Avalon
When he finally came back to himself, his ears kept on ringing like the time he entered the tomb. He could also hear a fading in beeping noise and while his vision finally returned he noticed that he was in an empty room lying in a bed.
His arms had what looked like a needle stuck in them and it felt like it was dripping something into him which made him uncomfortable, straight away he ripped it out to find that it wasn't just a small needle but rather a decently long tube.
Next, the beeping noise became faster until it was constant. A loud bang occurred as a monitor fell to the floor. This alerted the people outside who ran into the room with what looked like a syringe with a clear substance inside, all of Kimaris's instincts told him to avoid that syringe.
Two muscly men both rushed at him who were both taller than the already tall Kimaris, one of them reached out to grab him which was when Kimaris in return grabbed his arm and jumped over him, he managed to get him into submission on the floor as the other person grabbed onto Kimaris's gown, only to find that he can't push him down on the floor. Kimaris let out a punch which simply sent the person flying off into the wall.
In response to the doctor with the syringe, Kimaris quickly ran around him and dashed out into the maze of corridors which all looked the same. He eventually opened the only door he could find which didn't look like the same one he came from, it was a large door which led to stairs which only went up.
He dashed up the stairs knocking everyone out of his way, he had made it up at least five floors before he came upon a guarded door which a man was standing in front, unlike everyone else this person was waiting patiently and wearing a smart old-style suit making him stand out from the crowd. His instinct died out and suggested that he shouldn't try to go through those people but to talk to them.
"Boy, you were on the brink of death only a few hours ago. But, just seconds ago you beat up the best two guards in the 'Gate Association'"
What Kimaris heard from the man surprised him, last he knew he was still in the forbidden mountain range but now he's in some sort of association?
"What is this association you're talking about? Where am I?"
"One step a time, boy. We're currently on the island of Avalon, one of our advanced raid parties were training nearby the forbidden gate in the old continent, but what they found was that the gate suddenly started to shrink and eventually disappeared, and guess what! You came flying right out of it!"
"What is this Avalon? This feels like a completely different climate to that gate."
"Well that's right, you weren't responding to us for the past two months. We're now nearing the start of Autumn. And this is the new oasis of humanity, it's an island built by the 10 great families after disaster struck and they nearly got wiped off by monsters from gates. This is a place where we build up capable warriors so that one day we can go reclaim the forbidden continent and restore humanity to its glory."
Kimaris could piece together with his own knowledge what had happened while the Kesarch family secluded themselves, it seemed that the remaining great families had prepared an escape plan for humanity after the gates started to appear and as a result of the 93rd patriarch's actions, they had compelled to move to the island now named Avalon out of fear.
"I wish to return back to what you call the forbidden continent, how do I get there?"
"Well, that is quite impossible for you right now."
Kimaris's fist could be seen folding up into a fist and his muscles starting to tense. "What do you mean? You brought me here, yet, you can't release me back?"
"It's just like that, only rank C conquerors of the 'Gate Conquerors' may venture out in a team to explore the forbidden continent. Otherwise, you are stuck here."
"Well, then how do I become this 'Gate Conqueror'."
"Quite simple! You must graduate from one of the seven warrior academies in Avalon and become a member of my association which is made to deal with these gates!"
