She walked towards their door to find Xia Qingli talking to her grandfather, Mo Xiao and Elder Mo. She was angry that he came but she couldn't show it. If her grandfather found that she was angry with him, he could easily guess the reason and she didn't want that. Finally calming her rage, she greeted him.
"Brother Qingli, it's great to see you again. Long time no see." she smiled at him.
"Exactly, I was scolding him for the same. Qingli, I'm seeing you after 3 to 4 years. You should visit us often." said Elder Jing smiling widely. He was happy to see him here. After his wife's death Jing Qiao, Sia's grandfather found himself feeling lonely. That was when he adopted Xia Qingli and raised him. Though Sia was his favorite and used to visit him on regular basis, but she couldn't stay with him forever. He raised and trained Xia Qingli to become a soldier, but he chose a different path for him, though he was slightly disappointed he was happy for him, he never forced his grandchildren. He called Xia Qingli to meet Mo Xiao his future brother-in-law.
Xia Qingli could see cold stares from both of his sides. He looked around to find Sia and Mo Xiao looking in his direction. He smiled and moved to elders to have a chat. Mo Xiao didn't know the relationship between Jing Qiao and Xia Qingli. He never investigated his family background, he just knew his activities which were extremely secretive and destructive, Xia Qingli's name was on top of Interpol's criminal list but no one knew his real name, they all knew him as Wolf. But, Mo Xiao knew all. (I'll explain it in further chapters, as to why he knew. Patience readers ;} )
Sia decided to ignore Xia Qingli's existence and turned her head to find Mo Xiao looking at him with a murderous intent in his eyes. She wondered what made him so angry.
Elders walked to the dining place with Xia Qingli for lunch leaving Mo Xiao and Sia alone. She quietly moved towards him, he was still staring at the direction the three left. She whispered close to his ears, "They are gone. Shall we join them? I need to attend a meeting later." she was so close to him that her breath tickled his skin. His body temperature rose rapidly and his ears turned red when he turned to face her. She giggled at his reaction.
'This is so damn unbelievable. Oh my god, I'm about nosebleed. He looks so charming yet dangerous, hot yet so cute. I can't take it anymore. I can't believe I'm going to marry him. This feels so surreal. But shouldn't he marry some rich socialite or for love? Why me?' She thought to herself while giggling but her last questions made her feel uncomfortable. She felt extremely inferior when it came to love. She sighed.
He was confused at her reactions, a moment ago she was giggling, next second she was sad and now she was expressionless. He held her hand with a worried face.
"Are you alright?" he said. He looked really worried which made her smile.
"Yes of course. Come let's join them." She said before walking towards the others.
The lunch passed in peace, Elder Mo was asking Sia different questions regarding her post, current projects, profession and life. He was satisfied with her answers. He occasionally asked questions to Xia Qingli. Elder Jing was busy with Mo Xiao; he would sometimes find Mo Xiao looking at Sia's smiling and laughing face while answering his grandfather, looking at softened expression of Mo Xiao, Jing Qiao was sure that this guy definitely loved his granddaughter. Now he was genuinely happy to hand her to him.
Elder Mo also didn't know about Xia Qingli relation with Elder Jing and Sia, because Jing Qiao never publicized it due to maternal Xia Qingli's family, they were dangerous.
It was when Sia's phone rang that she recognized that she was going to be late. It was going to be her first time being late for a meeting. Elder Mo told Mo Xiao to drop her to work as he said before, she wanted to refuse but she couldn't afford to waste any more time. They left together. He also told his grandfather that he'll be going to Yuzhou Enterprises after dropping her.
"You came with your grandfather?" she asked obviously curious about something but he couldn't pinpoint it. "No. I had some work on the way." he replied almost instantly.
"Which beauty did you bring with you today?" she asked with a curious smile. Before he could say anything a servant returned with an exotic breathtaking beauty. She walked towards it with a small smile, just touching her caused adrenaline rush throughout her veins. Though it was not her favorite, still she couldn't help but skip a beat looking at the white beauty in front of her, a sparkling white Bugatti Chiron sport.
He was confused at her question first, but looking at the love struck fool in front of him he understood her question. He scratched his forehead smiling at her. He couldn't believe a car was enough to get that love struck expression plastered on her face. He walked towards the passenger door and opened it for her. She was still examining the car when she saw him opening the door for her, she reluctantly hopped in. He nearly laughed at her slightly pouted lips. He walked to the driver's seat and drove off.
"You don't seem to like the beauty?" he teased.
"I like beasts more." She smirked.
He laughed a loud at her words. She looked at him with a confused face. She blushed hard when she realized the hidden meaning in her words. She felt like burying herself right then and there, away from his eyes.
"So is there something I must know before marriage?" he asked. She sighed before replying him.
"I had a love before, but that's past. I don't like talking about him." she said softly. But before he could say something she remembered that gaze of him on Xia Qingli and continued, "By the way what do you think about Brother Qingli? I mean what do you feel when you see him?" it was a daring step for her, that she took.
He didn't know, but his heart hurt when she termed Xia Qingli as 'Brother Qingli', it sounded quite intimate. But he gloomily replied, "So he's the one. But he's not what he looks like you should be wary of him." He paused for a moment. He stopped the car at the side of the road and faced her. She was surprised when he stopped his car to look at her.
"Sia, do you know the culprit of your accident few days ago?" he asked nervously. He didn't know if she would believe him or not. He was more nervous looking at her staring at him expressionless, like a ghost.
She skipped everything he said before and hold onto the main topic and said, "You think he's the one that caused my accident?"
He was anxious as if afraid of her reaction, but he still nodded. He thought that at most she would scold him, yell at him. But, instead she looked troubled.
He wanted to console her, but he didn't know how. He didn't have any experience. He stood there waiting for her to say something. Time ticked by, she was silently thinking about something. He waited there, motionless. When she turned back to face him, wanting to talk to him, she saw him still as a statue, nervously looking at her.
"How much time did you require to find this?" she asked.
"One whole day, because though it happened in front of hospital any camera didn't catch his face." he said with the same serious expression as her.
She sighed. Her phone rang diverting her attention. It was Fang Yu. Then she realized that the meeting was about to start and yet she was at least 20 minutes by her speed.
"I'm done for." she said looking at her phone.
"How much time do you have?" he asked.
"Five minutes." she said.
"Sit tight." he said before speeding up. They reached her office in just ten minutes. It was extremely thrilling experience.
She felt really good. She happily exclaimed, "This beauty is actually good. I'll get going I'm late. But, listen don't tell about my culprit to Grandpa. I'll catch up with you later. Bye." She almost ran inside the office.
Mo Xiao was left there stressing over what exactly happened there. Does she still have a spot from Xia Qingli in her heart? She didn't say about Xia Qingli not being the culprit rather, told him to hide it from her grandfather. What exactly was there relationship? He couldn't guess it at all.
He sighed and sped towards his own company.
