[Leala Black's/ Bree Gold's point of view]
[In the Seen World]
Being alone in this Seen World not surrounded by anyone made my waiting journey even more painful. And as my expectations came true, I saw them leave one after the other.
I woke up this morning and asked again about Nixon who no one remembered but myself. he left for the Golden World while I still stood here on my balcony dreaming I was there with them. My full consciousness knew I was not there with them, but what is wrong with imagining? I wanted it.
"Ms. Kazumi, your tea is ready in the tea room, and..." a maid called me.
"And?"
"Your mother is back from her trip. Would you like to greet her by the villa entrance...?"
"I have to." The words were forcefully pulled out of my mouth.
I would not have liked to go and greet her, but being her daughter, it was an obligation I had to blindly follow. I could not be presenting myself to her in any other way, but... "Greetings Mother," I shallowly smiled at her.
"You don't seem happy," she scanned me top to bottom," You have gotten into a fight with your sister again?" she truly was a mother.
"No, mother. I just..."
"Nevermind, we're a family after all. You don't have to look perfect when it's only us here." Her warm smile back at me reminded me of the beauty of this Seen World which gradually started digging its grave on the back of my mind.
"Yes, I understand, Mother."
'Maybe... staying here is not a bad thing after all.'
I excused myself and left to the tea room. The closer I got to the tea room the stronger the cinnamon and rose smell from my tea and favorite biscuits got. I could not run, so I took larger, faster steps to them. The cinnamon smell was full of my Golden World days. The smell of the same tea Asami prepared for herself on rainy, cloudy days.
"Creek~" I pushed the door open. "Ms. Kazumi, which side of the table would you like to sit on?" my house's Butler asked me. My only happiness was eating these biscuits and having tea sitting on that table on the left side and imagining Asami was sitting on the other side like we always did. "My usua... on the right side, please..." I tried holding my rusted happiness, "That's different than usual, Miss."
"A change. I want a change today." I lied to him; I would never change my seat for whatever reason. I'm only doing it because someone dared sitting on my seat. Once my butler placed everything in their place, he pulled the chair for me to sit then pushed it back closer to the table.
The butler left and it was only I and that intruder sitting opposite of me. The lights from the window on my right side looking to my back yard shined on us. I waited for whoever it was to speak. Five minutes passed with no attempt to speak from that person.
"What do you think of me LEALA BLACK," he smiled at me, "You don't seem happy. I bit you never are happy here, LEALA BLACK." his deep, low voice filled my head.
"Why do you call me that?"
"That? It's your name. What do you mean by why?"
"I'm Bree Gold. And there was never Leala Black... I knew all the Blacks."
"Not anymore, Leala. You ain't Bree Gold anymore."
"Who are you? "
"Is now the right time to ask? Well, you're late. You can see me Bree, or should I say Leala... now."
I raised my hands and spread my fingers on my forehead with my elbow still resting on the table, "Klaus, stop your stupid cool act already. I can see you, you know..."
"Boring. You're so BORING, BREE~" Klaus, my KEY that I had waited for all this time, whined at me.
"I hate your whining... Will you stop it already?"
"This is one thing I hoped will change in you. Did I hope for a lot? Anyways~ Breee~"
"is it my time to leave?"
"Yes, but not to the Golden House." He pulled my hands to his...
We left the Seen World at last.
.
[In the Golden World]
"Hello... We meet again..." I remembered this first cross-bridge between the two worlds.
"Welcome back, Bree Gold. You can see your book from last time right in front of you. Pick it up and flip to a new page. That's your new identity. Read it out loud." the same unseen voice welcomed me again.
"The Golden KEY's Group: Group 1
KEY's Name: Klaus
KEY's Code: 23069
Master Code: Leala Black
Welcome Bree Gold to the Golden World"
I opened my eyes to the darkness of the shadows; surrounded by people from every direction. With my eyes, I tested the place I was in. The black and silver walls. the diamond-shaped table in front of me. The place's windows that matched the place's heights. You would expect this place to be full of light with those tall to the roof windows, but no, they were covered by a light-blocking see-though sheath. This place is a place I remember, but its not the Golden House. It was a place I had to visit a few times before. But even though I recognized the place alone, everyone there was unfamiliar to me.
"I'm in the 'Black Castle', ain't I?"
"You recognize the place?" a guy who gave me his back replied to my doubt. He stood facing a large glassy dim window which light barely escaped through. Rethinking my words, I should have not shown that I knew the place as I was a first-timer.
"What's your name, little girl?" He was not any older than me.
"I'm G1's Leala Black..."
"I see, Leala," he slowly turned around to face me," I'm Ash Black. The only one like yourself here; a G1 former. It's surprising how you came a day before the G1's meeting. I will at least have a company now." His unrecognizable smile stabled me like an arrow in the chest. There was still a part of my memory that is missing? A part of me that I may not have recognized yet...
