected)

>Come With

I selected the "Grind" Option, and a system message came up on my screen.

[Grind option selected! For the next 72 ingame hours, the "Tea Bandits" will grind mobs and resources. You will get 50% of all EXP gained when you return.]

This was an amazing option for something I got pretty early in the game! This meant i'd have to grind mobs for levels a lot less, this was amazing!

I said my goodbyes and left for back to the Rogues Association to pick up a new task, however, whenever I went in there, a man came up to me.

"Hi there, I'm from the Rogues Association, it seems you have a… personal request. A small-time baron has asked for you to guard his daughter on her trip to Durnatel. Will you accept?" The man offered.

[QUEST UNLOCKED!]

Safely transport Baron Morgery's daughter to Durnatel

Rewards:

- 3500 EXP

-3000 Tyles

-Possible relations to Nobility

-1500 Tergaron REP

-750 Rogues Association REP

Hmm. this was an amazing offer...

"I'll accept!" I proclaimed, taking the Task paper out of the man's hand.

"Great, be there in two hours.." The man said. I simply nodded, and left to go prepare for the long journey I had ahead of me.
